    This is a great and honest review! I love the way you use video techniques to highlight features - the speakers, color accuracy, etc.

    Dude many thanks. Liked your review. Your are the only one that pointed the “issue” with the long signal detection time. Thanks

      I'm glad you found this review helpful. By not rushing to review every product on launch, I am able to thoroughly review the few products that I do end up reviewing.

    Nice review buddy, I've watched a couple reviews on this model so far and opinions are all over the place.

      Yeah it's not bad for now $800. Back when I bought it, it was $1,000.

    Thanks for the in-depth review from an actual daily user. Would you still recommend this monitor today? I am really surprised there are not more reviews and talk about it, seems to check all the boxes at it's current price point also seems like a winner. I think some of the complaints you had also have been remedied or figured out through adjusting some settings?

      I am still using this ViewSonic XG320U as my daily monitor. The fact that it takes like 30 seconds to wake up is quite annoying, but other than that, I've learned to live with the clunky OSD interface. It's definitely a great monitor overall and I still recommend it.

      @@RandomTechVideos Mine arrived yesterday, so far I like it, I also had issues with detecting signal (initial power on took a system reboot for it to sense Display Port) and after sleep or a GPU refresh it would loose it signal forcing me to restart pc. I updated the firmware and that issue seems to be completely gone. Signal is instantly recognize from sleep, restart etc. The OSD is cumbersome but I can deal with that. Brightness is fine, I have mine turned down to 30. Response time OD is useless IMO, introduces too much motion blur but standard seems to be just fine.

      @@dpgoverride Hmmm, I'll have to try a firmware update to see if that fixes the ridiculously long signal detection time. Personally, using that test UFO website, I found that I prefer the response time set to "fast", as anything more has too much motion blue.

    Man when I turned this video. I thought myself... what an idiot is this guy. But When I was watching further and further I had to change my opinion. At the end of your review I have to tell ... You absolutely nailed it. GREAT review, great presentation. I think I'm going to buy this monitor. Great work.

      When I edit my videos, I think, wow I'm annoying, but at least I know what I'm talking about. LOL

    It's 600 bucks as of today part of Prime Day Deals - do you recommend?

      I'd say it's definitely worth it for that price.

    Do you have any recommended settings for this? Everything seems to have a red tint even with bluelight filter off

    • @RandomTechVideos
      @RandomTechVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can try playing around with the RGB settings or use a different color profile.

    Very honest review, I have this monitor and i don't suffer from the delayed start or flickering. I find the 150hz refresh rate useless (144hz really all you need) and colour calibration poor.

    • @RandomTechVideos
      @RandomTechVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always have it set to 144Hz, never 150. As far as the color calibration, I didn't notice it at the time of the review, but there is no DCI-P3 color gamut setting. It looks great and vivid for gaming and watching colorful animated movies, but I do struggle when video editing to color grade correctly.

    Is this monitor perfect for just ps5 gaming? Does it have a fps counter too?

    • @RandomTechVideos
      @RandomTechVideos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe it should work for PS5. I don't believe it has a built-in fps counter.

    Thanks a lot for your honest review, I would like to know how good is G-SYNC going on there, because I'm considering that to pair it with my RTX 3090, could you help me giving some opinion on that?

    • @RandomTechVideos
      @RandomTechVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't use G-SYNC myself (due to the added latency, etc.) and don't have professional testing equipment, so I'm sorry but I can't give you a properly educated answer. When I did test G-SYNC briefly, it appeared to work.
