I agree, it's pretty sad to see that a lot of cars like this eventually have their engine damaged because it's not driven at all and it's just parked in a museum or something. I remember seeing a bunch of old F1 cars in a museum, and it hurt me to see the tires all hardened and imagine it has been sitting there for years and haven't been driven since its last race which was years or even decades before.

I've been in a Cobra 427 as a passenger just on a little ride. And honestly it's frighteningly amazing to feel the whole car tremble and vibrate when the engine is idling or even even at low rpm. I remember I almost panicked when I felt the tail quick out a bit on a roundabout, I was laughing so hard after that for some reason.

I wonder if an ordinary tax payer can buy one of those continuation Cobra Coupe racecar - or you have to be a racecar driver with racing history?? Not to mention - having very much money to spend... I´m just curious...

You can buy a factory five racing cobra or daytona cobra in the 14k-40k range, you can either build the chassis with their parts or with parts from a donor car, usually it's a 79-93 mustang or fox chassis car, or a 2015 mustang rear end, and usually a small block 302 and 5 speed or a coyote 5.0 and 6 speed. Also seen LS engines used, FE big blocks, the infamous 289, and other engines. Your imagination is only limited by your wallet with ffr.
