      Hi Steven,
Not sure if you will read this, and I mean well, I just want to make a comment on specifically your comments of insecurities around 00:29:50
You mention earlier in the talk regarding having no time for meditating, despite you knowing it's important. I've taken a lot from your comments on so many hours in the day which I will implement in my life, however, from an outsider who follows your channel, I'm wandering if your using your own application to success, as away to avoid meditating, and dealing with some of the insecurities you mention at the timestamp above.
I've seen in other podcasts you talk about staying up late, and eating which follows with shame / guilt. I'm also guilty of this, and from past experience, I know when I meditate this habit and feelings of security subside. So really I'm being a hypocrite, as I'm suggesting you spend that time late in the evening meditating, as clearly this is an activity that could be replaced with meditating, which would also put you in a better mindset for bed too.
Anyhow, thanks for all the content from you both, it's helped me a lot this year, and really my comments above are a reflection of what I'm also failing to do. I will make the effort tonight to follow my own advise.

Love this. You're right, there are so many amazing, fair, clear thinking people to influence young people out there aren't there. Steven brings many of them to our screens! My aunt who died about 10 years ago once said how lucky I was to have the Internet Inc web and social to display my creative endeavours. She was an artist and said she would have LOVED to have that when she was younger. We take what we have now for granted often, but when you look back, you can see how much we have. Negative sides too of course, but huge opportunity and support

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 📚 Steven Bartlett dropped out of university and faced adversity but was determined to succeed.
01:07 💡 Focusing on acquiring knowledge and skills early in life can lead to success.
06:14 ⚖️ Steve values quitting when something doesn't align with his feelings, leading to a more fulfilling life.
12:53 🕒 Discipline is essential, and it depends on the balance between the importance of a goal and the enjoyment of pursuing it.
19:07 🏋️‍♂️ Prioritizing health, even when it's not enjoyable, can lead to positive changes when you make it fun.
19:49 📚 Prioritizing your health is essential because it impacts everything else in your life.
20:03 💡 When making decisions, consider the discipline equation and how different priorities stack up against each other.
21:53 🪙 Change often occurs when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change, emphasizing the importance of emotional triggers for transformation.
23:46 👁️‍🗨️ Personal beliefs are often more resistant to change than knowledge, and first-party evidence and experiences are crucial for altering deeply ingrained beliefs.
35:06 📈 To stay motivated and happy in your work, focus on challenge and the sense of forward motion, highlighting progress and small gains.
38:23 🏆 One percent gains can lead to significant progress when shared with a team, fostering a sense of forward motion and growth.
38:50 🎯 Pursuing a subjectively meaningful goal in your life, unique to you, is crucial for motivation and satisfaction in your work.
39:32 🕊️ Autonomy and control over your work are essential for physical and psychological well-being.
40:15 🤝 A supportive community of people you like enhances all the other aspects, making your work more enjoyable and fulfilling.
41:24 📚 In terms of creating a fulfilling career, the subject matter is less important than having these five essential elements: growth, purpose, autonomy, community, and alignment.
57:22 🤔 Don't compare yourself with envy; instead, separate admiration from aspiration.
59:25 🙅‍♂️ Beware of how self-esteem can distort your interpretation of others' actions and words.
01:00:07 🧐 Elon Musk's success is rooted in filling five key buckets: knowledge, skills, resources, network, and reputation.
01:03:29 💡 Prioritize filling your knowledge and skills buckets when you're young to set yourself up for success.
01:06:31 🔒 Embrace "Plan A thinking" by eliminating alternative plans to stay motivated and committed to your primary goals.
01:17:15 🎙️ Steven Bartlett's ideal scenario, if he had 500 million, would involve starting a media company focused on podcasts with creators who make a positive impact.
01:18:24 🏢 He would invest significant sums into his companies, such as Flight Story and Third Web, to make them the best in their respective fields.
01:19:03 🌍 Steven expresses a philanthropic side, mentioning investing in initiatives like the one with the Red Cross to help refugees and disaster-stricken areas.
01:20:28 💼 Steven discusses different personality archetypes related to work, highlighting his strong connection to the artist archetype and the importance of storytelling and creativity.
01:30:19 ⚖️ Steven and Ali have regular relationship check-ins, discussing both positive and negative aspects, and establish action points to improve their relationship. Expectation alignment is crucial in their approach.
01:36:24 🪂 Managing joy through managing expectations is key. Influencing your joy by recognizing the absurdity of life's luxuries, like flying comfortably on a plane, can be powerful.
01:36:38 💔 Unmet expectations are often the source of unhappiness in relationships. Addressing and managing these expectations can improve relationships.
01:37:48 🧐 Dealing with criticism as a public figure involves staying true to your values and intentions. This anchors you when facing both positive and negative feedback.
01:38:44 📢 Knowing where to look for feedback and where not to is crucial. Reducing emotional responses to criticism over time can help maintain focus on your goals and mission.
01:43:11 👏 Being patient and gracious with everyone you meet, understanding your impact on their lives, is a valuable responsibility, even if you occasionally fall short.

Consider this as a perspective, not financial guidance: Avoid selling during a bear market. If you're uncertain about investments, focus on acquiring knowledge. If learning isn't your preference, channel your energy into creative endeavors. And if creating isn't feasible, then observe. The crucial point is to engage in action-anything other than withdrawing. Abundant opportunities are available. Seize them!

Absolutely correct. I began my investment journey prior to the pandemic's onset and, to my surprise, generated approximately $750,000 in profits within the same year, despite lacking prior investment experience. My approach largely centered on seeking counsel from ERIC THOMAS WITT, a bona fide industry specialist. It is entirely possible to engage without taking a hands-on role, with the guidance of a professional.

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

I think having regrets is a good thing. It is normal and very therapeutical to have them. Sometimes ppl mistaken regret with a guilt. Regrets gives us a mechanism to explore the life. To figure out what we have control over and what we do not have. Great episode, ❤

5:58 this is so refreshing to hear. Obsessed with the things he likes and unable to do what he doesn't like. For many many years I thought something was wrong with me, since I absolutely hated school when I was a child and didn't seem to get any better at studying despite trying, while I could go hours and hours at a time doing something I liked. Knowing that there's someone like me who was able to get successful is nice to know

My reflections: It felt like a refreshing change to hear massively successful business people talk about their inner worlds, what you FEEL. Especially the end was such a nice change, and much more vulnerable conversation.
Things felt a bit awkward at the end, and it made me understand why people might want to put on a brave face all the time - it's can just feel more confidence-inspiring! But at the same time I love that it happened.
I'm starting to understand the difference between overanalyzing situations and emotions, and properly internalising them.
This is one of my favourite podcast episodes. Looking forward to seeing more of both of you 😄

Whichever seat you sit, Steve, you ask questions from your host or your guests. That's an inquisitive mind and lesson for me on the willingness to learn no matter how much we know.
I usually don't comment on videos, I may type and never post, but I changed that! I stepped out of that habit inspired by your book, The Diary of a CEO I just got.
I started reading, sometimes tear in my eyes, excited, challenged, and encouraged. Sometimes, I read again the law and concept you talk about that isn't clear to me. In all, it just feels like you are speaking to me directly and addressing the main points to my journey.
I'm an immigrant from Nigeria living in the US with my family. I launched into digital marketing/business, which in my opinion is seemingly unconventional for my race, gender and status
It's a new phase, and I am grateful for it and for your wisdom you have shared. I followed and watched your videos as much as I could. I'm learning and applying the wisdom to be better and be a blessing to many, too
Thank you, Ali, for this interview. I had always wanted Steve to be on the "hot seat." 😊 I wanted to hear his journey, and here it is 🙏🏿

Ali, regarding not enjoying going to the gym,
It always amazes me how people think we all have to be doing the same thing aka going to the gym but we forget there’s so many other activities you can do other than going to the gym to stay active and fit that you actually enjoy: swimming, calisthenics, cycling, basketball, hiking, jump rope etc. etc.
I had to acknowledge this myself

I’m overly excited about this episode, I wish this interview with you had happened long ago! 😃 this is a brilliant overview of some key concepts in DOAC - 33 Laws of Business and Life. As an avid reader of the book, there’s so much more in it so no spoilers here.
Acronyms, completely my thing. I use them to enhance memorability. Alliteration, a technique I love for communicating concepts I hope are embedded. There are different ways of doing things and depending on the situation (logic applied always though) it isn’t necessarily one way that can always be right. Squats, also my thing. Interesting to hear of different perspectives on…things. 😊 Steven is incredibly mature for such a young person. His focus, determination and bravery in approach to business is inspiring.
