"I was playing tennis one day and I hit the ball so hard and it landed up on Mt Rushmore, yeah now it's a wart on Lincoln' face", "That's ridiculous" "And yet it happened"
I watch some of these sketches, from the era of this great cast, and always wonder how it changed on this show that these people never made it look like they were reading cue cards. Even Willie Nelson!
You mean, flew in on the giraffe? How was the traffic up there? When my wife and roadie Margot Robbie flew in the last time, there were a lot of elephants zooming about, congesting the traffic. Sorry, I have to scuttle, my chauffeur Zlatan Ibrahimović arrived and taking me to see the Clintons. Some people have mysteriously disappeared this morning and I was playing strip poker with them since last night.
I like everything I have seen of his so far. Just an authentic man who gives it his all with his art. I liked how when he was in debt to the irs, he made an album to help him climb out of it, by transparently calling it the IRS tapes or something like it
Willie's movie was filmed at his ranch in Austin. They left the set up and have maintained it all these years. He has a big all-day concert every spring around it.
This is from the 86-87 year I believe. Loren Michaels had just come back to the show and fired almost everyone. It was a different time. SNL was just starting to rebuild, 80s greed and sleeze was fully ingrained in society. Also people had more expectations of story of any kind including ketches having a beginning, middle and end. If you think this is strange go check out the SNL years with Gilbert Godfred, Robert Downey Jr and Anthony Michael Hall. That's some surreal shtuff there
@@Rickydiculus I just randomly had this Howard Stern interview pop up in my feed, where Lovitz actually explained how he came up with the idea for this sketch.
I can't imagine anybody being attracted to that man. However everybody is entitled to their own likes and dislikes. Many times traveling with my wife we would see a couple that would be pathetic beyond belief and we would look at each other and say "there is someone for everyone"
No.....yeah.....that's Morgan Fairchild, his wife, pretending she doesn't have the hots for him. It's a little game they play; spices up their sex life.....yeah...that's the ticket.
“I’m about to play a bar mitzvah for the McSchwartz’s” 🤣
Ohhh! That's funny. Didn't catch it the first time.
Charming. Endearing. Thank you for sharing this gem.
Someone forgot to tell George Santos that Jon Lovitz was a thespian and these weren't mini-documentaries.

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
😂
He wasn't a thespian.
He was a MASTER THESPIAN!!!
Underrated comment 😂😂😂
The Church Chat joke was great, Willie got a laugh out of, he had a real grin. Jon Lovitz was so funny in these skits
Willie Nelson is even nice to the fake lying guy 😂
I'm sure Willie has dealt with plenty of liars in the music business 😄
I didn't see Donald Trump in this sketch.
Willie Nelson is a natural!
"I was playing tennis one day and I hit the ball so hard and it landed up on Mt Rushmore, yeah now it's a wart on Lincoln' face", "That's ridiculous" "And yet it happened"
Biden
@@volsdeep 2027: The year me and my USD take one last POOP in the USA and retire overseas. You can have this NO-CULTURE USA thing.
George Santos was born to have Jon Lovitz play him.
You think santos is funny? He's pathetic, reminds me of every democrat. Lovitz had style and timing, yeah that's it!
Yeah... yeah... that's the ticket.
I watch some of these sketches, from the era of this great cast, and always wonder how it changed on this show that these people never made it look like they were reading cue cards. Even Willie Nelson!
This particular sketch feels beyond sketch comedy and more like a play. I swear Jon Lovitz almost never needed the cue cards his entire tenure
Shut up
High word count low comedy count.
Phil was a graphic artist. He designed the CSN logo for band, and a few other familiar logos.
For America's Greatest Hits album too.
Willie epitomizes cool
I love the McSchwartz's, I just was at Elroys barmitzfa. Yeah brought my wife Paris Hilton, yeah that's the ticket. We brought her giraffe.

Sounds like the ole Clints are at it again...😊
A rabbi in Ireland for the McSchwartz's bar mitzvah. That should be a sketch itself.
George Santos had a grandfather!
I cant believe this is the 80s, and willie nelson is still alive in 2020.
He WHAT?!
I like everything I have seen of his so far. Just an authentic man who gives it his all with his art. I liked how when he was in debt to the irs, he made an album to help him climb out of it, by transparently calling it the IRS tapes or something like it
What? How old are you? 😂
Still alive even in 2023.
Yep 90 something and still doing concerts lol
Willie is in his mid 50s in the clip. He is now 88.
Almost 91 now.
Cant get any better than jon
💯
Yeah that's the ticket
❤ he ordered a Lone Star
The McSchwarzs in Ireland. I knew them. They were my neighbors.
I really used to love that show...
Willie's movie was filmed at his ranch in Austin. They left the set up and have maintained it all these years. He has a big all-day concert every spring around it.
solid sketch!
This is the weirdest SNL sketch I've ever seen. It feels like a scene from a movie.
you mist be very young, snl ised to be hilarious, thoughful and groundbreaking...the opposite of the pablum on now

I miss Phil Hartman.
I've know a few McSchwartz's, fine people.
At first, I thought that was Victoria Jackson sitting behind Lovitz.
🏆Wow Willie Nelson 👀 that was great 🍀comedy 😎✌️
McSchwartzes LOL
Yeah yeah that's the ticket. So funny.
Is this a young Joe Biden. Yeah, yeah!
Hopefully Lovitz plays George Santos in the movie! Yeah that's the ticket!!!
Always dug Lovitz liar character. it's a form of the Walter Mitty character of living outside his mundane life.
The girl behind Jon must have put away a pound of peanuts during the skit. She looks like Eric’s sister from the 70s Show
sitting behind john lovitz ,, the blonde girl is that the same skinny blonde from "that 70's show" lori erics brother
No, that was Lonnie Ander....Cheryl Tie....no, it was Morgan Fairchild, incognito, checking up on her husband. Yeah, that's who it was.
I always had a very bad crush on Jon lovitz 30+years couldn't remember his name all the time it would fustrate me all to hell.
Really mom?
Leave my phone alone please do not leave any type of negative coments Yours truly tjccbrtr

A Mar a Lago resident says Jon's an amateur.
Is this the only Liar sketch which includes Phil Hartman?
Yeah... In fact this skit never aired, so it's a rare find. That's the ticket.
Like Biden at a bar
Gotta love the Cult. They actually believe that Trump is a truth-teller, despite the thousands of lies he's told.
This is when SNL was great 👍
You were never great.

Anyone else think the background girl looks a lot like Wendi McLendon-Covey? It isn't her, I don't think, but she is close.
No.....yeah.....that's Morgan Fairchild, his wife, pretending she doesn't have the hots for him.

Willie very serious guy 😢on road again joke makes himself angry 😡 and as something against Ireland never came over to sing

"au revior, y'all"
When SNL was funny
Lovitz is great, scores really hot chicks too.
Yeahhh, I'm sure he does. Yeah, that's the ticket!
wow, this show used to be funny
The hypocrite Willie Nelson.
This theme went on way too long
So it's a guy that lies for no reason? I don't get 80s humor..
This must be where trump stole his act
We need to bring back the greats because comedy has died from all the narcissists who take everything as a personal insult. 😂
Americans have forgotten how to laugh. Everything's so poitical now.
Yeah the GQP even made a life saving vaccine into their own political weapon.
IKR, fukkn woke joke, gender bender fender bent in the back mofos
Just preparing for the accidental seeing or hearing of trump. Tommy got nothing on him!
Today, he would fit in the republican party like a glove.
Right...because only they lie 🤥
Trump brought me here😂
Yikes. Ripping Santos a new asshole IN RECORD TIME...deservedly.
Jon Lovitz and Phil Hartman were the best Characters on that show.
The pathological liar is a character based on William de los Santos.
Yeah that’s the ticket
Hanging out with Joe Biden
