I literally just finished 2 and I’m working on 1. I want to like 2 better but 1 is growing on me. Obviously this is just my opinion you can disagree but yeah I like both.

I really liked Call of Juarez Bound in Blood. Good story with the bickering brothers, and something different with the western theme. Yes it was grey-brown, but so was every other game at that time. GTA4, Far Cry 2, and so on. Gunslinger was undoubtedly the best, but Bound in Blood was up there too.

Great game. How dare you good sir! Great video though, keep it coming. 👍 Edit: I will also fully admit that Sleeping Dogs is also just a better version of TC:SOLA, it's phenomenal and I played the remastered version a lot.

I only just played Titanfall 2. I bought it 3 years ago but when I tried to play I had some issues running it, so I kinda forgot about it instead of troubleshooting that. Was hoping the threequel would be coming soon but I don't see anything that they're even thinking about doing it yet.

Stuntman: Ignition is a game that I REALLY wish they’d port to Steam or remaster. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on PS2. Even got 5 stars on every mission when I was a kid.
I haven't played Soldier of Fortune Payback, the third game, but Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix was really good and its body destruction system holds up to this day. Plus it had random maps. So it's at bare minimum a series with two solid, maybe 3 games.

The Watch Dogs franchise stands out in Ubisoft’s catalog as it consistently brought fresh elements and innovation with each new installment, unlike their other successful franchises that often rely to the same tried-and-true formula. It’s absolutely pathetic that many casual gamers overlooked this game due to Ubisoft’s perceived lack of innovation and the false belief that it’s a GTA clone.
Seriously. I remember when watch dogs 1 came out loads of people were calling it “gta with hacks” but I played it year one and it felt nothing like that at all. It felt like its own new, unique thing. Definitely wasted potential
Literally. As I was playing recently I was thinking of all the “gta clones” watchdogs and sleeping dogs coincidentally lmao really took the cake for being the of them
@Barrythebarnabas honestly Watch dogs 2 was the best of the bat, it improved upon wd and made most things better, there were slight degrades in certain feature but overall the story and hacking was much more intoned.
Watch Dogs 1 and 2 are very good. Honestly if you played the game, you quickly realized it was very different than GTA. I really loved the dark setting of the first game and the story. Then while the sequel didn’t really have a story, its depiction of San Fran is absolutely amazing. Such a contrast being so bright and colorful and the citizens are so much more unique.
I still think Leigon was a fantastic game, you had to be careful because that guard you are about to deal with has loved ones and friends who care about them geting hurt and you could end up alienating a great operative. Fantastic representation of London aside from the language thing and it's so nice to have a game with accents.
The problem with legion was it had no depth in the recruit anyone system and just over all the game itself felt like it needed more time in the oven. Major downgrade from WD2. The soccer mini game was fun tho
@@titularhero The main problem I had with the version of London, as someone who has visited but doesn't live there is walking around parts of London, the amount of languages you hear is insane where in game you only hear English.

The first Watch Dogs has so much potential. It had a protagonist with an interesting case of PTSD, an interesting couple of antagonists, missions like the one with the human trafficking are honestly good, etc. But they blew it. Thank you Ubisoft.

That's a great list, guys! Between the mentions of Final Fight and Sleeping Dogs you've reminded me why I still dream of a good 3D beat 'em up. Like the classic Yakuza fight system, but with that as the main focus of the game. Watchdogs: Legion is one of my picks for most wasted potential in recent memory. The only real problem with that game is that it's like they were afraid to commit to their own ideas or something. I'd love to see that game iterated on, but I guess the franchise is dead?

My theory about sleeping dogs is the main character was going to be the guy from the first true crime but like you said they cancelled it and just made sleeping dogs which is probably one of my favorite games to date.
P.s. merc 2 isn't that bad in my opinion I kinda like the whole gameplay loop of it. I played it a couple of months ago and it held up better than I expected.
Do you know where you can buy mercs 2 on pc. I have such nostalgia for those games.
Merc 2 is bad compared to the first
@@f-5e126 I couldn't find it anywhere and emulating it was too shady for me to try and I emulate a lot of games but I heard Xbox 360 is hard to emulate. So I had to break out my old 360 and find my old games. I do know it had a PC release at one point but it was delisted.
@@stoat5591sleeping dogs is great. The music is phenomenal as well

The first stuntman was incredible! That frustration is what games need to bring back
I really enjoyed stunt man 1, because of how infuriating the difficulty was, passing a mission was such an achievement and the world creation thing was awesome
Fear 1 was amazing. I kinda liked fear 2 story not the gameplay, and fear 3 was fun to play, more action. Fear 1 did come out for console though
👍🏼
Yeah that confused me too cause I swear I played Fear 1 on ps3
Came to the comments for this. I loved the first fear but I've never even gamed on a PC before
@@IGxSkillZz The console version suffers from visual downgrade and framerate issues as it was rushed port.
The original Stuntman was one of my favorite PS2 games of all time. Yes it was hard but young me was able to complete it and enjoyed the stadium builder mechanic that it also had
Fear did have an Xbox 360 port for the first game, but ive ever only played it on PC, definitely a timeless classic, especially when they still make games like that today like Trepang2.
i'm glad i found this comment. i love F.E.A.R. and was worried i'd have to make a proper sequel myself
I had F.E.A.R on my PS3 as well. I remember loving it because it could draw you in just to have a jump scare or some comedic thing going on. Fun game.
I played FEAR this year on Series X and had a great time. The 360 version runs with an unlocked framerate, so it now hits a consistent 60fps on Xbox and plays like a dream.
Yeah I was going to say, I remember my first time playing it was on 360. I even have the game somewhere around
I'm an old gamer (Pong) and this whole list had me smiling and nodding! Great video.
I LOVE Streets Of Rage 3 that one hurt. As always, the channel is fantastic. It's incredible that you guys are still putting out so much quality content. Great list as usual. Peace.
Im still fully convinced Falcon is an anthropomorphic evolution oddity and a one of a kind talking bird
But could he beat a Space Marine in a fight?
@@xiowraithbut Woody isn't real, Falcon is, because.. because he talks about games that are happening right now.
Still play Titanfall 2 daily. I love this game
i enjoyed very much watch dogs 2, i tried playing watch dogs 1 after and i just couldnt, didnt even tried playing legion tho lol, sleeping dogs is a freaking masterpiece, too bad we didnt get a sequence but happy it did happened honestly
This video is really interesting to me. It's just Falcon talking about his disappointment with certain franchises, which is honestly a good video article. I wish more people would do this because it can really help those of us who want to know about games that might not be on our personal radar
I enjoyed Crackdown 1 and 2, I recently beat both games again. I really enjoyed the jumping around every where. The first one was interesting with the infiltration of the big skyscraper, lots of enemies in there lol
i grew up with many of these "bad" games, Fear 2, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, Mercenaries 2. I loved every single one of them.

Stuntman Ignition was a great game, I played it so much as a kid. One of my favourites so many memories with it!
I liked the first Stuntman a lot at the time. And I love Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, wish there were more games like it
Watchdogs 2 was so goated man. I played that game entirely stealth and was so fucking good.

You're insane, the first Stuntman was pure gold! I want to go find it now maybe try the second one, too. Mercenaries was also a incredible game.
Infamous second son. graphics, story, side quests and DLC. Still one of my favorite games to play through
Mercenaries is so underrated that it actually annoys me that it there isn't Mercenaries 3
Sleeping dogs was amazing. I would love a follow up or even a remake for once
I wish one day they have an announcement for a sequel.
Perfect Dark was an amazing game. It is crazy when you really see all the features they packed into that game.
You could say it was “perfect” heh heh…No? Okay😅
@@lcidd damn…. Can’t argue with that comment. It really was a great game.
Mercenaries 2 is still such a big part of my childhood, I replayed it as an adult and maybe it's the nostalgia but I still thoroughly enjoyed it and it's now my sons favorite game
I honestly liked Watchdogs 1 far more than its goofy sequels. Aiden is still the face of the franchise.
I barely made it a few hours into the 2nd one until i had enough of it lol
I actually like the 2nd way more than the 1st. The 1st was too close to trying to be an Assassin’s Creed game. 2nd actually had personality. 3rd has lots of replayability. What hurt Legion is the stuff they took out of the game (like progressing the character and not the AI).
I like both I finished 2 I had so many hours doing random things and I’m just into the second act of 1 and I’m torn. I think they both do things better than the other. I would give hacking, world, characters, visuals, side quests, customization and music to Watch dogs 2 and story, gunplay, main character, villain, sidecontent(convoys, getaways, gang hideouts),skilltree and atmosphere to Watch Dogs. I literally just finished 2 and I’m working on 1. I want to like 2 better but 1 is growing on me. Obviously this is just my opinion you can disagree but yeah I like both.
I think I liked parts of the story of Watchdogs better but the environment of Watchdogs 2. The story of Watchdogs 2 was just way too cringey for me 😂
I love you guys; but mercenaries 2, fear 2 and true crime streets of LA & NY were fantastic games man.
Titanfall 2 had a good resurgence recently with a lot of populated servers that actually worked without the need for third party matchmaking or modded lobbies
Agreed
I loved Stuntman! It was uber tough like a soulsborne driving game but when you completed the level with minimal errors it felt great.
I had Final Fight 3 on SNES. I actually enjoyed it. Got to where I could beat the game on Hard Mode without using a continue.
Sleeping dogs was legendary for its time, i was really into it.
Mercenaries 2 was my first open world game, so it has a special place in my heart.
I was thinking the same.
WD2 had so much personality man, I love that game so much.
@Falcon My thoughts exactly. 11:40 your insight about driv 3 R and F3AR got me! 💯 😂 your narration is always on point. Great comparison there
As an 11 year old I had so much fun playing Perfect Dark Zero's multiplayer with my best friend. Using the shield and smashing it into each other was a vibe. I remember freaking out from the glass flying everywhere when the shield broke. Just looked unbelievable for a game.
Em, excuse me, the original True Crime: streets of LA may not have been the most polished of games but it was certainly a good game. I enjoyed the heck out of it a lot, even years after it came out and played through it way more times than I care to admit, even doing alternative missions after playthroughs to make sure I didn't miss a thing. Great game. How dare you good sir! Great video though, keep it coming. 👍
Edit: I will also fully admit that Sleeping Dogs is also just a better version of TC:SOLA, it's phenomenal and I played the remastered version a lot.
Make sure you play the DLC as well ❤
I LOVED Bound in Blood's multiplayer. I wish I started earlier though. It got hard to find a match pretty quickly.
And it brought us the infamous laddergoat! 😆
Never played watch dogs 2 but the trusty gameranx comment section has convinced me to download it.
I've played all the Final Fight games... for me it was very well known back then :D
The people at gameranx only said Final Fight 2 was "forgettable" because it killed their parents.
Every video has an always sunny reference. My man Falcon LOL. Definitely an expert in bird law.
😂 its a botch job, botch toe!
Fear 1 actually had a good Xbox 360 port that I still occasionally play with backwards compatibility and is basically the same as the PC game other than the fps
Glad to see Call of Juarez : Gunslinger is on the list ! Game is SOOO slept on !
I only just played Titanfall 2. I bought it 3 years ago but when I tried to play I had some issues running it, so I kinda forgot about it instead of troubleshooting that. Was looking through my library for something to play and it actually ran fine this time. It was awesome, but I beat the campaign in like only 5 hours on normal difficulty. Was hoping the threequel would be coming soon but I don't see anything that they're even thinking about doing it yet.
There's been word that Titanfall 3 was in the works, basically thanks to Apex bringing in a lot of money and also being tied to the same universe however it's been canceled?? I REALLY hope not, this seems to mostly be rumor at the moment but it's what we know for now, this is a somewhat recent news.
Thank u for making me play CoJ: Gunslinger my friend, this is indeed a classic!
Stuntman: Ignition is a game that I REALLY wish they’d port to Steam or remaster. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on PS2. Even got 5 stars on every mission when I was a kid.
I remember the 90’s game “Soldier of Fortune.” Would love to see another one of those.
Those games were good.
I haven't played Soldier of Fortune Payback, the third game, but Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix was really good and its body destruction system holds up to this day. Plus it had random maps. So it's at bare minimum a series with two solid, maybe 3 games.
@@nak3dxsnake Payback wasn't, just a gore galore.
Sleeping dog is so underrated, i told almost everyone this and tell them to go support it. One day i really hope we can get a sequel to sleeping dogs. Follow wei again or something else different in reimagine Hong Kong would be awesome.

Finally, someone talking about watchdogs 2
I absolutely LOVED the original Call of Juarez. It was a ton of fun to play.
I loved Mercenaries so much, that was such an amazing game
To be honest, I've played both, and I know this is blasphemy, but I like the second game just as much.
@@f-5e126I agree. I played them both a ton as a kid, and have replayed the 2nd one several times since, and always loved them both. I was a little shocked honestly that it was on this list.
Perfect dark zero was mid but underrated because its meant to be a couch co-op. The memories of just having with bros at home and online on the late nights were hilarious and easy to pick up. The katana battles we setup are part of the glue that keeps us homies today.
sleeping dogs was really a good game
I really wish the Driver series would return. I had so much fun playing 1 and 2 as a kid, and San Francisco was a blast. I still play it to this day.
Props for the mention of Red Steel 2. That game was so good, and it never gets brought up anymore.
Watch dogs 1 is the best of the series, just wish It had a mission replay option, I want to replay the viceroy ambush mission and collateral.
Resistance franshise should deserve a mention also!
resistance had both 1 and 3 which where great, 2 and the Psp game where just ok
They were good
I still think Leigon was a fantastic game, you had to be careful because that guard you are about to deal with has loved ones and friends who care about them geting hurt and you could end up alienating a great operative. Fantastic representation of London aside from the language thing and it's so nice to have a game with accents.
Doesn’t really work when guards are a dime/dozen. Good concept, bad execution which led to ultimately a lack of characters to care about.
The problem with legion was it had no depth in the recruit anyone system and just over all the game itself felt like it needed more time in the oven. Major downgrade from WD2. The soccer mini game was fun tho
Personally as a londoner, I was disappointed in the version of London in legion, especially when compared to how incredible San Francisco was in wd2.
@@titularhero The main problem I had with the version of London, as someone who has visited but doesn't live there is walking around parts of London, the amount of languages you hear is insane where in game you only hear English.
I played Sleeping Dogs because of Game Pass. A "free" game ended up being one of my favorites.
True Crime: Streets of L.A. and True Crime: New York City was my favorite games as a kid. And I beat them many times. Enough said.
Mercenaries 2 was fantastic! Not sure why y'all think it was worse than the first??
It was ok. The fact u jump off the highest building and practically have more half more than half ur hp left was a little absurd. But overall the game was solid, I really liked it specifically cause u will never see an openworld game in Venezuela. And imo that was cool. But it just felt unrealistic and glitchy in soem places
10:06 “Grand Theft Audio”
I remember when I first played overlord game, it was not a perfect game but there was a strong premise of something which could be expanded in a sequel but they somehow managed to make a miserable sequel.
As a kid I vividly remember seeing the original mercenaries in a magazine and waiting and thinking about it every day. I still have and love that game so much. I was heartbroken when I played the second one, it was okay and I liked the pirates but man it was not even close to the same level as the original. Still my favorite game of all time.
First Stuntman was really good! One of the best mission-based driving games ever imo.
Picking up Fear 2, i was shocked how unoriginal it felt playing it.. i wanted that og fear feeling. Thank the stars for Trepang2 🔥
The first Watch Dogs has so much potential. It had a protagonist with an interesting case of PTSD, an interesting couple of antagonists, missions like the one with the human trafficking are honestly good, etc. But they blew it. Thank you Ubisoft.

Never heard anyone call crackdown 2 a botched game before, that was my entry to the series and by far my favorite. I still remember playing it non stop. Lost track of how many times I beat it, absolute banger.
Titanfall 2 was amazing. I never played the first one and fully expected to only play the campaign to get up to speed on the mechanics for multiplayer but I was hooked, such a good story.
Streets of LA was great and was the reason why anybody even wanted to play another True Crime game in the first place. To say Sleeping dogs is the only good one is a joke.
I liked NYC as well
Comment if you like the first Watch Dog most, upvote if you like the second one :)
I hate Ubisoft. Watchdogs has gotta be one of the more unique and oddly intriguing series that I’ve played and Ubisoft screwed it all up.
Fun fact crackdown 1 and 2 are free on the xbox store and 3 is on gamepass
