I have a vivid memory of buying a HUGE stack of these booster packs from Media Play in 1998 for my best friends 13th birthday party. They were on clearance pricing for like $1 per pack, and I had to have picked up like 30+ of them, which was an utterly ABSURD number of packs for young us at the time, prior to that I never had opened more than like 5 packs at once. We had an absolute blast, this set was literally the funniest shit in the world to us at that age.
Hurloon Wrangler is the reason why there is a section in the rules that you can change clothes as a special action and so it doesn't use stack. We have an ongoing joke in our commander group when we're losing that we say "in response I'm gonna take my pants off."
I actually bought one of the Clambassadors at 69¢ and sent it directly to my friend out of state. Still waiting for him to send me a message, if you're reading this: get Clambassadored nerd.
Update: he just got it, his reaction was "sheer confusion, like: the fuck is a Clambassador?"

I have no clue about magic or a lot of other TCG's but I quite enjoy watching openings for some reason. it's so refreshing to see Wubby just care so much for cards and is interested in them. most shit I used to watch those people were just into profits and it became so boring. Wubby being hyped up and giving info on random cards is such a nice addition, love the content!
It’s a great card game and should really play yourself .
He has his degen moments, but for runs new to the channel he takes his time reading the cards

unsets was also used to preview up coming card mechanics. look at unhinged's "Rocket-Powered Turbo Slug". its basically the first PACT card. i know this set has " The Cheese Stands Alone " and that's "Barren Glory".

I had this whole set in a binder when it was new, I loved it so much even though it was goofy even back in the day. At some point through growing up and moving and life, I lost it. This was such a great nostalgia trip and I appreciate you for opening stuff like this for the love of the cards and to share it with all of us.

My buddy was obsessed with this set when it came out. He was the only dude to ever buy packs at the shops in our area.

I loved this set as a kid. Chaos Confetti, and The Cheese Stands Alone were my faves. I have a cheese, I wish I still had those cards!

The fact that the 'chaos confetti' is a result of the ruling over ripping up a chaos orb in play is my favorite thing about this set
I opened one of these when I was little, I got the whole set out of a box and I was able to hang on to it after all these years!
This set was so fun, creative, and amazing. Look at the last garbage "Un" set they released that was terrible, somehow screwed up eternal formats, and seemed about as fun and creative as a literal rock on anti-depressants.
The lands from this and the next Un-set are amazing. The ones from the following set are the only Basic lands I use in Arena because they are, in fact, THE most classy lands.

For a really fun UN drafting, I strongly recommend Unstable. It’s the first of the un sets that had serious play testing. It’s a great time and you have the opportunity to spontaneously create a one sided two headed giant game and then cheating Shaharazad into the game while your opponent is playing with 4 decks.
Sorry, did I hear that correctly? People are willing to buy up unsets to just have the sealed box and regardless of the EV? That they are willing to pay more and more (ensuring a negative return).
I assumed people bought sealed product cause the chance of getting a chase card was ‘worth‘ buying several boxes.
For any newer magic players: it's widely accepted that silver bordered cards are fine to play in commander. Unlike sanctioned modern or vintage events, the only thing stopping you from playing un cards in commander is text on a website. If your playgroup is cool with it, run that shit

I miss those expert advance and starter stamps. Completely useless but I loved them. This is such a fun and goofy set. Unstable is another favorite. It feels like un-sets alternate being amazing and meh. We're due for a banger whenever they return.
The un- sets really are what made me love magic the gathering

My three favorite un commanders are jodah so you can cast your spells or spike tournemts grinder so you can cast 15 mana emrakul

Wubby I don’t know if you know there are different foiling in Japanese set boosters and collector boosters. The set booster foils have a higher premium cause the foiling is cleaner and not that rainbow shiny. Also the stamp is fhighljghted more in Japanese set boosters.
Wubby I love seeing you open interesting sets with history not just the valuable ones.
