i never understand y reviewers say "steering is PREDICTABLE" if you are driving a car, you don't want your steering to be UNPREDICTABLE. LOL. that's y i never put much attention to these so called experts. best way is to test drive the car yourelf. first time i have owned a kia. i have to admit i am impressed. my kia forte SX almost 4 yrs now and still drives like a brand new. not a single mechanical problem.

Odd that the rear seats in the Euro spec Soul do not fold into the floor, there is a huge step from the bottom of the seat back to the floor.The American spec Soul does not. For once an American spec car gets the one up on it's European bound brothers. The Diesel would be nice to have though.

Lol I live in Florida and just got a soul we have really pretty great roads save dirt and gravel which are bad everywhere. But I grew up in NY and while I can't compare to England ice and snow ruin roads for sure.

terrible review.i have not driven the soul but i have gone into a showroom and sat in one.it is absolutly amazing.loads of room and loads of kit.it is bigger then you acualy think.the room at the back is loads.and one thing the what car reviwer has not siad is that you get 7 years warrenty with this car.i bet its a bit more reliable then any european equivalents.lets not start me on french cars,just look at their history.if i had a choice of the captur or the soul,i would go for the soul all the time.

jerro19711971 I have a 2014 vauxhall insigna 2.0cdti at the moment, i have traded it in for the kia soul connect plus brand new in two tone white & black, the 1.6crdi model, i never even thought about kia's before, i saw a kia soul on the road & it caught my eye, i went to a showroom & took it for test drive, the salesman said take the car out on you own i know you will be surprised by it, i took 30mins driving it, from the get go i was amazed how quiet the engine was compared to my insignia, the acceleration is more rapid than my insignia & the insignia is 140bhp, when i put foot down in the kia i felt the g force, not saying its superfast but it does accelerate nicely, the steering is so light & easy to drive, the build quality, the centre console with 8inch screen, the spacious feel inside the cockpit, it all blew me away & i ordered one the same day, i pick it up august 11th & the insignia is gone, i never EVER thought i would drive a Kia...But i am the first to eat my words, I cant wait to pick it up now as suddenly my insignia feels heavy, slow & cumbersome in comparison to the kia, just take one for a test drive soon im sure u will be as amazed as i was
