We've had the Shadowtrooper armor kit from Anovos completed since last year, but one addition kit that we wanted to build was the helmet. Over the course of a day, Frank and Norm tackle the helmet build, showing you how to clean up the vacuum-formed parts and put them together. With only four plastic pieces, this is a great place to start on your own Stormtrooper kit!

The right ear piece on the shadow trooper bucket doesn't seem to be married up to the helmet like it should be - there's a spacious gap...

Use flour to hilight cutting crevice. Static will keep it in the grooves and it wipes right off after cutting.
The original white stormtrooper is my favourite.

Those earpieces are placed weird? there is space between the piece and bucket itself.
I thought that to... The original helmets rarely had that problem (and if did) weren't spaced more than about 3-4mm This on the other hand, is what? a inch away? i think Norm might have cut it out. Knowing norm, he sucks at workshop projects
I can't but help notice, that they have the wrong type of screws to hold the ears.
Also...am i the only one that fucking hates norm? He talks like he everybody doesn't know whats happening, it's irritating. I can't stand his simplistic way of talk. "What hold the ears" I dunno...maybe the screws we could clearly see? Or the fact that you helped out with the project.... Fucking hell Norm
Fagdalf The Gay Hey we seem to cross paths alot! About Norm, maybe thats his way of letting the viewers know about how things work, asking so that the expert will answer it for us. (there is probably a name for this kind of reporting/interviewing) Other than that I don't hate him really.

lol I made this kit with a regular trooper with an exacto blade, scissors, and sandpaper in 2 days. Been tweaking it endlessly since then, but damn, weeks and months on this is a little long unless you only spend 5 minutes on it at a time

I think Anovos also sell a pre-assembled kit as well.
The pre-assembled ones are poorly done if you look at the Promo pics, the ears are mismatched, and have spaces.
Plus, their team is a quantity>quality. A lot of people have already had a lot of problems with the TFA helmet being poorly assembled
wow that sucks, because they're pretty expensive.
I was wondering if I could fit this to the outside of a motorcycle helmet?
cool video, i love the whole workshop feel with Tested. But am i seeing things ? the lighting differs so in some shots Frank is wearing Blue and in others Purple. is that like a 'White' light vs 'Yellow' light ? or am i just mad ? Cheers !

This is the perfect bunch to design storm-trooper armor that works. AFAIK they're good for enemy disguise and victory drums for small furry animals with sticks. :)

+Wyatt Medley there are better kits around - i strongly suspect that this is an advert/sponsored - which seems to be the way tested is going - its really sad to see good products getting ignored and then other companies getting a lot of coverage - its just advertising dressed up as a review or guide- it was the same with the airbrushing videos it was just a free advert for Iwata- who sell overpriced airbruushes
+captainkavi exactly, and I rather pay more to a person who can make them with but higher quality material. This armor seems like it would crack easy. also that a symmetrical stuff, what a load of shit. Who wants a helmet thats not symmetrical unless it's an original.
+Wyatt Medley I think it's nice they went down the path of making it look as 'polished' ANH helmets. There are loads of styles of helmets so I guess it's down to your preference, personally I like the asymmetry of the ANH helmets.
+captainkavi Just an FYI, if this was a paid promotion/advert they would have said so in the video or the description. They are legally required to do so.
fanis141414 You are incorrect - they are not obliged to say anything as we have discovered in previous sponsored video's when Tested has failed to mention that they weren't real reviews- i assumed the same thing but its not the case- This is why people are asking for clarification in their video comments now on a regular basis - - Previously they have come into comments section to confirm that some of the video's are in fact sponsored -= they have stopped recently - i am assuming that because it was bad press for them- Sad but true- the power of extra profit end up over powering independent and unbiased reviews- - if you look back over Testeds history you will see that they heavily favour certain brands over others regardless of the competitons merits- (DGI drones /Ultimaker printers/ Iwata airbrushes etc etc etc) sad but true i am sorry to burst your bubble

i am confused. i was almost going to get one but it looks like i would pay $1,000+ for the same quality as the $3 things at Walmart for costumes. actually the Walmart things are better as they are vacuum mold and colored and no trimming. and worse is its like $3-6,000 for the same thing just trimed for you... is there any way to get a storm trooper sute with out selling your house for a Walmart costume? like thick PVC or foam or something? or make the $10 of plastic more affordable? i feel it would be cheaper to... idea, can you make a vidio ware you try to 3D print a set of storm trooper armor?

why did they copy the asymmetrical from the original when there is no original Shadowtrooper
there are no scenes with shadow trooper in the movies but they are rather often used in the exstended universe so they might got some referenceses from there

+metanulski So the manufacturer wouldn't have to make two molds because molds are really expensive. If they make the Stormtrooper with the "original" asymmetry, then they can just reuse the molds for the shadowtroooper and print the pieces in black plastic instead of white.
Yes there is. there is a few seconds in the scene in a new hope when the troopers brake through the wall in the cell block when you can see one. Unless it's just smoke or funny lighting then yes there where.
