I LOVE this video! I could watch you paint for hours. Wish you weren't so hard on yourself, though. The negative self talk really spoils the experience and isn't good for your process. You are talented. Own it!

Well... this was one of my very first videos. I was still very new to showing my artwork in public xD I'm trying to get over my insecurities
Your style is very nice, and it is interesting to hear you talking about the process. I'm really looking forward to future uploads!

MsWiets I had a lot of fun talking about my painting. Usually nobody can follow my ramble, so it's really nice to know that I can reach people that will understand it
Watching your angst as you work your way through this beautiful painting makes me realize there might be some hope for me. Thank you. It was lovely to watch.

+Paul & Carla Chapman I'm very glad you've liked it :)
I really like your videos. Not editting a lot or cutting the parts that you work on the details is good for me because I learn many things from those parts as well. It is also comforting to see your struggles as well because I know that with watercolor it is impossible to work perfectly :)) So you give many ideas for correcting the mistakes or leaving the mass as it is :)) Thank you for sharing this beautiful art piece.

Since I've learned primarily from youtube videos, I've always wanted to somehow repay for that knowledge. Your comment tells me I'm heading in the right direction. Thank you for the encouragement :)
Beautiful. Detail work takes so much patience. And for it to work out at the end was awesome to see. great use of the uniball signo white, the best white gel pen around. Lovely video
9 ปีที่แล้ว
+Santosh Sharma That pen is amazing! Thanks for the compliment :)
I laughed when you said it's not really something you think about, the amount of color when you mix and I'm just like that! I love the end result though. So beautiful!
Anita, you are truly an AMAZING artist. Love your style. Thank you so much for sharing your process....and you do not ramble :D

Oh, I do ramble. This one was still one of the "tamer" videos. The more I've recorded, the more I've realized that nobody minded and the more I've rambled :D Thank you for watching
Anita, thank you for the beautiful illustration, video, your lovely spirit about the process and a jolt of inspiration! I hope to see more of your work.

+Nadej Giroux You're so very welcome! I'm always so happy when I hear that my viewers feel inspired after watching the video! I will try my best to create a lot!
Oh, very inspired! I especially like the parts where things go wrong and you wonder if you can fix it and you just keep working. Those are good reminders to enjoy and learn from the process, rather than focus on imagined perfection. :) You are wonderful.
didn't work?! are you kidding me?! this is absolutely gorgeous! you have my subscription.

+what blank? Thank you so much! It did work out in the end, but I had my heart skip a beat in a few moments when things didn't go exactly as planned. The thrills of painting :P
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this video. Mistakes and all. It helped me to see if someone as amazing as you can doubt yourself and make mistakes them maybe it's not so bad if I do too. ;) I also liked this so much more than a tutorial because it just explained your thought process and why you did things a certain way and it made so much sense. It was so amazing! Thank you thank you!

I just found your Channel, and it was very informative, also fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your talent here on TH-cam. I love to watercolour, and learn from other artists as yourself. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you for sharing your process!! I adore the way this turned out with the rain effect. I can relate to the frustration when the paint dosent do exactly what you want. I have a hard time finishing art because of this, but seeing it come together so nicely even though a tough spot is so encouraging. Keep these speed painting videos coming!!! You helped motivate me. 😁

I've learned through all those pieces that most of the time the tiny mistakes are easy to correct. I think in the past year I've had only one instance where I had to completely start over :) I'm glad this motivates you
Just beautiful! I loved watching the entire process from start to finish and loved hearing about your "mistakes" which, in my opinion, were "happy accidents" that enabled the final, perfect painting. I will subscribe to your channel to hopefully see more of your process. So inspiring! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with the world.

+Merilee Denner Thank you so much for all the kind words and subscription! I'm posting two videos a week nowadays, so there's plenty more to watch
Beatiful Picture! I loved it. I kinda wanted to see you peeling off the tame hahaha. That's always my favorite part when I'm done with a picturel. Seeing the white emerge in that straight frame.
7 ปีที่แล้ว +1
I didn't realize that so many people like to see the tape getting peeled! I will definitely include it in more videos from now on :)
I saw you did it in the bears picture. I quite enjoyed it hahaha. I really like yor style. Feel free to check my page: www.patreon.ceom/artcervillustrate
You can always use pastel pencils to highlight certain areas with a lighter color, and cover up small areas if you make a glaring mistake!
9 ปีที่แล้ว +2
You're right! Thank you for the tip. Soft pastels used to be my favorite medium to layer on top of watercolors but I've forsaken them to cut the time needed for painting. I can't believe I forgot about them, though xD
Thank you very much for uploading this. I really learn a lot from you. Please make more of this! I would be interested in your drawing techniques, too. You paintings look very refreshing and cute :-)

This was probably the best video. I feel like you've simplified your art a lot (maybe due to making and editing videos). There's not as much detail as it used to have, which I enjoyed watching. Hopefully you'll find time to make one like this again. :0)

+WilyLioness7 You're absolutely right and I hope that I can change it next year. This is something that comes from making a new illustration video each week. There's just no time for all the details. Perhaps if I didn't have to earn my living it would be a different story, but yeah... we all need to eat :D My mind is struggling every time with trying to make my ideas simpler, else there would be no time for sleeping.
your artworks are so pretty and i enjoy how you create the background! the flower with green and blue rain, this i really eye catching and your video with your voice really make me feel comfortable~ how long did you draw this? so cool^^

What a fantastic painting! Four hours is a very short time.
I love this watercolor illustration ! The white pencil for rain is the perfect way drawing, i will use a pencil like that !
+Ffye Hc Yes, it's much easier than using a brush. Why make your painting process more difficult than it already is, right? :) Good luck!
So beautiful and like a fairytale dream. Thanks so much for sharing. Your watercoloring is lovely. You have nothing to worry about there.

Your work is so beautiful. Could you tell me more about the gel pens? Is it just white and grey you use, or different colors? Are they waterproof?
