    If you have a passion for IT, this specialization course will excite you for sure. And the way Victor Escobedo teaches is 2nd to no one. I enjoyed it a lot.

      All of the classes I’ve taken from google (e-commerce and the tech support specializations) were surprisingly top notch. The instructors were all engaging and relatable and that made a difference

    This guy was definitely my favorite out of the instructors. It's like he's trying his best to keep you calm while talking about some of the most boring things about it like networks. very technical and at times fascinating but my head hurts lol

    There is an error in this table 00:05:58 : the Protocol Data Unit for layer 4 should be 'Segment / Datagram'. Because the correct terminology is TCP segment and UDP datagram. UDP is a datagram (hence the name UDP - User Datagram Protocol). TCP is a segment because it uses segmentation, while UDP does not.

    - a single node (device/host) can run multiple client or server applications e.g web browser and email
    - Transport layer sorts out which client or server programs/applications on one node are supposed to get what data
    Application layer has numerous protocols running it it
    - modulation/line coding

      @@Nkosimano which one is better?. Coursera or these TH-cam videos ?

    • @Nkosimano

      @@luciosantos6659 While Coursera is generally a superior choice, but this particular lecturer merely resorted to reading from the material. Since I rely on concept mapping as my learning strategy, I found it challenging to establish connections between the key points.

    It is hard to understand this for someone who just started this course man: "Any frame with a VLAN tag will only be delivered out of a switch interface configured to relay that specific tag". This is just an example. Please use more common words and help people grasp the concept. Thanks this content is good could be much better that way.

      coursera has an ai coach that makes what he is saying more simple. very helpful I could not live without it

    • @thomasbravado
      @thomasbravado 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It means that if a VLAN tag is present in the data frame, the switch will only send that data frame out if it has been configured to send out data frames with that specific VLAN tag. If not, it will ignore that data instead of sending it out.
