- A live fish got loose in the nest and was in with the chicks for a time while mom ate an old fish tail. The chicks were fine and had a hearty meal. #2 also takes a tumble during the meal.

It was hilarious to see the fish tail flopping around the chicks. No chick seemed to be hurt by being "slapped around ". And I love to see the chicks waddle up the nest bowl to get closer to the food.

This is so cute and funny! I love how the fish after being delivered by Dad just lands on the babies lap.As if the fish is elated to be there probably saying "Go ahead, Eat me now, get it over !", then when that does not happen the fish starts slapping them to get their attention. It was so cute when little sibling got in front to get fed and the other flips over. Nature at its best!

Jorge aguirre. Si, pudiera ser, el movimiento se ve.un poco artificial. Ese tipo de aguilas y tambien el aguila Americana cabeza calva (cabeza blanca) hacen sus nidos en la parte de arriba del arbol; quizas a eso se debe que el nido es movido por la corriente del viento. Pienso que estan en su habitat natural cerca de un.lago o rio: se oyen sonidos de patos. Gracias por tu comentario. Saludos desde Texas y bendiciones. 👋👋👋

Fish is lower in the scale of evolution, they are food like plant.
Mom kept eating and gave little to the chicks; see how mom devours a great portion of the fish before it turns to the little ones.
That's how it works with the ospreys. The parents need to keep up their strength, and the chicks get plenty of fish on this nest, thankfully.
The mother doesn’t give her the baby and eats it.
Well with all the half eaten fish laying around and the used condom on the left hand side it looks like they had a pretty good party and the Maid needs to clean up!!
