    Awesome videos, really appreciate it. Do keep doing them nice gospel progressions and maybe licks once in a while in C major, makes it easy to build on it for other keys.

      Might I add that since the sole goal of learning chords is to apply them to songs. Would you mind applying the taught progression to a known gospel song at the end of the video, it'd go a long way to show us how to use them progressions or chords. Thanks once again. #Newsubscriber

      @@thekmtcpro Here in Brazil tritone is explained in a different way because the type of music that we have. But your explanation show us an ease way of how to apply. thanks!! Obs.. forgive my grammar errors, I'm learning English on my own.

      @@reynaldoferreira7041 you are doing an excellent job speaking/writing English! There is more theory to using tritones, but this is just a shortcut.

      Hello. I can! I think once I get 10 of these quick tips up, I will start to go back and do them in other keys. The reason they are done in C is to help make it easier for people to figure it out in the other 11 keys.

    Thanks for pointing out the slide into it… that’s important! What passing chords (I do traditional PC & diminished chords to) get to the 5? Video on that? I’m pretty good with slow to medium tempo songs. I’m very good with my bass/LH on fast songs (bass guitar is my primary instrument), but I can’t seem to break out/away from what I do with my RH. It’s basic, & boring. I learned it when I was 8 and when I began playing piano that’s all I do for a shout. I really need to challenge myself.
    I’ve been playing piano since my pianist moved over a year ago. I pastor, and occasionally preach out and so I like to play for myself because I’m a worship leader too and most pianist don’t know what I’m doing when I’m singing. I will have to say, I went out last Saturday and the musicians were very well capable of following me. They were good. But not all are. Bless their hearts.

      Oooh that is a good topic...passing chords to get to the 5. Technically, you can use any type of chord to take you there as long as the melody is respected. I will definitely start a series on passing chords soon.

    • @thekmtcpro
      @thekmtcpro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is pretty neat that you are experienced in leading worship, playing multiple instruments, and preaching as well. That is awesome. I am honored to be a small part of what you are doing by teaching/sharing what I know!

      Last year was rough for a lot of churches…I’m just glad I had experience at leading worship & playing because it definitely needed! And I’m enjoying going back to my roots: leading/playing.
      I’ll be on the lookout for passing chord (more) videos!! And thanks for what you do…I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if you weren’t sharing!
      You’re greatly appreciated!
