I agree with what your saying. This new bike shows that Harley is definitely going in the right direction. As long as the price is competitive that is.
It’s an exciting departure for Harley isn’t it? I think people are finally ready for a new phase of bikes with tech from Harley. There will always be the air cooled models as well. It’ll be a great bike to own for sure!
Harley is defo on the right track to bring out the smaller displacement engine bikes like the the Custom 1250. This will attract new riders to the Harley brand. And maybe when they will want to upgrade, to a bigger bike in the future like the Softtails to get that real Harley Davidson feeling. 🤘
I was thinking it is going to be 95 HP stock so it can be fitted with an A2 restrict or plate in Europe. And I think it will have some type of upgrade path which will be able boost the Horsepower. Not sure how you do that with a liquid cooled bike. Maybe it will be purely electronic.
That’s interesting, these emissions restrictions really do hamstring the bikes don’t they? Very keen to see what the workaround would be, because Harley would really need it to match or even exceed what Indians liquid cooled engines can do 👍👍
@@MudpieCaviar it’s really not an emissions thing. Europe has a tiered licensing system. If this bike is going to replace the sportster and be the entry level Harley, then it would make sense that the HP would meet the European entry level standard. That’s just my theory anyways. Could be wrong.
Got it, that makes sense. In Australia we have the LAM (learner approved motorcycles) and even the sportster was considered too powerful for new riders. So this new one will be definitely overpowered😂
It’s definitely a powerful bike isn’t it! Look forward to seeing what people think of it. It very pricey too, so it’s certainly not a first bike for most people😅

I’m so ready for the release because this is the first new motorcycle I’ve actually considered buying

Just a constructive criticism. The music and the growl of your pipes is drowning your voice.
