    Holland reminds me of Cam Whitmore with a lot better hustle but no jumpshot. I think his athleticism and hustle means he wont be a total bust but if he cant develop at least a mid range J his ceiling will just be a role player.

    I want to see him with Portland, forming a trio with Scoot, and Sharpe!

    He’s still so young. The decision making is going to be rough, and the shooting needs a ton of work. But if either of those 2 hit for him, he’ll be good. The build, athleticism, and defense is there!

    I agree with your assessment at the end. I can be talked out of having him top 3-5, but after that, I really think we're going to look back and wonder wtf NBA teams were thinking taking others over him. At worst he's a high-impact defender who can slash a bit off the bench. But I think he can be a very good team's best POA defender and third option if he puts it all together. His fit does matter a lot, but I think the best place for him to land out of realistic scenarios would be Charlotte. He would compliment a healthy LaMelo and Miller very well IMO.

    he'd be a phenomenal fit on the Spurs, the way they teach the game and polish out raw, defensive prospects like Dejounte Murray and Kawhi bodes well if they get their hands on him at pick 4 or 8.

    San Antonio should know a thing or two about drafting a high energy wing with a developing jump shot. Seems perfect for their system

    • @colin1818
      @colin1818 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "Perfect" for their system would be a guy that actually had a jump shot now.
      That said, he might be a good project for them. Especially considering they have two picks in the top 8 and could easily pair him with another rookie that covers the skills he lacks.

    Heard others say the stocks are inflated from more gambling/high-risk behavior on defense, did you see that in the film? What's his outlook as an off-ball player at the next level? Please do Matas Buzelis next. Cheers!

      Definitely some gambling, but that’s true for lots of players - I think he can lock in well enough defensively overall.
      Off-ball isn’t going to be pretty for awhile, but I really think his shooting will come around somewhat. Will be a good slasher and transition threat.

    He is very quick and tall when compared to the Ky kids who are terrific. He can be a decent shooter and defender in a mediocre draft. The trouble with perennial lottery teams is they don’t want to look bad in taking a high picks.

    • @charlescohen6140
      @charlescohen6140 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Terrible grammar. I meant they don’t want to look bad if the gamble doesn’t work out. Think MJP Jr and Cam Whitmore. If Clingan can shoot outside as his recent video shows he could be the steal. Picture him next to Chet with Chet roaming around. Sam will do right.

    A wide open draft set up for patient lower teams or the Rockets and, of course, Sam Presti. Sam might be looking ahead to 2025 by bundling his picks.

    Why is he not as high as as Stephon Castle? Is it because offensively he’s a scorer but not a 3 point threat or ball handler?

      The championship run, especially with UConn helps Castle. Castle played with several older NBA level players.

    I don't think anyone touches him in the top 5 his shot needs a lot of work and his 3 ball is terrible add that he doesn't have great court vision and I think he probably 6 to 12 range. I do like his athleticism and he is a very good defender and you make a good point about his age but unfortunately I don't think his measurements are going to be that great for a SF I think he is 6'5 to 6'6

    As a Wolves fan, Holland looks like a dead ringer to Josh Minott, who we have stashed in G League. Exact same height and weight, and both extremely athletic. Even their g League stats are identical. Minott actually has been a better shooter, but Hollands form is much better.

    An OKC fan. It’s weird to consider that Ousmane Dieng at 6’10 and just 20 would go top 5 in this draft, and he is still not in the Thunder rotation. But next year he likely will be.
