No need to drain the oil when installing the GB Racing cover protectors. They bolt right over the OEM cover, pretty simple bolt on and they supply good instructions. - Van
Hey Brian, I am about to have GSXR1000R 2020, and I look for that protective parts some sites just mention the fitment is for 2017-2019, and what I know the parts should also fit 2020 models, not sure if they are not updated their data or it really there is a different, your advise please
I just sent a text to the dude who owns the now factory Suzuki Superbike MotoAmerica Team and he said the 2017-2019 parts will fit the 2020 as well. Enjoy the new bike, you made a great choice I love my GSXR1000! - Van
These have changed a bit since 2018 apparently. I just installed a set on my 2023 GSX-R1000 and the smaller cover on the right side only has three bolts and calls for putting the OEM sealing washer in between the case cover and the case. Just thought I'd add for anyone installing on a newer model.
Your videos are amazing. Thanks for all sharing.
What are the tank grip you are using in this gsxr?

How are they compared to the woodcraft covers?
I have used and crashed with both, IMO they both get the job done and I am comfortable using either one of them. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear thanks for answering my question! Now it’s tough because I can’t decide which one I want😂
Should you be putting loctite on any of these?
No, you should not put any thread locker on these fasteners. - Van
do you use the same screws or some longer??
These covers are supplied with all the hardware you need to complete the install. - Van
Will these engine covers make the bike run hotter in summer? Thanks
These will not increase the operating temp of the bike IMO. - Van
Bro before installing engine cover you take out all engine oil or not?

Thanks for sharing the update. From time to time GB will redesign the covers if they feel they can improve them. - Van
You should put a cover on the water pump
I do not think those get dinged in a crash. - Van
What is the name of that t-handle your using? Its bad ass.

I prefer the Woodcraft
We have used both the Woodcraft and GB protectors on multiple bikes over the years. Both are excellent products for sure. - Van
