The disbelief in Joker's voice when he says to Dr Young "And you think you can cure me?" is funny because you can tell he's thinking "How naive are you?"
067Bianca I know this is a very old comment, but I don't actually think he's referencing Harley. He was just making a one-off joke at the Doctor's expense.
The Arkham Knight A Matter of Family DLC reveals that Joker had been manipulating Dr Young for years before Asylum under the Jack White alias and one of the earliest Titan test subjects was a little girl with cancer called Katie Burke. Joker gave an early version of Titan to Dr Young saying it was alternative cancer meds but instead it worsened Katie's cancer causing her to die a slow and painful death. And it was all to get his hands on a park Katie's father Edward Burke had built for her using some of her drawings from when he visited her in the hospital. Joker wanted to use the park as part of his plan to kill Batgirl and Robin because he hated Batman's sidekicks believing they were spoiling his "game" with Batman. So Joker kidnapped Jim Gordon to lure Batgirl and Robin to the park and even though they saved Jim and arrested Harley Joker got away using a parachute. A few years before Joker had already gotten rid of Jason Todd by torturing and breaking him in Arkham Asylum causing Jason's transformation into The Arkham Knight.
al112v4 please don't tell me to not compare two actor doing the voice of the same character. also, the joker is a joker, he is always happy, trying to give you the best (and last) laugh of your life.
al112v4 i don't mind if something is different, i mind if that different thing is good, and ledger was not good, his joker is an oversold version of a villain with a philosophy.
I think the joker just acts crazy. The bad jokes are part of his real personality while his other acts are part if his persona he uses. He is slightly mad but I think that he' s actually being really clever in making everyone believe that he's crazy.
that reminds me of this one brilliant theory about the joker. He acts crazy and nihilistic because he realizes that he's in the pages of a comic book or on a tv screen. He knows what the 4th wall is. This made people jump into the conclusion that Joker may be super sane if anything. Evidence points to how he was dumped into the Lazarus pit, only to behave like a normal person. We all know the Lazarus pit can drive anyone mad if they use it too much like ra's did.
Mark Hamill at one of his voice acting best! :D Plot Spoiler: This PROVES that the Titan project was initially Young's idea from the beginning. Joker merely helped it along....
I think my favorite part of these tapes in the last one where he mockingly says “Reminds me of my childhood.” It’s just such a cruel little twist of the knife to remind her how he’d fooled her even when she thought she saw through him.
That's actually Cree Summer. She's done of ton of voice work in cartoons and video games. I love how she's convinced she can CURE the Joker. Is she new in town or something?
Fun fact; Whistler is played by the same actress as Catwoman from Batman TAS. Despite the accent, Barbeau‘s completely American so she must be quite good at doing them.
There weren't many Jokers, but Hamill is definitely my personal fave. Then goes Ledger's Joker, oh that guy was a genius! Didn't get much of a chance to portray the character a bit more though, too bad.
Doc: Let's talk about your family.... J: Of course. I was born in a small fishing village. I always wanted to join the circus, but my father wouldn't really let me... Doc: I don't believe you. J: My father was a cop, 1 week from retierment when the mob... Doc: I've seen the movie. What are you scared of? J: scared? ... OOOHHH GOOODD HE IS REALLLY A JOKER AFTER ALL!!!!! XDDDD
“Who knows? I certainly don’t.” Does... Joker not remember what MADE him the Joker? Is that it? Can he just not remember? Is that why he has so many stories? (Besides messing with people.) That would be interesting.
Joker: "The first one is a kitten I used to have as a child. The second is, hmmm, let's see...a dead elephant. The third is a-" Dr. Young: "Very funny. Now let's skip the jokes." J: "Skip the jokes?! Hey, Sharpie! Didn't she get my permanent record?" Warden Sharp: "Be quiet, Clown!"
@paddonc Yup. And in the comics, his identity is still unknown. So making this Joker more like the comics means making him *not* Jack Napier (which was just a one-time alias that the police believed was his real identity for a while).
Doc: "Anything can be cured, given the proper treatment." Joker: "That's what they said about the so-called 'gay gene', and yet Tom Cruise doesn't seem to be any different, does he?"
@paddonc But his name isn't Jack Napier... It was in the Tim Burton movie, and I think one story made reference to it, but everywhere else, nobody knows his name.
The joker is supposed to be terrifying in apperance if you face him face to face you'l crap your pants just looking at his face it's horrifying you know like the joker kept telling about his scars stories just to scare people more
J: I was born in a small fishing village. I wanted to join the circus. But my father wouldn’t let me. Y: I don’t believe you J: my father was a cop two days away from retirement until he was shot. Y: I saw the movie J: he liked to flip a two sided coin to chose my punishment Y: that’s dent’s father J: ok, my dad was a drinker Y: different joker J: You’re not making this easy doc!
You know, the Batman series could go on forever if they revealed tiny, tiny bits about the Joker's past every so often, then finally got their money's worth and said, "Bam! Here's who the Joker really is."
@that1dude0092 ... I know I've already said this to someone else, but this wasn't a literal question. It was subtle slightly dirty humour implying that 'I know, I've seen the tapes' referred to CCTV footage of xxx material of Joker x Harley. Wow, how bad must the joke be if I had to explain it - and more than once! Joker would be disappointed.
Making it look good with new animations wouldn't be really fitting to the show. If you love Batman at all, you will enjoy the way it used to be. Visuals or not.
The joker shouldn't keep on existing he should be dead he should have died a long time ago these people can't last long with the state of their conditions by a bomb exolosion or gun shot wound by one of his henchmen who betrays him right on the soit of where joker was standin street corner inside a building whatever just so he can end him
you know... the more I look back on the plot of arkham asylum... the more stupid it sounds, okay so what was pumping bane's serum from him and fucking with it supposed to accomplish? this is a serum that clearly functioned like super steroids! putting it in joker would only make him like bane! what the hell? nobody stopped and thought "hmmmm why are we doing this again?"
The disbelief in Joker's voice when he says to Dr Young "And you think you can cure me?" is funny because you can tell he's thinking "How naive are you?"
Kinda surprised me that he recognizes Harley as his girlfriend, tbh
Same
Why shouldn't he? XD
little Maleficent He's abusive towards her, but he loves her in his own way stated from Hamill himself.
067Bianca I know this is a very old comment, but I don't actually think he's referencing Harley. He was just making a one-off joke at the Doctor's expense.
He does not actually luv her he twisted her mind and made her think shes in luv with him
Mark Hamill is the ultimate Joker.
Meh, I'm more Heath Ledger, but Mark is still phenomenal as the Joker.
@@benformation8123 Yeah, okay.

And if I am not wrong, Joker in Arkham Origins was seeing How this Titan Works in people by looking its effects at Bane
He also killed Katie’s father with Joker toxin pills.
When Joker tells you it won't be funny.....pray.
Man murders one person. Sentence is death.
Joker kills thousands. Gets sent to the most security illiterate asylum on earth.
@turtlegameryoutube2254 Pure insanity
this joker beats ledger's in every sense
Neko Medic This was more like a "happier" Joker, Ledger's one was more edgier, don't compare.
al112v4 please don't tell me to not compare two actor doing the voice of the same character.
also, the joker is a joker, he is always happy, trying to give you the best (and last) laugh of your life.
What if maybe I'm one of those people that I like variety and different things and not just stuck with the original material.
al112v4 i don't mind if something is different, i mind if that different thing is good, and ledger was not good, his joker is an oversold version of a villain with a philosophy.
Well, that's your opinion, mine and a lot of people agrees that he did a really good job, even Michael Keaton and Mark Hamill himself.
If that were me I'd be like, "O boy. I get to interview a major criminal!" Then Joker walks in and then I'd be like, "Fuck this. I quit."
Fun Fact; Dr. Young's Voice Actress is the same girl who played Penny in the original Inspector Gadget.
And Numbah 5 from Kids Next Door.
really? That's surprising
And Foxy Love from Drawn Together.
+Sound Effect Studios and Susi Carmichael from the Rugrats. Cree Summers has quite the distinct voice.
Awesome.
am i the only one who thinks the joker is sooooo charming?
Nope, Harley agrees with you 100% :)
That's his manipulation talking. He's got you hook, line, and sinker.
"Dr. Quinzell, I know, I've seen the tapes." ... What tapes
Harley Quinn's
2:24 Hour afraid of being ashes. Your afraid of being ashes! And you'll be forgotten Joker! Because of me!
I think the joker just acts crazy. The bad jokes are part of his real personality while his other acts are part if his persona he uses. He is slightly mad but I think that he' s actually being really clever in making everyone believe that he's crazy.
FINALLY SOMEONE IS ON MY SIDE XD!!!!!!
that reminds me of this one brilliant theory about the joker. He acts crazy and nihilistic because he realizes that he's in the pages of a comic book or on a tv screen. He knows what the 4th wall is. Oh Mark, you made my childhood and teens a much better place (even now from time to time). for your awesome Joker
These tapes were really good. Especially the Zsasz ones.
Joker is charming and charismatic in the worst way possible.
Mark Hamill at one of his voice acting best! :D
Plot Spoiler: This PROVES that the Titan project was initially Young's idea from the beginning. Joker merely helped it along....
He tricked Harley Quinn and now her but she was smart enough to realize it!
Tricked me? No no no....hes my puddin. forever and always
+Luke Hemmings you seen it here folks, Luke hemmings is secretly Harley quinn
+Harley Leon Looks like one of the Joker thugs outside the church in Arkham City was right. Harley really used to be a dude.
lmao
I think my favorite part of these tapes in the last one where he mockingly says “Reminds me of my childhood.” It’s just such a cruel little twist of the knife to remind her how he’d fooled her even when she thought she saw through him.
That's actually Cree Summer. She's done of ton of voice work in cartoons and video games.
I love how she's convinced she can CURE the Joker. Is she new in town or something?
Interview #20 reminded me of a quote: "If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!"
"My father was a cop, 1 week from retirement when the mob.."
"I've seen the movie.."
XD I wanna see it lol
"What's up, doc?" lol
Fun fact; Whistler is played by the same actress as Catwoman from Batman TAS. Despite the accent, Barbeau‘s completely American so she must be quite good at doing them.
lmao
"You scratch my back, Doc and... well, I won't have you wrapped in plastic and left in a gutter."
God bless Mark Hamill.
She got closer than Hugo strange did to figuring out the true origin story of the joker
(Joker on the phone) Hello, Doc. We need to talk.
Imagine the Joker and Darth Vader in lightsaber fight now...
Wow they really gave his name all these years ago and it was his real name
There weren't many Jokers, but Hamill is definitely my personal fave. Then goes Ledger's Joker, oh that guy was a genius! Didn't get much of a chance to portray the character a bit more though, too bad.
If I was a psychologist and i was called in to interview the joker I'd call in sick.
Joker: "What's up, Doc?"
XDDDD
you realize the term girlfriend is different to him right, that and he IS THAT CRAZY!
“Who knows? I certainly don’t.”
Does... Joker not remember what MADE him the Joker? Is that it? Can he just not remember? Is that why he has so many stories? (Besides messing with people.)
That would be interesting.
I think it more or less likely, though he might just not care. He could be lying
Joker said it himself: "If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice."
Joker: "The first one is a kitten I used to have as a child. The second is, hmmm, let's see...a dead elephant. The third is a-"
Dr. Young: "Very funny. Now let's skip the jokes."
J: "Skip the jokes?! Hey, Sharpie! Didn't she get my permanent record?"
Warden Sharp: "Be quiet, Clown!"
@01:18-01:19
OMG!!! The Joker made a reference to Bugs Bunny's infamous catchphrase.
i found every tape, and every riddle!!!
We really need transcripts for these things
I’m guessing getting wrapped in plastic and being left in a gutter is a best-case scenario when it comes to dealing with the Joker
He so good
Love how he immediately jumped to the next fake backstory.
I realy find many of his jokes funny :) Joker is my favorite villain of all time he is just amazing :)
@paddonc
Yup. And in the comics, his identity is still unknown.
So making this Joker more like the comics means making him *not* Jack Napier (which was just a one-time alias that the police believed was his real identity for a while).
Trying to cure The Joker is like trying to get Bieber to put out good music
Nope. cause joker got a CHANCE! XD
Agree
Mark hamill will always be my childhood joker
Theres a method to the maddness...Or was it madness to the method.Mabye its both? LOL
2:20 What movie is he referencing?
Fair enough. I should probably try reading the comics more.
Doc: "Anything can be cured, given the proper treatment."
Joker: "That's what they said about the so-called 'gay gene', and yet Tom Cruise doesn't seem to be any different, does he?"
@paddonc
But his name isn't Jack Napier...
It was in the Tim Burton movie, and I think one story made reference to it, but everywhere else, nobody knows his name.
What’s sad… is that the joker really does remember he wife and unborn child. He just doesn’t want remember it….😢
What movie does he reference?
@LoveMeNots lol, someone who understood my humour :)
Jack White also a musician
The joker is supposed to be terrifying in apperance if you face him face to face you'l crap your pants just looking at his face it's horrifying you know like the joker kept telling about his scars stories just to scare people more
@commandouma this is still mark hamil, and his final appearance will be on arkham city
I'm pretty sure that the Joker is one of the sanest people ever.
OF COURSE HE IS! :D
I'm over here like if Penelope Young knew about Harley and joker's relationship I would fire her immediately or admit her into the asylum
Only saying that I thing that joker name is jack white because, the comics don't officially say it but the games and movies say it
He uses multiple aliases, hence why he has no official name.
What film is Young referring to?
the riddler and the joker have the same poses
What's up, Doc
I'm using the term loosely as they don't really seem to explain what venom actually is
You make me blush doc. I have a girlfriend. That was epic! :D
@Venom0027 How well do you think that would go? He's Joker, he's practically the Anti-Batman :P
a dead elephant... hahaha xDD I LOVE HIM!! He's my True love...
No...harley thinks so too.
why is warden sharp the owner of the asylum. They should get someone that can take a punch without passing out
@TotalRavingLunatic yeah check her tapes
or watch the batman animated series
J: I was born in a small fishing village. I wanted to join the circus. But my father wouldn’t let me.
Y: I don’t believe you
J: my father was a cop two days away from retirement until he was shot.
Y: I saw the movie
J: he liked to flip a two sided coin to chose my punishment
Y: that’s dent’s father
J: ok, my dad was a drinker
Y: different joker
J: You’re not making this easy doc!
You know, the Batman series could go on forever if they revealed tiny, tiny bits about the Joker's past every so often, then finally got their money's worth and said, "Bam! Here's who the Joker really is."
@commandouma Uh...where did he go, exactly?
@LoveMeNots yep.. or he could just have amnesia about his past due to his chemical poisoning, so he makes one up
What about his relations to Batman?
I wonder how Joker is when his alone......?
2:10 - 2:22 What movies is he talking about?
So he DOES recognize Harley as his girlfriend!...how sweet!, he is not THAT looney afte all
No, they say Jack Napier.
Jack Napier is an alias.
Not charmming a pimp. Harleys lil' puddin.
Joker would be disappointed.
what movie is the joker referring to? anyone?
@DisrespecfulSyrup so did every1 else
Harely does
@paddonc
... No, wouldn't any *real* Batman fan go by the actual comic books? Not the animated TV series...
Is that a real film in the third tape?
@Paperjelly its a (somewhat rude) joke lol, i've already found all the tapes in the game :P
Making it look good with new animations wouldn't be really fitting to the show. If you love Batman at all, you will enjoy the way it used to be. Visuals or not.
why? hes not dead
haa Jack White!
OK.
Hmph, I didn't know Joker is a claustrophobic?
maybe that's why he didn't wanted to "ride" his little "HARLEY"! XD O.o
The joker shouldn't keep on existing he should be dead he should have died a long time ago these people can't last long with the state of their conditions by a bomb exolosion or gun shot wound by one of his henchmen who betrays him right on the soit of where joker was standin street corner inside a building whatever just so he can end him
+DJ Alakay. Lay off.
a steroid.... a freaking steroid....
you know... the more I look back on the plot of arkham asylum... the more stupid it sounds, okay so what was pumping bane's serum from him and fucking with it supposed to accomplish? this is a serum that clearly functioned like super steroids! putting it in joker would only make him like bane! what the hell? nobody stopped and thought "hmmmm why are we doing this again?"
Thumbs up if you miss Mark Hamill!!!
