Our world is really in a crisis of water. For that we must be aware about it. If we use 1% fresh drinking water then it will be a big problem for us. This video is really informative and after watching this video people can realise about the crisis of water and become aware in my opinion!

I always test myself on how much water I can live with weekly. Its a amazing how much water just to clean clothes, wash yourself and cook food with. Then there is drinking water. Water is something I never take for granted but see so many brushing their teeth and leave the tap on. It makes me crazy.

This is so sad. While they have to drink bacteria infested water to survive, I could literally just walk to my bathroom and get some water. A lot of people around the world take this privilege for granted, including me. It would probably be a safe bet that these children have never seen a clear bottle of water. And that breaks my heart. These countries will be in my prayers.

the sad thing is we humans have been taught how smart we are , and can fix anything, i live is ruidoso new mexico at 6500 feet. altho in the mountains it's still a desert. water is scarce here. the powers that be charge everyone $125.00 a month plus what water you use. it was designed to stop people from moving from up north and planting grass in their yard. no native has grass here. it's a good idea but some people still don't understand that there's only so much water around. i can see a day when super tankers carry water instead of oil. when the great lakes are being sucked dry for profit. i can also imaging the coming boarder wall with mexico being the only way to stop millions of thristy mexicans from over running america seeking food and water. non of these things entered my mind 40 yrs ago but seem possible now.it's seems hopeless when i try to reduce my water use while watching someone down the street set up sprinklers and was their cars daily. like most things it'll take a disaster to get peoples attention, but by then it's to late im afraid.

Would it be insensitive to suggest that they simply live closer to the water? That would solve much of the transportation issue. As far as the cleanliness of the water; sand filters and boiling would be simple and effective means of making the water safe to drink.
Here's the thing its not that we don't have as much water as we need its that a lot of contrarys just can't afford to run a water filtering factors that cleans out the water.

Afaik, boiling water isn't that effective. While it does kill most contaminating organisms they can still leave behind their toxins. Boiling it in most cases does significantly lower your chances of ingesting parasites, viruses or bacteria, but on the other hand it can release more of the toxic debris left by the contaminates.

For Global Water Shortages.
Any life form has many
essential requirements for life to continue, one of the most
essential is access to clean drinking water. Man as well as all
animals will parish if they go without water for more then several
days. Human civilization depends on many commodities to continue
growth and provide energy to society, commodities such oil and
natural gas. Human life does not need oil or natural gas for
continued survival, fresh water is something any form of life cannot
go without for very long. In many countries; even within the south
western United States are depleting water resources; some predictions
estimate that within the coming decades there will fresh water
shortages in many areas. Some people suggest that fresh water should
be a commodity; that something that is necessary for life to continue
can be bought, sold and owned. Some argue that something so essential
to life should be a right and not commodity privately owned. If it
where turned into something which is bought and owned, some countries
would be awash with a resource which will be highly valued. Perhaps
something humanity cannot live without should be kept cheap and made
easily available to all. Should such necessary things be controlled
by those that think the pursuit of economic profit trumps all other
ideals. But it seems that will be exactly what happens.

A good project for the next few decades would be to find a cost effective way to desalinate sea water. Why not try to get wealthy philanthropists to offer a billion dollar prize to anyone who can do this? (By "cost effective" I mean competitive with the watershed in temperate climates.)

Problem solved use this to purify sea water or sewage Cold Steam the efficient way to use the sun geothermal composting rocket stoves any heat source to produce electricity and or distilled water explained from basic concept to employment. Water boils in a vacuum at 75 F or 24 C
Two open containers one full of water the other empty connect them at the bottom and water will reach an equilibrium 50 50. If one is sealed except for the connection the other will remain empty because of the vacuum created in the sealed container.
Gravity will overcome this vacuum if the containers are taller than 34 feet.
If the tanks are 40 feet tall the tanks will reach an equilibrium of water levels at 34 feet leaving six feet of hard vacuum in the sealed tank. This makes a vacuum pump set we need two of them if we were going to distill water as the cold side open tank is used to collect the distilled water from it as the continuous input of water needs to go somewhere.
Each sealed tank has four valves three at the top two of those on opposite sides (B&C) one at the very top (D) one at the bottom on the side (A), water-based vacuum pump operations are, Close bottom tank valve A and top tank valve C. Open top tank valve D. Fill sealed tank through top side valve B. Close valve B and D when full. Open bottom valve A.
This primes the system to let the warm water in that will vaporize and run through the system when you partially reopen valve B (to control flow rate) and open valve C to its fullest.
For only power generation need one pump set and one vacuum tank so we can have a Hot side and a Cold side one to boil the water and one to have the low pressure/vacuum to draw the steam in through the turbine then the cooling coils then to the tank.
At the bottom of the cold side, tank is a return pipe with the one way valve to the heat source the one-way valve prevents expansion back to the cold side and as the hot side vacuum chamber is the only outlet for the expanding water and it is drawn by the vacuum the cycle proceeds.
You can combine the two and get power generation and distilled water keeping the return line from the power generation system will let you switch if you don't need distilled water on a continuous basis in large quantities.
I am going to make one feel free to make one as well it is open source.
