    Yay! I'm glad you're enjoying this cover as much as I am. Thanks so much for the link as well.
    I'm excited to move my 2019 Jibun Techo Biz into the Kokuyo, and I'm pairing it with a Stalogy 365 for journaling. I'll post lots of reactions as I test this idea.
    Will I miss my Hobonichi too much? Ahh! So many choices.

    Just got my Kokuyo Systemic cover yesterday, and - to someone who would understand - yes, I set it up on Christmas Eve. So?????!!!! ;). Mine doesn't have a smell, and it's the same version you have, but in navy blue. I do like the variety of how I can "stack" my ever-growing a5 collection. So far I'm going with my full-year Hobonichi, and my Jibun Techo, with the Jibun on the left, similarly to one of the ways you showed. Thanks so much for a really comprehensive video, I love the details you put in. Happy Holidays!!

    I agree with you about the size. Some of the covers are created huge and that is what takes up the room I have noticed.

    I have this in A5 navy and A6 black. A5 is for work and A6 is for my purse. I have A6 canvas brand undated calendar in A6 and will be purchasing the monthly and weekly books for the A5 for work. Love them both!

    Thank you for sharing your comparison. I’ve always wondered what would work in those covers. It’s probably because I have A5s that aren’t consistent in size. Now I know 😁! Take care and have fun 🤗💗!

    Thanks for the review. I've been looking for an affordable cover for my Midori MD notebook. I wasn't sure how this cover would work. Awesome.

    Such a thorough, clear, helpful review! Been researching vegan traveler's journal options a lot for improving my bullet journal set-up (from super lame and wrong-sized - yet cheap - taped-together Dollar Tree notebooks) and it led me here. Looks like finding inserts/notebooks for whichever cover I pick will be a whole other research project haha but reviews like this really help! Thanks for the pen test too...those are some of the pens I've been considering, having never bought nice ones. Though I kinda only want dotted paper. Even though it's a lot of work researching options I know it'll feel like a wonderful Christmas present to get my new bujo tn set-up, complete with quality pens!

    Very helpful!! Thank you for the video and this thoroughness. I have been going back and forth between a La Vert Cover and a Lochby Field Journal for my new Hobonichi Cousin and I wasn't really feeling inspired by either of them. I found this on Amazon and I really wanted to know more and this video was very helpful! I love this cover it has everything that I want. The strap, the loop, the bookmarks and extra space for another notebook! so great

    If the Jibun Techo would add daily pages it would be me go to planner. Also the dollar store has frosted cutting boards that are great for writing boards.

    Is it possible to flip it 360 degrees with the PU leather, or will it break? Would like to do this for taking notes during lectures.

    It's very easy to neatly remove the bookmarks that come with the all-canvas version. Also, the elastic that comes with it are black. I remove the spiral notebook and use it for other stuff - the paper is much better than standard US spiral notebook paper. The Kokuyo is so wonderfully hackable ;) Perfect for the Cousin Avec with room for lots of stuffing ;) BTW you can find the Kokuyo Systemic on eBay for $12 sometimes!

    Looks quite cool. My biggest worry is how well you can write on those notepads because your arm will have to be on top of a pile of other ones..

    I always enjoy your full explanations & thoroughness of the products you share. I have the full canvas one. Someone shared it on TH-cam about a year ago and now I cant find her video! I did check out the videos you mentioned and Miranda_Plans is new to me. I enjoyed her channel & subscribed. I like this cover. The only thing negative thing I have to say is after using the strap for a while, the strap starts to pull up/mold the inside plastic (the one that holds the notebook it comes with). It doesn’t smell and it came with only 2 ribbons. I kept laughing when you mentioned the ribbons. It bothers me too! Scissors are calling my name! Thanks for sharing! Have a great Thanksgiving! Joy2Plan ✨❤️✨

    Nice review. I have one of these in the plain canvas A5 size. It has become my goto cover for the A5 notebooks that I use to take notes at seminars. The cover is extremely lightweight and is a perfect fit for my tomoe river paper notebooks. The pen loop holds my retro 51 Tornado snugly. The pockets in the middle hold business cards and quarter flyers. I have often considered getting the leather one. Do you feel it is heavier than the plain canvas one? The canvas one is still in great shape even with constant use for the past five or six years, but the leather might be a tad more professional looking.

    I think the "B" on the notebook cover refers to line spacing. "A" is 7mm ruling and "B" is 6mm ruling. I'm personally a fan of Kokuyo 6mm ruled notebooks. BTW I only recently discovered your channel and am very much enjoying your videos.

    • @SylviaWithAPlan
      @SylviaWithAPlan  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2boysmom Was Yes! If you got the same one I have, you can just add two holes to the bottom and use the eyelets/grommets that are already there! I would suggest using eyelets to keep from fraying in the new holes you make🙂

    How has your experience been with using this cover for hardcover notebooks? Looks like the plastic sleeves would probably irreversibly bend close to their seams. Do you have a recommendation for something like this that could hold multiple hardcover A5 notebooks?

    • @SylviaWithAPlan
      @SylviaWithAPlan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Consistently Christy I love the Nanami notebooks. One of my pet peeve‘s with the Hobonichi’s is the extra writing on the pages. I like to use the whole page. I’m finishing up a B6 slim (planner/journal) and I already have Jan 2019 all preplanned in the A5 Studio. The price is also much cheaper, lots of pages & quick delivery. Have a great day! Joy2Plan 🤗
