“British People Prepared To Accept Controlled Immigration” Starmer Aims To Secure Deal With Europe

  • Sir Keir Starmer will use a major European summit to push for action to secure the continent’s borders as he steps up efforts to tackle the UK’s asylum backlog.
More than 100 Home Office staff will be redeployed from working on the now-scrapped Rwanda scheme to focus on a “rapid returns unit” to send people with no right to be in the UK back to their home country.
The Prime Minister, who is hosting the European Political Community summit, called for continent-wide action to tackle the international “people-smuggling webs”.
Talk’s Dr David Bull is joined by chief political commentator at The Independent John Rentoul.

@@davidryley4162 Young people are definitely not just interested in "computer jobs". They are taking whatever they can get. The opportunities me and my friends had in the 90's are all gone now. There's no proper apprenticeships any more and technical colleges have all but disappeared so getting in to a skilled trade is really difficult. The only way now to get a decent paying, secure job now is with a university education and going in to a profession such as engineering (office based), finance, science or sales (office based). Young people want to own a house one day and there's not a lot of jobs these days which pay enough to make that realistic other than those which involve a desk. I sit at a desk all day building mathematical models and I hate it but it pays my mortgage. I used to be a skilled engineer, building bits of oil rigs but re-trained due for better pay.

UK population is growing at a steady rate, even with immigration. That’s because the birth rate is declining. Hence why we need more people of working age to come into the country (and why we were better off in the EU with European migrants).

There are at least 2 active fatwahs that Interpol once warned the world of, that media has sat on.
      Warning of 14 Oct 14 -
Calls for the genocide of all those who assisted the US in the "invasion" of the middle east post 9/11.
It calls for them to enter homes, businesses, schools, and everywhere infidels are found, and to "wash the streets in rivers of infidel blood"
*** I bet if the world were properly reminded, progressives nor their policies would have been elected.
This fatwah also calls for Lone Wolf attacks, vehicular jihad, and targeting of Catholics and the Vatican.
This is followed by Interpol Warning of 25 May 15 -
This fatwah calls for attacks on law enforcement, security, and military in every country that assisted the US in the middle east.
Now you know more as to the purpose of "Defund the Police" - no police to protect = mass casualties.
How many progressive leaders and cabinets across the West, to include intel, have converted to islam since 9/11/01?
Diversity with incompatible hostile ideologies, is suicide.
Why did Interpol Terror Warnings mysteriously vanish at the end of Pres Obama's "last" term May of 2015?
Don't take my word for it - research the broadcast dates, and share your findings with the world.

I do want to know this, what does he mean by controlled immigration? Completely stop illegal entry via Europe? Tracking tourists? Employing more staff at immigration offices to ensure tourists, students and other visa holders don’t overstay?? Giving a quota to every big company who hires foreign students to ensure that the British youth are still prioritised in gainful employment and skill development?? I think a solid plan is needed instead of these murmurs!!!!

70% of the UK didn't agree to this in the slightest, what actually happened was a poll on their own voters which i might add was less than 40% of the overall vote. The left may build houses and put money into schools but their policies regarding immigration will just make this progress moot, i get that we have international law regarding asylum but scrapping the rwanda project was stupid.
The UN convetion states that people may ask for asylum and a country cant send them back to a country where they will face persecution but by no means does it state that we have to let them in until their claim has been approved.
As for non asylum migrants the the UK drastically needs to lower the numbers so that the economy can recover, net migration below 50-100k people a year is doable but in 2023 alone we saw over 600k immigrants which is atleast 6-7 years worth, this means that the government should be denying visas untill the net migration figres averages out from the past 10 years, i.e 1 million people in total. We should only be accepting people with STEM backgrounds and enough money to not only support themselves financially but also anyone who they are bringing with them.
