Wood Defender has an amazing class in Mansfield Texas that they do every month. I took the class and came out with more knowledge than I imagined. They take you to a house to show you real life situation
I use a pump sprayer and take a rag to rub it in after I spray- soak it with stain. I like rubbing that stain into the grain. Maybe it’s overkill but that’s how I’ve always done it.
Joe, why does no one stain their fence anymore? I see so many fences out here in WA that are completely unfinished. It feels like a terrible way to protect an expensive investment...

My fence came out perfect using ready seal. Like you said a 2 gallon sprayer worked great
