Thanks I needed those, kept doing long flights and running out of gas!!! Plugging a mouse into the Xbox has made the game waaay easier to handle the dashboard and menus, I keep the mouse on hand for that while flying with the Controller for now, may get a flight stick one of these days. I tried FS years ago, and just got bored with it, came back for 2024 and I can blow an entire day and not get bored, this is great stuff. 75" TV screen comes in real handy for this too.
I wanted to do the helicopter career, but it is so full of bugs and need to wait for ever for the instructor to tell something. And the controllers dont work in the missions for some strange reason. Great video BTW.
I've noticed on a lot of my 172 flights, the fuel selector is preset to Left and not Both. Lost a couple missions before I figured out why my engine stalled and I crashed, haha.
@@matthew.dehaven Yeah, had the same issue. What’s even worse when you fly with the DeHavilland DHC 2, the fuel is never enough to reach you destination. I used every fuel tank on the plane and still run out of fuel mid flight. Have not yet figured out how to put more fuel in the plane in advance. Increasing fuel on the EFB before flight makes no difference. Maybe bugged.
@scottmattern482 so you can fill it full with fuel and not be overweight. Beaver does burn much faster than Cessna 172. It burns 4 imperial gallons per 10 mins ( @11,000 ft lean of peak 2,000rpm ). So basically you get 50mins of fuel per tank.
For the sim rate... if u start the timer on ur EFB u can determine how fast ur going. X4 seem the best to use (for series X) after that it's gets very glitchy.
Hi. I have now ppl, cpl, and high endorsement aicrafts. For the next certificate like MEP, Turboprops or IFR I need a bunch of money. But within my missions I only have boring "first flight" missions, altough I already have the skydiving and ferry flight specialization. But none of these additional specializations are displayed in the missions, exept the "first flight"...how to enable that??? With just doing first flight mission which earns you about 900Cr., it will take ages to get the money fit the next certifications, and it will also get boring. Thanks
You need the do the starter mission for the type of flying you wish to start doing. An example, if you want to do Career, find the first cargo mission. Once completed it will unlock them on the map.

Yup, those are the ones. They will appear in select locations that the team decided would be the best area for the starter mission. After that, they will appear in random locations in areas you have unlocked.
i do exactly the same than you. Sim rate is a must to make money for longs missions but...1st it often breaks the ATC, and 2sd still not indicator to know the curent sim rate, hope they will corect this soon. The better way i founded is to open the tablet and start the time to see seconds rate...
Alt-N typically allows you to skip the time consuming portions of your flight. I notice it allows you to do the more flight control portions such as take off, on scene and landing. I skip the remove pitot tube cover and chock walk around and start up and taxi. Unless of course it's a beautiful location like the Alps. Then I taxi and view out the window. 😊 That said, I have certifications for search and rescue and medivac but when I select the missions they do not come up. I've seen this is a problem for many players. How does our base lacation and pilot location work?
How long/how many missions did you fly to get such a load of credits & 2 airplanes? Ive been flying missions since release date, wasting time on at least 1/3rd of all mission flights CTD on me, then paying shedloads for landing gear repair to my cub due to the turbulence on landing.
Way too many missions. I've sense have slowed down quite a bit with it until a few bugs get worked out. New patch released on Monday seems to have helped a little.
Everyone on TH-cam is playing a different game to me I still can’t even start career mode due to the first flight bugging and I can’t get in the aircraft nor can I change my characters appearance games busted on series x
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm guessing you have done all the tricks to try to get it working? All I've heard on the Xbox side is to uninstall, remove cache and reinstall and hope that fixes it. Also, trying to reset the career mode has helped some people. Good luck!
Super helpful tips for me as a beginner who just got the PPL. I also got the TCA sidestick but I found it quite sensitive, did you need to adjust settings to make it work better? Cheers mate!
Hey man very nice informative video! But when I bought the 172 I couldn't buy the cargo transport company even though I had the aircraft for that. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe it has to be the cargo version? And if so I don't know how to change the version of the aircraft. Like it doesn't allow me to buy the cargo company wich is really weird. Please help Edit: I sold the aircraft for 125k to be able to obtain most of the certifications to hopefully make more money

I hate speeding the system to earn more money, because I bought this game to fly, not watching the fast forward stream of autopilot. If I was a developer, I would divide by two the exps and money while using double sim rate, etc.
Boy they really nailed it with career mode super addictive. At first I had 0 interest in it but now it’s all I do.

A good way for sim rate to reset to default is go to max slow and press 3 times fwrd and its reset :D

Fuel works somewhat the right way if u just restart the flight when walk-around cut scene ends. Then the fuel you set will be loaded.

@scottmattern482 if you bought the beaver dhc2 for light cargo, there is a bug that happens every flight where the game doesn't load it with cargo😁

Rear tank only 30mins. Beaver is much more complex to handle than Cessna but more fun.

Pretty much. You need at least Direct To to make your life easier. You can adjust the heading but its more of a pain.

Did you unlock the cargo as missions to complete, first?

It’s because you don’t have enough money for a new plane to run in that specific company.
