  • In this video I share my past experience with some great food prepping ideas. This has worked (especially with staying in my daily points on weight watchers!). But also, I want to get back into planning again...let's do this together!!

    I have a lot of frozen vegetables, fish and some fruits at home, so this makes it a lot easier, even you don't have prepped a lot.

    Hi Hannah, your video on food prepping is great! And I like your candor, as I get somewhat anxious about prepping my WW food. I’m a guy and I don’t like to cook or food prep. I think this may have to do with how I think about my self worth? I never thought about some of those things until I watched your videos. I have to stop myself and say, “ Robert, since you’re counting points the least you could do is spend a little more time in the kitchen cooking to make good tasting food and start doing some more prepping.” The only thing I’ve ever prepped are my lunches and they are always the same ol’ turkey wrap. I’m thinking that our ability to stay on track with WW and so to succeed, it linked to taking time to cook, tracking, food prepping, and water consumption. I’ll start doing more meal prep. Thanks for being so calm, it makes me feel like it’s all going to be okay. I hope you and your family have a great weekend! You have a great mate to go shopping for the family that way. He’s a very special guy! ❤️

      @@hannahlynne5522 I used to plan all our meals for a couple weeks at a time but got out of the practice when most of our kids left home. This morning I planned 8 weeks of dinners and the grocery lists for each. I feel so accomplished

    My hubby has always worked 2nd shift and as of today he will be working 1st shift … now I’m cringing abt what’s for dinner question! I would always make something quick and easy for me and my girls but now for dinner I think it’s going to be different. Thanks for this I have to plan like this bulk cook

      Yes, that is definitely going to change your nightly routine! Hope everything goes well with the meal plans.
      In the winters & during the school year, I bulk cook on Sundays. If you love Tacos as much as we do in this house, when we buy our meat (its about 6 lbs) I will cook it all at once and freeze what we don't have that week for dinner. So when we decide last minute we want tacos, taco salad or nachos...the meat is already cooked and just need to thaw it. ~Hannah

    What saved me was stocking my freezer with individual servings of my prepared food. After you work all day at any job...convenience food is what you need which is why it was easier to hit up a drive thru...or order in. Now if I'm making tacos I make 2 pounds of taco meat and put in freezer bags for individuals servings, or when I make meat loaf...i slice it in 8 servings and again throw in freezer...do this with a roast, chicken, whatever your cooking. Cook once...eat many times! I do this with sides as well. Roast a punch of veggies...divide into servings, roasted potatoes, and love instant mashed potatoes and rice packets! Then when I pack my lunch for school each day I just grab and go...and when I get home I have tons of variety. Best part...i may feel like chicken with roasted veggies and my husband may want meat loaf with mashed potatoes and applesauce...just heat and eat! Today is Taco Tuesday....so I will defrost and heat up the taco beef....chop up some ice burg lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, shredded cheddar, etc., and make some Ben's instant Spanish rice!

      Reading your comment makes me hungry Amy! Yes, we cook in bulk similarly to this now. Grab and go works best! These are some really good tips and ideas on what to eat! Now I want tacos! 💕 ~Hannah

      It's Tuesday!!! I always cook more to freeze...but I usually don't select a day to do it (unless the freezer is bare😂) but when I cook...which is pretty much 4/5 days a week...I make my freezer meals! School is 21/2 weeks away for me😳 I work 6:45 - 3:00. I live 15 minutes away which also helps😜...i walk the campus for 45/60 minutes then get home around 4:20. Once I get home I hate to come out...so if I don't walk then...i probably won't. And bonus...It is also a destress er!!!

      @@amyvongeis1410 I feel the SAME about getting out and exercising before home. One I get home, coffee is calling my name and I always give in and don't get back outside. School is 2.5 weeks away!😳

      @@hannahlynne5522 yes😒...well, a little over that. Training start 8/18, and then first day of school this year is 8/24. We will have no hybrid classes so it should look like it did before Covid...here's hoping🤞🤞🤞

      Hi Kelly! Yes that is difficult when others in the home are not having it... When we plan for dinners, my daughter will have a say in a few meals. I will show the grocery haul! It may not be for at least 3 weeks (he just did a haul last week). ☺
