So it really depends on what your heart is telling you. Fashion design is intense! If you have a strong portfolio of things you have designed and brought to life it will help heavily. If you’re more interested in the business end of fashion, you could do Fashion Business Management! It’s a great major. Photography is great if you want to dedicate your career to that! Once again, you need a strong portfolio! Follow what your heart is telling you, and best of luck!❤️

I was actually a transfer student as well, and I made a video about my acceptance process, so that could be helpful for you! my only complaint with housing was that I was placed with freshmen, which was a little challenging with already having 3 years of college done, but nonetheless, it was still fun! I lived in alumni, so it wasn't traditional dorming. also, making friends was super easy for me, and I didn't really have many issues with it! just be yourself and everything will fall into place❤️❤️

So glad it helped!! 💗 You would have to reapply into your bachelors and redo the entire admissions process! That means that there is a risk you wouldn’t get reaccepted so just keep that in mind!

You can live off campus if you’d like, even as a freshman! I think the first year, living on campus was a great decision for me, but I will be getting an apartment off campus this fall. It’s totally up to you and what you prefer!
I used the Facebook group for my FIT graduating class and found my roommates there! Just look up fashion institute of technology and your graduating class!

I would recommend watching my video on how I got into FIT!! It may be helpful in answering some questions. I had 60 credits when I transferred. depending on what you’d like to do in your career, I would consider looking into a one year associate and then following with the bachelors! You need to do an associate before the bachelors for a lot of fit programs

Hi! Thank you so much for video! It was very helpful. I'm international student and I want to quit college here to study fashion design or fashion business management at FIT. Our country generally is cheap compared to US, esp NY, so Im interested of its possible to get free education(and may be free dorm😩) there? May be if I have high GPA and good portfolio... And is there possibilities to work on campus? Do they pay on internships? Do they offer them often? I have so many questions, but these bother me the most
Hey! Thank you so much for watching. So as for getting a free education and free dorming, the USA doesn’t really make that easy, if possible at all. It may be possible for you to get a scholarship, and the international student scholarships are listed on the website! Likely, it won’t cover all of tuition costs. As for free dorming, the only way to get that, is to become an RA. Though it is unpaid, there are some good perks to it. It’s a difficult position to get, and you have to go through multiple rounds of interviews! And I’m not sure if there are any rules about international students becoming RAs, but you can look on the website. Overall, getting free education in America is difficult, and unlikely, but there are some steps you can take to make it more affordable, like scholarships and positions at school. You can also work on campus and get paid, but there are some regulations with that as well!!! I hope this helped you❤️
