I like the way I did it here works great for the small tubs. I do a 1 part spawn to 2 parts substrate. So 1 650g coir brick and 8 cups vermiculite I can do 5 tubs. When it comes to yield that's where genetics come to play.
"One cup casting layer" is the only ingredient you mention. What's the spawn & substrate amount?
Do you think dub tub is better than mono tub for shoebox? I'm scared my shrooms are going to hit the roof and not fruit as well as they could

how often do you fan/mist? and what do you do when its time for fruiting conditions ?
I have a fruiting tent that I just take lid off and let it go
