I think the approach that they took with Killer Croc in the game with trying to make him seem more monstrous in order to make the segment where you are in his lair scarier is valid and effective, but I think they leaned a bit too much into it. Sure he is scary in the game but he kind of seems like a generic monster who eats people and sacrifices some of Waylon's more humanizing qualities.
I definitely agree to an extent but I also think part of it is to show how brutally inhumane the asylum is, treating him so much like an animal that that's all that he's willing to expose of himself
@@Elitekross Yeah to a degree I understand that but another problem with that is his design which is too massive and makes him look like a hulking beast instead of a person suffering from a genetic condition. And the way they characterise him in this game is the same way they do in the other games so you can't say that he only is like that because of the asylum.
So glad you've been enjoying playing this! The first game any studio makes is always going to be rough around the edges but I think it's aged really well. Arkham City is one of my favourite games of all time, you're going to be amazed at how much they expand.
I'd played the other two in the series so many times, but never this one for some reason, but you made it look like so much fun that I went back and tried it and I'm really loving it. It's so much different from the rest of the series, yet so similar. Loving the videos though.
Kinda unrelated to anything, but also related at the same time, i really like how you title everything (not only the videos but the chapters as well), "Taylor Swift plays Hollow Knight" is a perfect example of that (or Joker is not a happy bunny)

a nice session as always. Regarding your new positioning of yourself, I do feel that for this game, the middle left isn't working very well. You are covering up your combo multiplier, and what I assume were your directions in Croc's lair.
Yeah the Croc mission as nerve wrecking. You spent the most of the game stalking and hunting the thugs and yet in this mission Croc was hunting you. Knowing he’s there ready to pounce when you least expect it now you know how criminals being stalked by Batman were.
Considering how you're really into the story and lore of the Arkham games, I definitely recommend reading the Arkham City prequel comic BEFORE you start the next game as as the sequel opens up with a doozie with barely any context on what the heck is going on, it will certainly add to your enjoyment of the sequel!

I'm really enjoying the series! By the way, don't pay attention to those who label it as just a trilogy. Make sure not to skip Arkham Origins!!! It's one of the best (my personal favorite), if not the best.

It depends on the interpretation of Killer Croc that we are talking about. Sometimes he's sympathetic, and sometimes he isn't.
