Fun Fact: There are technically two 'games' before this you could theoretically argue were the first spin-off game, but both are debatable. The first was a Picross level set downloadable via the Satelliaview in late 1997/early 1998. It was more of a level pack and demo promotion then a full game, it's lost media, but it exists. The other was the Pokemon Pikachu Tamagotchi device, which released in early 1998. This could be considered a self contained game or a toy, depends on how you look at it. It was intended to compete with the Digimon V-pets from 1997.
Never played this, only the regular 1 and 2 in the West. The animations in the Stadium games are still better than some of the recent Pokémon games. Game Freak really needs to do better in that regard.
I have this game, played it a long time ago, file has some registered Pokémon from gameboy so that’s cool. This game should on Japan nso maybe dropped with stadium 2 just to pay homage to its history, especially since this is the game that started it all. Just to add to the stadium collection. I’m playing through pocket monsters stadium 2 and sometimes it’s harder then the international version I must say

10:23 all the stadium games have a feature where if pokemon have certain nicknames combined with trainer IDs they'll be different colors
It's a product of its time.

If you're using emulation why didn't you transfer a team of yours into the stadium game ?!
Here’s what I was looking for
Yeah, I think I'll skip this game. Never could beat regular Stadium.
