I love how many of the lines from Harley's interview tapes are word for word taken from _Mad Love_ which Paul Dini also wrote. You can't beat perfection.
Could be, but the asylum opened at the end of Origins, which could explain why Harley wanted to work there, because Joker already got to her, at least i think so
Well after years it got fixed in arkham shadow where in the tapes it can be seen joker and harley had a playful convo each time they meet like its their first
Guard: We have one of the most dangerous patients here, Joker. What should we do. Warden:I know. Let's have him interviewed by the most inexperienced gullible female doctor we have. Guard: GENIUS!!!
@@krulside2737 He doesn’t need any. He rivals Hugo Strange in levels on manipulation. He can make you do anything just by talking to you. And besides, a fair amount of the guards at Arkham are easy to bribe, so chances are he took advantage of that and has some on him 24/7.
Bro, when Harley said the reasons why Joker does what he does, she was actually right! In Arkham Knight there is that epic scene in the end that this is said by Batman before he locks up Joker for good.
This was uploaded on Harley's 17th Birthday. I compare the Harley in these games to Kandi from Two and a Half Men. And I hope there are Interviews in Arkham Knight.
if you wanna see a more detailed version read the mad love graphic novel or find the episode of batman the animated series by the same name. both of which are the same thing. But they are both the origin story of Harley Quinn and one of the best reads in comics honestly
I don't know about you guys, but Arkham Asylum remains my favorite one of all. Arkham City is excellent, but Asylum's more "linear structure" moved me more. Arkham Knight is also great, in spite of that %$#@! Batmobile. Origins is an okay "more of the same" game. And when I played Asylum, it had the special flavor of novelty, that the others didn't have. Still, I'm a fan of the whole series.
Same here. I absolutely see this game to be the best out of the franchise. I do agree City was a great game to play. I actually dislike Origins due to it causing Retcons, especially concerning Joker and Harleys first meeting. As for Knight, I can't really form a vivid opinion, due to me not getting around to playing it. But regardless, I really do find Asylum the best so far.
The third tape is just like in the Batman Animated series episode Mad Love. This shows how much of an influence they have on this game, and that is what I love about it! :D Mark Hamil ftw!
"how did you smuggle it in?... wait I don't want to know" lol classic. I love the joker, and hate him. Everytime he did something evil he would always make me laugh right after. it's a weird love/hate thing he does so well.
These tapes are very similar to the episode and graphic novel Mad Love from Batman the Animated Series. Best of all Arleen Sorkin and Mark Hamill reprise their roles as Joker and Harley. But unfortunately this was the last time Arleen voiced Harley before her retirement in 2011 and death in 2023.
Weird, it's the exact same dialog from Mad Love, but she uses her whiny, high-pitched New York accent instead of the low, normal voice before she goes crazy.
This is from Mad Love because Harley Quinn was officially introduced in TAS episode "Joker's Favor". DC loved the character so much that they put her in the comics as one of Batman's classic rouges.
You know, in a way, Joker is kinda right. Most of society is compelled to violence and madness, we're only human. Joker believe if we embrace it, become part of it, we will have nothing to fear or hide from, cause we'll be IT >:D
Kevin Conroy, Adrienne Barbeau, Arleen Sorkin and Mark Hamill. When I played this game and heard their voices, I thought I was watching the cartoons. I love this game so much.
Yeah, God I wish that Ms. Barbeau and Ms. Sorkin came back to reprise their respective roles in Arhkam City. Not that I have anything against Grey DeLisle and Tara Strong as Catwoman and Harley Quinn, but I am just saying. I mean, it's because of the nostalgia that we all have of listening to their voices.
This is brilliant, but i would have loved if Harley had an interview with one of the doctors at arkham. It would be interesting to see what kind of things Harley would say.
Sometimes I think the Joker is actually telling the truth, but he knows everyone will think he's just making up another story. The truth hiding in plain sight maybe?
I like this reworking of the Mad Love dialogue to fit the interview tapes. My only complaint is how similar Harley's voice is to Harleen's. In the Animated Series she was really someone else when she was a Doc.
The first couple tapes are nearly word for word from the Animated Series episode that shows how she became Harley Quinn. The last few use direct lines too. This is not a complaint, just an observation
Is that really how joker turned Harley? She fell for him and he was able to convice her that Batman was truly the crazy one and he was the one being honest about the world?
Joker: "He is crazy you know.."
Harley: "Who Batman?"
Joker: "No Santa Claus."
xD I died
same
+Melissa M xD
Favorite line right there!
QueenKiller that is the best part of the interview.
J isn't wrong about Batman he's both damaged and crazy it's just he's not evil like most of them
I find it fitting that the last tape where they escape is on April 1st.
Does anyone else just love Joker's monologues?
'Cause I do.
me too. also hello 7 years from the future
"He's crazy you know....."
"Who? Batman?"
"No Santa Clause, OF COURSE BATMAN!!!" lol best line ever
The police, the media. The freaking junior rangers
No santa clause OF COURSE BATMAN
two of the best quotes in the tapes
I love how many of the lines from Harley's interview tapes are word for word taken from _Mad Love_ which Paul Dini also wrote.
You can't beat perfection.
Something one should point out:
The Arkham series kinda screwed up when they showed Harley meeting Joker in Origins.
Could be, but the asylum opened at the end of Origins, which could explain why Harley wanted to work there, because Joker already got to her, at least i think so

Did Anyone think of batman the animated series. The episode mad love while watching this?
That's what this is based on, as both were written by Paul Dini.
Alot of the lines are taken directly from there.
Harley: "I got what you wanted."
Joker: "You did? I mean, eh good! How did you smuggle it in- EH! Eh de-actually I don't want to know."
2:17 he sounds a bit.....umm sexual XD
0:41 sounds A LOT sexual.
Yeah i know this commet is 8yr old it sounds like joker is trying to take harly virginty@@madamx7422
She was INTERNING and the first patient they gave her was THE JOKER? 😭
LOL that’s like skipping little leagues and going straight to major leagues and she got played big time
This was uploaded on Harley's 17th Birthday. I compare the Harley in these games to Kandi from Two and a Half Men. And I hope there are Interviews in Arkham Knight.
Too naive. She really loved The Joker even though he treated her like shit.
She deserves better than him.
If I was joker I would treat her like gold
This is a callback to the show and I never realized
RIP Arleen Sorkin

I love how they made it the Mad Love story in her tapes its really cool.
Last tape was from the 1st of April. Harley Quinn truly is dressed like a jester; a fool, if you will.
An April Fool.
Well, batman the animated series created harley quinn, so It makes sense for them to have it sound like that.
joker what u on about santa is crazy!!
April 1st: April fools day and the day Harley Quinn joins the clown prince.
"how did you smuggle it in?... wait I don't want to know" lol classic. I love the joker, and hate him. Everytime he did something evil he would always make me laugh right after. it's a weird love/hate thing he does so well.

Geez, I never get over how easily Harley is manipulated by joker. In less than a month!
Love how the interviews are actually from the series!
XD
Ladies & gentlemen, the wonderful voices of Mark Hamill and Arleen Sorkin.
It took Joker less than a month to totally crack Harley!
Interview 3 is from Batman the Animated Series.
I feel like this is familiar of 1 tape, 3 tape, and 4 tape that Harleen talks to the Joker of in therapy, I think.
joker; he's crazy you know harley; who? batman joker; no, santa claus of course batman at 2;26
Batman TAS: Mad Love
Weird, it's the exact same dialog from Mad Love, but she uses her whiny, high-pitched New York accent instead of the low, normal voice before she goes crazy.
hes crazy you know... who batman? NO SANTA CLAUS
I hope the second game has these tapes in them to find as well. I would love to hear the stuff two face and mr freeze would say :D
Well guess what..... 😂

Harley and Joker, much better love story than Twilight.
i love that.
"how did these get into my office?"
"simple really! I put them there!"
Even though Joker only said "fricken' " it was still awesome!!
You know, in a way, Joker is kinda right. Most of society is compelled to violence and madness, we're only human. Joker believe if we embrace it, become part of it, we will have nothing to fear or hide from, cause we'll be IT >:D
In the animated series. She used a different voice for regular Harley and mad Harley. Its the same actress so it is sane
Ah, I loved this episode.
I love the fact that the last log happens on April 1st. What an April fool's day.
Kevin Conroy, Adrienne Barbeau, Arleen Sorkin and Mark Hamill. When I played this game and heard their voices, I thought I was watching the cartoons. I love this game so much.
it always gets me because when he says no santa claus he sounds so serious.
Wow. Parts of this interview are synonymous with the Batman Animated series episode "Mad Love" - almost word for word (particularly the second tape).
They'll eat you for breakfast. One or two of them will enjoy it too.
Killer Croc: *holding a knife and fork* >:D
he is not crazy!
HE IS A FREAKING GENIUS XD!!!!
So you know, then, exactly how much of a planning expert the Joker must be.
Yeah, God I wish that Ms. Barbeau and Ms. Sorkin came back to reprise their respective roles in Arhkam City. Woah, that's a lot of lines taken from the animated series!
The last one's on April 1st
Danial Cousins Wow
MAYPRIL FOOOOOOOOOLS!
i love the references to "the killing joke"
its was because and thanks to the TAS that Harley Quinn become part of Batman universe

Joker:He's crazy,you know.
Harley Quinn:Who?Batman?
Joker:No,Santa Claus.WELL OF CORSE BATMAN!
This explains when Joker met Harley. :D
Niiiice one, Rocksteady! Same dialogue as the animated series!
Most of the dialogue is taken from the episode "Mad Love."
XD that was funny when he said no Santa claus I'm sleep
They'll eat you for breakfast. One of two of them will enjoy it too.
Joker: I already have ;)
Ah...a madman match made in heaven or hell.
How did you smuggle it in? Actually, I don’t want to know.
I think Joker understood at that point lol
This inst what happened in Arkham Origins!
Yeah it's what happened in batman tas

''They eat you for breakfast'' 10 bugs she talked about Killer Croc.
I like how they used the dialogue from the animated series. :'DD
Dr. Quinzel, Joker played you like a violin.
Because everyone else had tried, plus he's the least physically intimidating. Everyone underestimates his manipulative mind.
thumbs up if after the final tape stopped you got a little spine chill
I love these tapes
I like the beginning of the 3rd tape
This is from Mad Love :3
They did in the New Adventures :) But apparently they forgot it when they made "Arkam Asylum" :(
They are so cute :)

I love that part!
the police, the media the FREAKING JUNIOR RANGERS
Are these all clips from the animated series?
Those tapes were from the animated series of batman that was in 1992 I think
This kinda contradicts Origins
thats my favorite part!
If anyone can help me, please do. So, what happened in tape 5? I'm trying to visualize it. Did he escape from his cell or just shoot a window?
The best origin story ever?
Ha! The last tape is on April Fool's day
the police, the media, the FREAKING JUNIOR RANGERS
This was almost entirely the same as the "Mad Love" Batman episode. OF course Harley's accent makes her sound weird when she's trying to be a doctor.
she actually says this in batman the animated series
Much better than Tara Strong's Harley Quinn.
Alexis Anderson
Nope, it's Arleen Sorkin, Harley's original voice actress, in her last time voicing the role.
