They have laundry spots All over you can get some coins and dry your clothes you don't have to air dry but you'll have to take them somewhere to dry them but it won't be far

Dryers are viewed as an exorbitant luxury (both in the cost of the machine itself and electricity cost to run it). Even families who can more than afford one and have the space in their apartment/house will frequently not have one. And even when their apartment does have one, many Thais will still air dry and only use the dryer for "emergencies". In addition to cost, there is also belief that dryers are "unnatural" and not as clean or good for clothes as air drying. That being said, you can go to any major appliance store in Thailand and buy a dryer. And some high end apartments do have them. But normal apartments/condos tend not to have them. Communal washers are usually somewhere on the premises plus every block or two in Thailand there is a coin operated wash business. A high end coin wash machine will charge 40-60 baht for wash (depending on if you want cold, warm, or hot water rinse).

And the visa process is very difficult if you don’t have $ 45 Grand in the Bank. That’s why I decided on Thailand 🇹🇭 first and if that don’t work out then the Philippines 🇵🇭 will be my second choice.

$200 is doable if you get one year contract. The longer you stay the cheaper it gets.
