I really love how this turned out, you wouldn’t think it was done in only ten minutes by looking at it 😄 I really agree that you have to prioritize creating and that ten minutes a day is better than nothing. It’s easy to think that you have to set aside hours to be creative, but only ten-fifteen minutes a day can make such a difference. I try to do something everyday even if it’s only for some minutes and then spend hours on days where I have the time. It has done wonders for my art and my mental health too. I feel so much happier on the days I am creative and I have seen so much improvement in my art after I started setting aside time, even for just some minutes a day 😊

Thank you so much! 10 minutes doesn't ever sound like much but I'm always surprised by how much can be created! Yes absolutely that! Just a short time can actually make such a different to our creative practice because it all adds up 😊 That's so lovely to hear that it's also made a difference to your mental health - sometimes it can be hard to prioritise creativity but the results of doing so help us in so many ways 🥰

Another fab video Katie. I' been setting aside 10 minutes a day minimum to be creative. In November I used those 10 minutes to focus on practicing with a specific type of pen, and really enjoyed it, so for December, I've challenged myself to only use Tombow pens for those 10 minute drawings. So far so good, but only after seeing you use Tombows! 😎

Thank you so much - I love that!! It can be all we need sometimes, and it's something I've been thinking of doing too because some days I don't create and boy can I tell! What a good idea to focus on specific materials per month too, that's such a good way to practice with them! 😄

@@KatieMoody I definitely notice a difference in my mood and wellbeing depending on whether I have or haven't made time for art. And yes, I also notice a difference in ability when practicing for the whole month! :)

I just joined your Patreon, really loved the farm life inspiration. I teach chemistry full time and Art takes a back seat. I’ve been getting up earlier and doing a few watercolor sketches that I can add to when I have more time. Love the idea of drawing panels!

Aah thank you so much Emily, that is so wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for joining 🥰 And that's such a great way to find a little bit of time to be creative. I find panels so good for breaking up the page!

I loved watching this so much! You managed a lot in 10 minutes. I really like the painting and I love the blue pencil on that snail. I can’t paint at all but looking at the big green leaf - I think maybe I could probably paint that 😄 I’d love to see some more videos like this xxx

Oh thank you so much Emma, I'll definitely do more! I really liked how the snail turned out too 😃 Haha it would be a wonderful green leaf, no doubt! 🍃🧡 xxx

Thank you so much for watching Minouk! It can be really tricky, and then when we do have longer periods to create we put so much extra pressure on ourselves 🙈

I think 10 minutes goes slower for you than it does for me 😂

😂 You'll soon be able to do a full masterpiece in 10 minutes with all your practice Emma, I know it!
