Having watched this u tube clip Rex Melbourne to Coolangatta I decided to travel up and back 2 weeks ago and was impressed by the serve and friendly staff. I traveled alone and was using a walker put on in Melboure with a lift, removed on the ramp, on return same applied except in Melbourne placed on an electric wheel chair and taken to the airport entrance. Very expressed and happy with the service provide

The warm welcome by the crew the sincere goodbyes and all the lovely treats ice cream, cake, champagne of this inaugural flight it really left a great impression on me. To be honest I’m really kind of angry at the moment. I even wrote a comment on your SOTO video about it. But now that it’s been cancelled it’s been re scheduled to September and I won’t be able to do it in 1st class like I was hoping.
Can’t wait to be back with travelling and on budget airlines. And one day, I will fly to Melbourne on Rex. Makes me want to join you and the celebration. But hopefully I will get the chance to fly domestic with Rex.

REX did well with their pre-boarding entertainment & who doesn't like ice cream! Gate 13, spooky. You have certainly recorded the excellent customer service offered by REX, let's hope they can maintain that relaxed yet professional style. Finally I'm becoming concerned that if REX has too many more inaugural flights that you will need to review some Jenny Craig.centres.
Hi Rory, did you know that Melbourne Terminal 4 has a display of Model Airliners? After going through security, if you turn right and head for the long corridor heading back to Terminal 3, it's just on your right where the big leather couches are.
Looks good and nice video about the flight! Hope you stay safe in Gold Coast during the lockdown up in QLD now. rex has been having regional flight here in SA for as long as I can remember, interesting to see them offering more non-regional flights now!

While Rex adds to some of their network, they are subtracting from other parts of the network. They want to stop services to Bathurst, as one example. Fortunately there has been a stay of execution till Sept, but at this stage, once Sept passes, there'll be no more flights to Bathurst.

Yeah After this flight I realised that customer service is more important than food and the inflight entertainment, I’ll fly Rex more often in the future!
REX will NEVER ever become a new Ansett, Because Ansett were run by old school management and staff, who refused and did not change with time, ie open sky policy that created competition. Airline industries is a do or die industry which Qantas dominate the Australian domestic market. Time will tell, will REX survive going forward. ????
