      Sounds like the battery pack has had it.
      It’s not uncommon for one or more of the cells that make up the pack to fail then giving a false charged indication.
      Was it stored away not fully charged?
      A replacement battery pack should solve this

    As far as I know the battery on mine is not a problem. My problem is that the charger doesn’t charge it. When I plug it in it the charging light isn’t on the plug or hoverboard. The charger is fine it produces the voltage. So how can I fix the hoverboard. The port itself is good too and provides voltage to the first board it plugs into but I am not sure about the connection to the rest of the board.never mind figured it out

      I think that I found why is that is because mother board died and is need to be replaced

      The battery gets to dead and charger won’t read. Take a drill battery and run a jumper wire + To + and -to- then plug the charger in and disconnect the drill battery. All good after.

    Does anyone know how much a new battery pack is likely to cost? Thank you

    • @DrivewayDudes

      Online generally less than $€£40 and at a shop/store/retailer it would be more

    What should I do if my battery is directly saudered to the board?

    • @DrivewayDudes
      @DrivewayDudes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Take note of the + and - and desolder.
      Option 1. When you get the replacement battery pack you can cut the plug off the wires and solder the + and - in the correct order to the board.
      Option 2. You may need to purchase xt60 or xt90 plugs for attaching to the wiring for the battery pack and the board.
      Hope this helps.

    I tried getting a new battery pack but I can't seems to find my exact battery. Can I use another model?

    • @DrivewayDudes
      @DrivewayDudes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The model name is not important. It’s the shape of the battery pack to fit into place. That shape is generally the same voltage that you would require for a hoverboard and the more mAh the longer the run time

    I have a hoverboard, charger works, charging port work. When i plug port into board the right wheel seems to rock back and forth ever so slightly and it doesn’t charge. Any ideas?

    • @DrivewayDudes
      @DrivewayDudes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Disconnect the battery pack and if you have a multimeter identify + and - on the xt connector and + and - on the charger plug. If battery pack voltage is low then you can charge it directly adapting a couple of pieces of wire. The charger light will let you know when it’s fully charged. Reconnect and if it still doesn’t work then there may be a problem with the main board

      I have two batteries like this. I took out the battery, removed the sleeve and checked each cell voltage on the connector that plugs into the BMS. Most cells were very low voltage at around 1-2v. I charged each cell without the BMS plugged in and made sure each one went to 4.2v. Reseal the battery pack and then try again. My batteries charged for a short while with a red light on the charger and then the light went green.
