- Come waste a good part of 40 minutes while I do a full build breakdown on my budget built, rough and ready, 1995 Ford EF Fairmont Turbo 4 litre 6 banger!

@Late-Night-Nate yeah bro looks aggressive az haha I've got leaf springs in the rear with blocks and rubs hard but but have another set of leafs which I plan on taking to archers in rotorua to get them to add a leaf and stiffen it up. You wouldn't happen to have any manual set ups for a e series or barra? Cheers

Haven't got any manual conversion for an E-series yet. I've got 99% of an AU manual conversion (missing driveshaft) but holding onto that for a future AU build hopefully hahaha

would look sick with side and rear bodykit, also i think the front grill takes away from how good the front bodykit looks.
Definitely! Should all tie in nicely once the rest of the kit is sorted. As for the grill, i have a few different options from the standard EF/EL fairmont grills, as well as the Fairlane and LTD variants, so might swap them around from time to time and see which one suits best maybe
Listen to me, you need a GTR rearbumper to mesh with front. You need to buy a cheap ebay one and cut and fit it to the EF original bar. It will tie it all together with the xr rails. It will flow. Im telling you man.
You might be onto something there! I will have a look around and see what we can come up with. It definitely needs something on the rear to match the front and the side skirts im planning to run so hopefully there is something out there i can make work👍🏻

V8 swap could definitely be on the cards in the future if the turbo 6 starts becoming boring 😅. Always wanted a high-comp N/A 363 windsor stroker with a T56 behind it, but the bank acc balance always says, 'no' hahaha

Love the idea of the au seats, was thinking about getting the valour au Fairmont seats for my el is it difficult to make them work?
@zacroyle7816 actually, it's surprisingly straight forward to do. Front seats are easy. Just keep the original EL base and rails and swap the foam and fabric over (it just unclips from around the base). The upright part of the seat has 2x bolts on each side which mount it to the base, so you can unbolt those and swap the AU uprights over and that's more or less job done.
The rear seat is a little more work, but still easy enough if you have the tools and patience. The AU fold-down uprights just bolts straight in like the EL uprights do, the main difference is they don't use the locking pin from the side bolster to locate - look on the AU and you'll see they have a little loop type bracket that the uprights lock in over. You will need to modify the EL body to mount these brackets and space them out to allow the seats to lock in. The AU side bolsters locate differently also. They still bolt in down the bottom like the EL does, but you will need to make some sort of pin sitting horizontally on the back side of the top part of the bolster to locate into the EL locating bracket. Hard to explain, but when you see the difference between the 2x, you'll know.
The rear seat base itself clips in completely different between EL and AU, so you will need the little plastic floor pan inserts from the AU to make this work. I usually just sit the base in there and roughly mark the area on the floor where the AU mounting brackets would likely rest. You'll then need to drill the floor and use a punch to create an oval shape for the AU floor pan inserts to fit into, then the AU seat should just drop right in and the seat and inserts should just clip together. Hope that makes sense!

Just keep in mind, the higher stall RPM can cause the stock ecu to go into Limp mode (ecu thinks the trans is slipping excessively) so you will either need a J3 chip or flash tune to increase the limp mode stall RPM or use one of the Hi-stall Limp mode bypass modules that Shiftkits.com.au sells

It's a fiberglass bumper made by Aerotech here in NZ. Basically a mash-up of EF/EL Fairmont with the Nissan R32 GTR style

Appreciate this comment!💯💯. Stretched tyres always involves that risk of de-beading and putting stress on tyre sidewalls. I myself with a few others in my circle have similar wheel/tyre combos and never had an issue, but that's not to say it can't happen. RIP Oleg🙏🏻🙏🏻
