    When I follow these procedures exactly, the descaling operation only uses the hot water pipe. No descaling or rinsing water is dispensed through the coffee tabs at all.

    do I have to install a new aqua clean filter every time I’m descaling it or can I just put back the old filter? because I don’t have a problem with the filter yet

    • @Philips
      @Philips  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment. When descaling your 1200 & 2200 Series Automatic Coffee Machine, it’s not necessary to replace the AquaClean filter each time, provided that the filter is still within its optimal usage period. The AquaClean filter is designed to last up to 5000 cups before needing replacement, as long as you activate it promptly and replace it when indicated by the machine. After descaling, you can indeed reinstall the same filter if it hasn't reached its capacity. Always ensure that the filter is correctly reset after descaling to continue enjoying pure coffee. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the process, please feel free to contact our customer service team.

    • @Philips
      @Philips  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Lee, thanks for your comment. It’s possible that air is trapped in the system or the machine requires descaling. To address this, please ensure that the machine is properly descaled. Descaling is crucial for removing mineral buildup inside the machine and ensuring optimal performance. Additionally, check that the LatteGo milk system is correctly assembled by connecting the two parts until you hear a click, which may require some force. If the descaling light remains on after descaling, or if you experience any other issues, please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the user manual or contact our customer support team for further assistance. You can reach out to us through one of our Social Media channels, or the support page on our website. What does the triangle with the exclamation ⚠️ means when is flashing? It started flashing half way descaling cycle.

    • @Philips
      @Philips  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment. The flashing triangle with an exclamation mark on the 1200 & 2200 Series Automatic Coffee Machines typically indicates that the brew group is not in place, not correctly positioned, or is blocked. To resolve this, please ensure the machine is switched off and then remove the water tank and open the service door. Take out the brew group and rinse it thoroughly under tap water. After cleaning, place it back into the machine until it clicks into position. Close the service door, reinsert the water tank, and turn the machine back on. This should clear the flashing warning light. If the issue persists, it may indicate trapped air inside the machine, which can be resolved by dispensing a few cups of hot water. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team through one of our Social Media channels, or the support page on our website.

    One question regarding water type usage. I decided to use bottled water with lowest possible value of Calcium instead of using tap water with aqua clean filter because in my city the water is very hard. How come machine still gives me Calc error after a while. Shouldn't this process be avoided if I'm using bottled water or at least be prolonged for longer period of time?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, thanks for reaching out. Good question!
      We advise to use the AquaClean filter regardless if you are using bottled water to make your coffee. This is because there is still some calcium in the bottled water, albeit a much smaller amount. Please keep in mind, however, that after about 8 filter cycles using the AquaClean filter, you will still need to descale your coffee machine. If you see that your coffee machine is asking you to descale after an abnormally short period of time or too often, please feel free to send us a message on Facebook (@Philips) or Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Hello Philips, I have the 2200 coffee machine for almost a year, starting using it in January. Since then the descaleing lights were not flashing at all. Does it mean I can still use it finely without descaling it?

    I would also like to know. When do I have to change the AquaClean filter? Whenever I do the descaling?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Petrov, thank you for reaching out with your questions. When the filter is exhausted, the AquaClean light starts flashing orange again to remind you to replace the filter with a new one. But, it's also important to replace the AquaClean water filter at least every 3 months, even if the machine does not yet indicate that replacement is required. The AquaClean filter is there to preserve the taste of your coffee, but also to diminish the need for descaling by reducing limescale build-up in your machine, so preventive replacement is preferable. We hope this answers your questions. If you have more, feel free to let us know. We would gladly help you.

     @Philips Hi there. I just got the machine and my simple question is - what is the difference between using the filter vs not using it at all on EP 1200. Just descaling more often? Will not using filter break the machine sooner?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Davit, good question, and glad to hear you have received your new coffee machine! :)
      Your machine is AquaClean enabled. Since your machine has to be completely limescale-free before you start to use the AquaClean water filter, we advise you to start using the AquaClean filter from the first day. For instructions on installing the filter, please see visuals from page 9 of this user manual: to.philips/6052Gv3Mk
      Enjoy your homemade coffee! :)

      @@Philips That did not answer his question. Not at all.
      His only question was: Will this have any effect other than needing less descaling? Will it, for instance, extend the machine's longevity? In other words, are there disadvantages when choosing not to install the filter, other than needing to descale it more often?

    I have a quick question about my Philips 2200 EP2220/10 coffee machine.
    Does the descaling indicator light actually detect the presence of limescale and turn red automatically based on that, or does it simply light up at regular intervals or after a certain number of coffee/water cycles, regardless of the actual limescale level?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Irem, thanks for reaching out. Good question!
      The descaling light on the Philips LatteGo Series 2200 does not detect the actual presence of limescale. Instead, it operates based on a preset algorithm that tracks usage patterns, such as the number of coffee or water cycles and the hardness of the water you set when you first set up the machine. This system ensures that you descale the machine regularly, which helps to maintain its performance and longevity, even though it doesn’t directly measure the limescale level. ☕
      We hope this information is helpful! Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

      @@Philips We have filtration systems installed for both our tap water and drinking water at home. Despite this, the descaling light on my machine came on. I decided to perform the descaling process using only water, without any descaling solution, and the descaling light turned off afterward.
      This made me wonder whether the machine actually detects the limescale level automatically or if the light is triggered based on a predefined cycle. However, when I contacted customer service, they informed me that the machine does indeed detect the limescale level automatically.
      I’m now unsure which information is accurate. Could you please clarify this for me?
      Thank you

    So, I clenaed all the trays, etc, and then prepared descaler with water for cleaning procedure and then started the coffee machine, and it as usually takes the water during bootup process, is that ok that it takes the mixed warer with descaler fluid during startup as during cleanup process the water comes out of milk frother ?
    Also second question, why coffee is not hot, or how to make it hot, as with this coffee machine it gets cold really quickly and not that hot in the first place..

    This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
