Great job. More companies should make video instructions like this. For those that already have the first set delivered, I would love to hear some feedback on overall assembly and operation so those of us that get the next set have some insight on what to expect.
This is awesome and a ton of effort clearly went into it. One small thing I noticed is the ball bearing solution for the Z wobble... I came up with a similar design awhile back for a large FDM machine and underestimated how quickly the contact surface can wear down. I had to use printed parts so the balls were resting on the magnets directly but sealed with grease to try mitigating this. Your metal plate (presumably aluminum) will be better but allowing the 4 balls to rest on a lower friction material, guide pins (or possibly chamfered edges?) instead of the flat plane might work better in the long run. Just my two cents, thanks again for all this!
Thank you! As for the z-wobble solution. I use one trick - all the weight/forces doesn't go through the balls, but through the long screws that are there. So the contact surfaces are loaded minimally and it doesn't matter what load is acutely in the chambers.
