I'm a Gamers Anonymous regular and man, wish I had been there to say hi. Glad you liked it; they always have something worth buying. As far as I know, the shop's always been in that shopping center. I actually helped move inventory to the current location. As someone else said, New Game Plus is actually run by GA's former owner (sold it so he could focus on NGP). He's a super cool guy. A bulk of the memorabilia and display cases around GA are thanks to him.
I was working in Santa Fe last spring and stumbled on 8 bit and it reinvigorated my passion for collecting games! Those guys are awesome and still hit them up from time to time for tips.
New Mexico is AWESOME! My 2 Biggest Finds of the Year, were in New Mexico! HUGE HUGE N64 LOT! and Tons of Boxed Nintendo Stuff! like $10K Value for all!
As an ABQ native, I think it's awesome that you came to visit! I actually own one of the many copies of Night Trap that was turned in to Gamers Anonymous. They had them for sale some years ago.
2:28 That Xbox One S was specifically made for Battlefield 1 when it released back in the day, there were other color variants for the One S when it was released, one for Gears of War, one for Minecraft, etc.
Hey Adam, if you’re interested in doing some more shop tour videos like this I think it would be worth your while to come out to the Inland Empire region of Southern California. As of late this area has become very dense with used/retro game stores. In particular you should check out a store called I Got Games in Yucaipa, CA. Not sure if you’ll ever have a reason to make your way out here, but it would be cool to see my area represented for something other than traffic, air quality problems, and warehouses.
I lived in Albuquerque for years and in NM for most of my life. I moved to San Francisco ten years ago which has zero retro gaming stores. We are getting a Nintendo store in 2025 though.
i'm an abq native and love gamers anonymous so i clicked on this video thinking "i would if he'll go there" and it was the first one! the guy who owns GA also owns New game + right next to it
Love the video and the n64 game you were going to buy but passed because it was chewed on lol. Look forward to checking a few of these out next month while I’m in Albuquerque. 🎉
I live in New Mexico and love Gamers Anonymous! Good friends with the owner and they always have the good stuff! Of course I was also in the store when you guys were filming😂! So happy to see Gamers Anonymous in this video!
I live in Los Lunas & go to our store all the time! their hours used to be more normal.. that WiiU kiiosk wasnt there last time I went to Gamers Anon. theyve been around for awhile.. & i dont remember a video game store in that mall, so I'm guessing it's new. I'm a have to go & see where it's located in the mall..
Everyone, don’t sleep on Noble. They are not a dedicated retro game store but they do lots of card games and have a great dvd/blueray selection. If you want to own physical media, dvds are a dollar and blue rays are 3 dollars. I’m in this place often and they have lots of good retro games rotating in and out. They have consoles in and out too. You can pick up a pretty nice 360 slim for $100 and the Xbox games are all still really cheap. Their knock off gamecube controllers are actually really high quality and less than $15. I prefer it to my brand new official Nintendo smash controller (no spongy buttons on the cheap ones)
I'm from alamogordo and never git my hands on onr if them e.t games. I had a huge gaming collection from my childhood back to 1985 and my storage got broke into and stolen so I'm starting over and it's a bad time everything is so much.
I can't remember if Nostalgia Bomb is the store that's been there or not but I think it's had like two or three retro gaming stores go in and out business in that same spot over the past decade. Really neat to see all the abq stores I've been to!! :3 Also, I've definitely gotta check out Grandma's for myself, didn't realize it was right down the road from the game shop I used to go to play card games at with friends a bunch, Nerdtopia.
regardless of time i wonder if those cabenits were from funcoland or kb as they look very similllar to game chasers N64 ones..but ye...this is awesome man! big love adam! as ever! travel safe my freind
I wish I had even a decent game store near me, but the best I have access to is Walmart. There used to be a game stop, but they went out of business (good riddance). I have to be a strictly Ebay guy these days.
@AdamKoralik I'm always looking but never seem to come across anything retro that I want in the condition I'm looking for. I do admit to being a stickler for high quality items though. I'm always jealous of the selection elsewhere though. Went to Fallout Games in Phoenix over the Summer and thought they were way better.
I have a younger cousin born 1988 he told me.recently in the 90 s he had only 6 nes games i said i though way more than 6 he sais nah in the 90 s early 2000 s the most games i had for a console was 25 with Nintendo 64.. i recall in october 1999 he had invited .me over to play super smash.bros
Just did video game hunting in Geneva, Switzerland. Had a good time. And also saw what a crapfest Xbox has become. Instead of proper new titles I can now buy an Xbox series S toaster.
@ the Warzone is part of Albuquerque, not the part of town you wanna be in. I’m sure your buddy knows about it if he’s from Albuquerque. I’m from LA but I know about it because I’ve been all around the US. I travel a lot so I know about all the cities in the US
new game+ an internet cafe in 2024 when people carry mobile computers in their pockets with an internet connection? "nice to see a genesis 3" is a lie but calling the atgames Genesis the GOAT is taking things too far. Sunshine makes any video better. 8 bit video games was the coolest of the shops you visited. Grandma's house was kinda cool, you gotta give it to them for just opening on weekends, when most people would want to visit. A lot of stuff there but well organised given the variety. No flying and no eating but still a good video! Sorcerer's mate? I hope you know it's hilarious when Americans do a terrible - and accidental - English accent.
Thanks for stopping by Albuquerque, I hope you guys had a chance to try some of the food here before you left!
Travel videos with all that will be on my other channel!

YES!
Never heard of it. Please tell me more anonymous stranger.

sweet video. My parents moved to Santa Fe recently, so i’ll certainly use this as a reference for the next visit
New Mexico is AWESOME! My 2 Biggest Finds of the Year, were in New Mexico! HUGE HUGE N64 LOT! and Tons of Boxed Nintendo Stuff! like $10K Value for all!
Some awesome looking stores this. Thanks Adam and Sunny Man for bringing us along.
I live in Belen, NM. I’m just down the road from Grandma’s House and will help refurbish stuff there for store credit from time to time.
Ah, just the kind of comfy background youtube I was needing while doing chores around the house, The Koralik gods deliver again
Checkin these places out tmrw! Thanks for your vid!

The Night Trap trade-in is absolute legend. I managed to pick up a copy at the time as well. Wish it had the manual, but it's at least boxed.
2:28 That Xbox One S was specifically made for Battlefield 1 when it released back in the day, there were other color variants for the One S when it was released, one for Gears of War, one for Minecraft, etc.
Grandma’s house is one of my favorite Games stores always find something when I go there
some very cool pickups for sure! grandma's house sounds like a store that would be right up my alley with an equal mix of imports and US releases.

Pretty cool seeing different stores from different states.

Gamers Anonymous and Noble kept me going through college, love those guys
I didn’t know about that store in las lunes. I’ll have to stop there next time I’m on my way to Belen.

I subbed as soon as I saw your video for New Mexico. I love going to Gamers Anonymous. Keep up the great work!

@ yeah. I’m the guy with the cardigan and my friend had the persona jacket😊

The green Xbox one 1 was for a battlefield 1 bundle. Up here in Canada. I don't know about down in the US

LOL, your hatred for Hand Egg knows no bounds! If you're ever in Denver hit me up brother
We can celebrate to the fall of handegg, you'd be out of a job, but then you could do something cool!
We used to have so many more game stores but they all clothes shopping and move their stores online😢
Have you been to Fairgame in Sacramento, Ca? RetroReplay Carson city, NV or Cap n' Games Reno NV?
Possibly Fairgame.
Nice vid
I saw the thumbnail say “game hunting” and assumed it was actually hunting wild game. Like deer and stuff like that with a rifle. lol.
Yeah, a lot of people have said that about these videos. I find that funny.
I wish I had even a decent game store near me, but the best I have access to is Walmart. There used to be a game stop, but they went out of business (good riddance). I have to be a strictly Ebay guy these days.
There's plenty of Atari ET copies down there somewhere 😂
No birthday or Christmas live streams this year 😢
Yeah, just didn't work out.
@ I know they’re not great for the channel either. Hope everything is good with you. Belated happy birthday and merry Christmas!
Adam can you make video about two a best pc games . first - OUTCAST . second - Drakan order of the flame . Those are best pc games in history.
I don't play PC games, I wouldn't be a good fit.
@@AdamKoralik thank you for replay. And thank for all your videos i enjoyed very much .
Do you own a full genesis/megadrive set?
Ha, no.
Don’t say I’ll never fit into that shirt all it takes is dedication to loose weight and time
Exactly why it won't fit.
In New Mexico? We don't have shit here
The video doesn't entirely agree.

It would look great and then be disappointing.

Every city has bad neighborhoods.
