New Hampshire resident here! What's funny is that I was literally at those stores not too long ago. Great store and great people. There's a lot more out there too!
Nice to see a few of my local spots getting showcased. Been doing business with core gaming for years, Matt is a great guy. Greg at gorilla is a good dude as well. Both give extremely fair trade credit
Dang these are great stores, I LOVE Bullmoose with a passion! If you're ever back in the New Hampshire area, try out Merrimack Comics! That's usually my go to spot when I come up from MA
Love the Philips CDi……so glad Chris Brown changed the battery in the chip in mine and installed the battery holder. Took some convincing to get him to do it. :)
That twisted metal worth a lot its actually the jewel case variant that worth money and was when sony faseout the long box game and for a really short period of time where rerelease with small black label case and a lot of them where discountinued close after or where rerelease when greatest hits have started .I know Mortal Kombat 3 small jewel case variant worth like a 1000$ plus !!!
Hey, man. I remember watching your Bad Movie Theater series as Dr. Paul Charno. I have some really good memories seeing your reviews and I hope that you'll bring the series back someday.
we just got done hitting up one of our local game shops so this was pretty good timing! I mean personally I wouldn't be against buying a reproduction say of something that's originally in Japanese but they applied an english translation to it? like that's how I have Saturn Policenauts. or some kinda release that had region lock say on the Genesis? so that much I kinda get.
Just wanna let everyone know, Core Gaming in Salem is not a great place to shop. The prices are pretty high, the trade in value from my experience is low, and they refuse to do any discounts. Im not saying getting a $20 for $10. I had about $250 worth of stuff, and asked if they’d do it all for $200 and was met with a blank stare. Didn’t even budge from $250. So I put everything except 1 item back and spent $20. The guy who owns it is pretty nice, but everyone else in there is not great Edit: Bullmoose is a great chain for physical media in Maine and NH. Don’t expect anything amazing tho game wise
@@borrellipatrick People pick on them for their prices and their trade offers, to which I say: It’s impossible to find a place with good prices, and also they’re running a brick and mortar business.

If only you could have seen Core Gaming back when it was one big location with a crazy amount of variety and selection. They spread themselves too thin after opening in Nashua and downsizing in Salem. All of these stores tend to be overpriced, they sort of have to be. But I can look the other way once in a while when it's a cool experience. Core Gaming just doesn't have that anymore, but I have good memories from the old days of visiting. Pretty surreal to see you in the same plaza where I do my grocery shopping though. Hope you had fun!
@AdamKoralik Loved you hit bullmoose right afterwards 😎 I usually try to buy new games from them 1st before Amazon. They have a neat rewards program and get enough points for a couple half priced games a year 💵
Welcome to NH. Don't drink and drive but make sure to stop at the interstate 93 rest area to get your cheap alcohol! If you're not going to pay sales tax you might as well buy some alcohol the fund our state for us (our liquor stores are state owned and run). Lol
Really awesome video. I feel like you could make a separate channel JUST going around exploring different cities game stores and you'd get 100k+ subscribers in no time!
@AdamKoralik your welcome please do come again its always nice to see the positive reviews they actually just got a bunch of new retro consoles and more plus and are have a black Friday sale going on this Friday
@ no thanks, not everyone has a discord. I just find it odd that you would refuse to put it in the description or something. Best of luck with the channel!
Fun fact: The Taco Bell Xbox replaces the normal chime you when power on the console with the iconic "gong" bell sound effect from Taco Bell ads. Worth it for that alone tbh.
Core Gaming scams customers with printed artwork for the game cases. They still sell those games over market value. They think you're stupid enough to not realize it. I called them out on it one time when i spotted a Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the Gamecube that was priced for $69.99. Asked why they charging so much when the artwork for case was fake and the had the biggest attitude over it. Stopped going there after that. Pretty shady if you ask me.

Our retro stores suck. They are overpriced on selling and really lowballing you on buying. I went to a few stores with close to 10k worth of games, and I checked my prices the same way they do and got offers like 700 to 900. That included games like Haunting Grounds Rule of Rose and Enemy Zero Shadow Hearts in a collection of 400-plus games.

It is funny how this only applies to THIS video. I title this the same thing for different states, cities, and countries, and this confusion never happens. But in this case, you're not even close to the first person to think it's about hunting. Maybe that says something about the expectation of New Hampshire?
@AdamKoralik yeah probably the NH title (I am in NH as well) maybe I just assuming hunting is bigger than retro game stuff and assume it's hunting but idk LOL either way good video glad I clicked
Hey Adam! I’ve been following you for about a decade now! It was so surreal seeing you visit my state’s gaming stores. If you’re in this area again, I’d love the chance to meet you and maybe see the Pluto in person! I’m decent friends with the employees of Core Gaming, but I visit all of the shops you visited, frequently. Thanks for giving our little state some attention!
I also wanted to mention that you missed some of the best stores in our state. An additional 30 minute drive west would take you to Nashua and Manchester, NH, our two biggest cities. LevelUpGaming is great if you’re looking in Manchester, and Bazaar Game Trading and Core Gaming’s second location are great options in Nashua. They’re worth the drive if you’re ever back up this way! 😊
@@AdamKoralik Definitely check them out when you have the chance! I’d love for you to sign my copy of Shenmue! Cool & weird (in a good way) to see you in my back yard. Core Gaming is the place I go to. The employees & owners are really nice people. Little fact this is their second store. Their original store was a little further down the road but the city had the whole plaza it was in torn down. It was maybe half the size of the store you were in but I've been going to them since they were in that original location. They have a decent store credit system. One year just buying PS3 & Super Famicom games for like $5-$10 a game I earned enough store credit to get a Sega Saturn for free. Did the same thing this year only it was a Sega 32X this time. That's the secret. Things can be pricey but if you are patient & get cool cheaper games later on you can get really cool stuff.

I live in Massachusetts and I've visited every retro game store here and CT and RI but I've neglected NH. I'll have to rectify that, looks like they have some cool stores.
This isn't even all of them. There's a second Core Gaming store in Nashua and there's a store called 8 Bit Gaming in Derry as well. Pretty sure there's a retro game store in Goffstown too but I've never been so I don't know it's name.
