Corey- Couple layers of cardboard and mulch! No more weeding!!! Love your planting line, looks like you had a few beers before you planted them.. they look like mine. I try so hard to plant the straight. My husband just shakes his head when he walks out in my veggie garden. No time for a string.. every thing is looking good in your garden!
Last year I used five layers of newspaper sprayed with water (kept it in place) before topping with about 2” of mulch. Didn’t get weeds all season and just a few showed up this spring. This year I’m repeating that in a new bed, plus pulling back the mulch in areas where I hadn’t used newspaper (weedy) and adding some.
What a simple, yet genius idea. I need a rehab bed, and a grow bigger bed. Any suggestions for pot size for 1st year echinacea to pot up until next late fall or next early spring??
I started pink clary Sage from seed last spring. They bloomed both pink and purple. I loved the colors mixed together spontaneously. They reseeded and I have them blooming now. SE Michigan zone 6a.
“ It’s a jumper”😂. We live in a small town and there’s a huge pile of wood chips from trees that have been chipped. We go out and get whatever we need and it’s free….just a bit of sweat equity! 🇨🇦🌸🇨🇦
I have a Quick Fire Fab and I’ve never seen another channel have one until today! I’m curious to see how yours does…I’m in Texas zone 8 and mine blooms great then scorches, but I have it under shade cloth this year 🤞
They do great here in Michigan, but that Texas heat is something else! After growing Quick Fire Fab and Limelight Prime, I would never go back to the original Limelight -- both bloom so much earlier (which is a big deal for us with a short growing seasons). I hope you get to enjoy your Quick Fire Fab this year!
Hi Corey, love the garden weezle I do hugulkulture in all my gardens and bearms, and cedar mulch because I don't have to replace it for many yrs.looks great beautiful colors too!

Just bump it up one size… 4” to 5” to 6” etc or something close.
If it grows loads, you can pot it up again in August 😊
Thanks for keeping it real!

Corey, we love soybean hulls mulch. Putting cardboard down first really does help too. Also, I love our hula hoe style hoe.
The weasel works better in loose soil such as the garden. Your best bet for that bed with all the grass roots would be a stirrup hoe.
Dam!! Subsribers a climbing! Congrats!

We use pine bark mulch. 3-4 inches thick. Works great and don’t have to add every year.
My favourite mulch is flax straw.
I have one string theory I planted last year. It grew so big but still no blooms. I can't wait for that.
Love your videos so so much 🎉
Does lisianthus come back? Or do you have to plant it yearly?
It’s an annual… so we planted it out every year.
Rocks
If this row was mine I’d use preen. Then brown wood mulch
Same!
