What about FAE and misting? Great video.
According to another TH-camr (well respected re: his mushroom content) the shoebox is by design adequately ventilated and if your substrate initially has the proper moisture content, misting is not needed. Seems all you need to do is leave the latches unsecured so the mushrooms can later push the lid off. Apologies to Breakthrough Mushroom Growing if I'm out of line but the channel I'm referring to is Mycophilia.
I also watch Sage he’s the best I’m doing my first three shoe box’s today i purchased my sub a few months ago so I’m gonna be doing some misting and some some diper tek in a Martha but it’s probably not necessary

I think he was trying to say that tek stands for technique and they are called shoe boxes because they are designed to store shoes lol 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I am new and got 2 shoe boxes. hehehe. Straight from Uncle bens to Shoe box i think is how i will do this. Small heating pad coming cause it is kind of cold in here. Awesome video. Exactly why i went with shoe box. I don't live in a Freaking warehouse lol ahhahaha I can stash shoe boxes every where LOL
Exactly!! Not only are they easier to store (and hide), but you get to harvest more mushrooms per square foot, and you get more protection against contamination!
If you are new I recommend doing more than 2 shoe boxes to maximize your chances of a successful harvest!

Ik you probably won’t see this. But I haven’t done dub tubs in forever. Mind sharing how much water you use for a brick and what weight that brick is?

I multiply the weight of the dry coco coir brick by 5 to get the right amount of water. Make sure you weigh each brick, they vary in weight.
