I’ve been using the Kokuyo and I love it. So versatile for different sizes of notebooks and lots of space for extra papers. Very professional looking. Love it

Thank you so much for the video. This was so helpful to decide between the two. I ended up with a olive green A5 Lihit for my hobonichi and very happy that I got an orange one as well for my other A5 note. Strange thing is that I was almost sure I would like the Kokuyo better but once I had them in my hand, I somehow liked Lihit better. Never know...
I'm sure you found out by now by now but with Lihit, even if you put a notebook from the left side opening, you could flip the elastic band over to the front without being twisted. And once closed, i was able to put elastic over the whole thing.

I´m glad you found the video useful. I still use both covers as they are super convenient to use.

I have the Lihit and to have 2 notebooks you just move the elastic to the front of the cover when opened

Thank you! Been debating over these two. Cool alternatives to Traveler's Notebooks (which are also awesome). The olive green color and front pocket (looks great for phone or highlighters) had me wanting to pick the Lihit Lab, but this video, and trying to visualize actually writing in it, made me appreciate functions and details of the Kokoyu as being I think the better choice for actual use especially for someone who like me wants to use 3 inserts. Though could use elastic to attach another insert, Traveler's Notebook style. Honestly it's hard to tell without me actually trying both and a concern for both is if it'd be bumpy writing if stuff was in the little pockets. I wish both came in more color choices. Maybe I could put fabric paint or a big fabric patch, pin, or pretty piece of fabric on the outside. Good point about how it's nice to not look at the back covers of inserts.

Watching this video made me like the Kokuyo Systemic more. Simply because of the flat front and the front facing elastic. The pockets are an added bonus for it.
I don't like it when covers have folded(?) pockets in the front because it makes it look bulky and uneven. I like the elastic being front facing because it wouldn't have that awkward position.
The flat pockets(?) in the kokuyo would also be more suited to me. I can keep my folded important A4 papers (We use A sizes where I'm from) in the front. and scratch papers at the back.
Overall, I think that the kokuyo is better for me. It is functional and suits my needs. Also, it looks neat and flat.

I wanted to like the Lihit Lab but like you, I think the Kokuyo Systemic looks better -- sleeker and classier. :)

Your demonstration was so helpful! I ended up getting a Lihit for my Hobonichi cousin avec. TFS!

This video is incredible! I was so surprised to find this video comparing the exact two covers I was researching. If you have a chance, I’d like to know how well the covers work as a writing surface? I switched from a hardcover notebook to the Cousin Avec, and it’s a lot harder to write on anywhere other than a flat surface. I write in bed and on the couch a lot. Thank you for the video!

The Kokuyo Systemic works better as a writing surface as it can lay completely flat.

I love Lihit Lab covers. I own 3 two large ones that hold composition notebook and the a5 size. I am waiting for another a5 one, this time in black.

Thanks, I have been considering this, but i have a custom designed cover for my JT, and wanted to make sure i could still see both sides of the cover i had made. Kokuyo paper is a dream to write on, and have bought a binder, and filler paper just for the texture. Where did you get the binder cases?

Do you think the olive colored one would fit a sterling ink thick planner?

Don´t know how thick is the Sterling Ink planner, but, it fits a Moleskine expanded and a Hobonichi full year planner.

Could you fit a hardcover Leuchtturm A5 journal in the Kokuyu cover? Maybe two? Thanks

    • @yngrideilis2696
      @yngrideilis2696  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, you can fit one Leughtturm A5 hardcover journal. But not two. If you want to have another notebook with an A5 journal, the second notebook will have to be an A5 slim. Otherwise, the spines of the books clash with each other.

The Lihit Lab Smart fit look's like a school kid's notebook. It is by far too bulky. the other one is sleek, refined and shows a much different character. Plus the Kokuyo is much more user-friendly. I love Lihit lab and have some of their products, but this one is a pass.
