Am so glad to see this. I was concerned about you getting adequate pain control after surgery because the opioid epidemic has sadly resulted in some patients not being given adequate post surgical pain relief. Pelvic exenteration is a huge, scary surgery to undergo but anyone who needs to get it who watches this video will doubtless be reassured. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks. Yeah, I was wondering what kind of pain reliever i would get after surgery. It was very nice to have the pump and I'm glad I didn't need it for long. 💜

Hi Jenny, so sorry I have been MIA but have had a lot going on here with my husband. It seems like all we do is go back-and-forth to doctor’s appointment. My daughter and son-in-law had Covid for Christmas so it’s been a little crazy over here. But even though I haven’t commented a lot lately I want you to know that I think about you a lot. Been coming to see how you are doing. I had my liver resection on the 4th of Dec, should have been out in 5 days but I was getting sick and surgeon had me back in for bowel adhesions so I ended up a total of 2 weeks in hospital (NG, TPN etc.) Wound vac was used the second time, pretty cool! First two weeks home were definitely the hardest.
I'm sorry you had to be in the hospital for so long. I hope you are all good now and heal completely and quickly. And, yes, these first few weeks are a challenge. One day at a time! 💜🙏
Oh my goodness! That's rough! Hopefully you at least had some IV fluids. I know that's helped me when I've started having hunger pains before surgery. 💜
That was certainly good news that they used the same colostomy hole. Look how much you've healed since your surgery. Many prayers for you Jenny !

I am happy to say I did not have any fluid build up in my lungs. ☺
I just found your channel as this video randomly popped up on my feed may I know what youre suffering from?
I had a cancerous tumor in my rectum and had had chemo and radiation treatments. Last step was to cut it out so that's what this surgery was about. 💜
