I absolutely love your ideas! If you roll up the ends of your individual braiding strands and use a twist tie or string to hold them, braiding is much easier and had no tangles.

Have you ever seen the jute twine at hobby lobby with the silk leaves like the one you used? Yes!! They have jute with tiny leaves and it’s gorgeous! Glad you didn’t frustrate yourself with trying to braid lol. Love everything you create. You are so talented and explain so well. ❤️
Good choice putting the Mod Podge on the entire vase, black with gold, I was thinking the matte black, with the shiny gold, didn’t look right, either. It was beautiful, when you were done.

How do you seal your pots and vases so they can be waterproof.
Best thing I use is a polyurethane. Minwax has one and Verathane as well
