We're spending the weekend in Maine right now, near Boothbay. Driveway camping with family. We've been on a great hike, had the requisite lobstah rolls, and tomorrow we'll have some grilled oysters. Wish we had more time to spend, and see some of your favorite places! If you ever want to venture farther, check out Moosehead Lake. Spectacular! Enjoy your trip!

So glad to hear you enjoyed Boothbay! We really enjoyed downtown Belfast. We’ve been there a couple times.
And if you haven't already tried Youngs Lobster Pound in Belfast it's a great spot on the water. Bring your own drinks and any sides or desserts (if you prefer), grab one of the picnic tables, and wah lah.... an amazing fresh Maine lobster feed 🦞 and a fun hard working staff makes it memorable. It's a place we bring our friends/family when they are in town.

I've been up there on a motorcycle. visited Kenebunkport, but didn't actually stay in Maine. I need to take a return trip to spend more time in that area. Thanks for the ideas on where to stay.

Yep, do Bar Harbor/Acadia off-peak. Otherwise, it’s a hornets nest! 😂 my wife and I go back every ten years. Honeymooned in BH July 1989.

Your trip sounds divine! This trip will have to wait until I retire since I'm on the west coast, and it'll take me a bit to work my way over there!

How far in advance did you have to make all your Maine reservations?
We booked back in March for this upcoming trip.
Google Red's Eats, voted many times for the best Lobster roll in ME!
It's not cheap, but it took me 2 days to eat the whole thing.
We are heading to Maine as well. When will you be there?
We will be up that way from mid June until the 1st week of July.
