Can you imagine a middle-class family being openly looted by a reputed and renowned corporate group like ICICI??
If you think it is safe to blindly trust employees of a well-known and well-regarded bank, then you must watch this video to find out how this family's deposits worth Rs. 80-85 lakhs have been forfeited by the ICICI group.
If you think that these clients signed the proposal forms for insurance policies and that therefore they only are to blame for the fiasco then you need to understand that an insurance company’s primary task is to underwrite the risk cover being sought by a prospective client. That is, the insurance company needs to satisfy itself if the prospective client is in a position to continue paying premiums regularly and if the risk cover being sought is as per the needs and requirements of the customer or not. This is done by way of verifying various declarations made in the insurance proposal form and the Agent Confidential report signed and submitted by the agent along with the proposal forms.
Also as per the Guidelines on Anti Money Laundering program for Insurers issued by IRDAI, the insurance company is mandated to ensure that the insurance being purchased by a customer is reasonable (i.e. as per the needs and requirements of the customer). Accordingly, the customer’s source of funds, his estimated net worth, etc., should be documented properly and the advisor and/or employee should obtain income proofs, to establish the customer’s need for insurance cover. Also, the requirement of exercising detailed due diligence for all customers paying premiums higher than 1 lakh per annum by the insurer is clearly and specifically mentioned in AML Guidelines.
The IRDA through its notifications has also mandated that all Life Insurance companies must adopt the practice of PIVC (Pre-Issuance Verification Call) to prevent mis-selling and unfair business practices and to ensure that during policy solicitation and sale stages, the prospects are fully informed and made aware of the terms and conditions of the product being sold.
Hope the regulators put their foot down and ensure effective adherence to the laid down guidelines at least by reputed and renowned corporations like ICICI.
Groups like ICICI also have a moral and ethical responsibility towards their customers and they are bound by their code of conduct policies for zero tolerance to such frauds and employees involved in such acts deserve to be severely punished.

My sister runs a small school and has an account in a public sector bank. Her employee forged her signature on a cheque for 15,000 and ran away with the money. When my sister went to the bank to complain, an employee said, "Really, this isn't your signature? Please sign right next to the forged signature on the cheque so we can compare." She trusted him and signed. Right away, he said, "Now that you've put the correct signature on the cheque, I will say that it was there originally when your employee brought it in. You have no more case against us."
Cool story bruh. That never happened. Cheque stop payment is literally one button.

I had a bad experience with this bank long back. My FD matured. I dint notice . They kept it for over a year, no refund, no interest I had to fight to get interest.

If FD matures, it will be normally credited in your savings account.
@@subinoyganguly8326 new rules was there. If not specifically marked as to be credited to Account it will start decrease after tge fd maturity. But normally most bank doesn't practice for the customer interest and continue to book as fd. This rules has to takeup at govt level most the kissan are mot aware and the new rules was not made aware to their customer by the bank which is a part of their responsibility. So one can approach Court if Fd is deducted if the Customer was not aware by the bank.

IRDAI is a big fraud , just try your luck which is as good as if you have taken 5 Rs lottery ticket and you won 5 Cr.
As an ICICI customer I must say this is a true event . I went for a small FD of 2 Lac they tried to sell me a policy but gladly am an investor so knew exactly what it was . My follow up questions made them knew I know how Debt and Equity markets work .
Got an FD done but the person sitting next to me invested 7 Lac rupees on assurance of higher return and tax cuts .

Hi Jayesh, is health insurance policies genuine or they are also part of scam? I believe when it comes to claiming money, all of sudden hidden rules get applied regarding which insurance holder have no idea and zero money is recovered. This had happed with IT professional not any regular employee.
@@Preach_and_Teach-fe3vl Honestly I believe the health insurance are only helpful for serious health conditions like cancer which has very high cost . Otherwise if you calculate for smaller bills it's better you put that installment as savings for a rainy day. Cause after your claim most likely your premium goes up which is counter productive and defeats the whole insurance purpose .

Multiple insurance policies have been sold to this family under the garb of issuing (hybrid) fixed deposits without following the norms and regulations of the regulating authorities and now the amount deposited by this family in these multiple insurance policies is under danger of getting forfeited by the insurance company because this family is not in a position to continue premium payment in these policies. The insurance company was required to verify if or not the client can make regular premium payment in policy and because the insurance company did not performed it's task properly the family is getting punished and the insurance company is being benefitted although the entire fault is of the insurance company only

This is not scam it's business model of insurance company that why no insurance company ever failed in the world. Not even greatest of recessions
Penalty is not going to deter them. Even huge fines won't discourage such practice because the overall pot is too sweet to miss out

They used to sell insurance policies in 2008. I purchased 1 ulip policy and after paying 3 years. The ulip was in loss for more than 3 years. I surrendered the policy after 6 years.
Oh My GOSH! I went to my bank of india branch today to open an FD account. Then there was a bank employee guy who tried to sell me the almost similar policy! I was suspecting of something fishy so I rejected and told him I will only invest after I do my own research.
Many ICICI employees are irresponsible, having no corporate manners, talking to clients in disgusting way. Many of them are having fraudulant nature.

My dad worked in KVG bank (Govt rural bank) for 35+ years and retired last year, they served people by informing proper rules and policies, also explained individually gov.t benefits and subsidiaries etc... In the retired speech they mentioned don't trust any PVT. bank people they tell only the advantages but not mention other side, It's our each and individual responsible to avoid any pvt. bank people, until it is necessary for us not to them
Your father must be the honest employee of that bank. Many governemnt employees do their job with honesty but overall condition of government banks is also not good. They survive because government put money in these banks called as recapitalization of banks and private banks don't have that facility.
There is a need to create strict laws for banking and finance instead of blaming private or government banks.

Retd Dy governor of RBI is appointed as part time of the bank so that complaint against the bank is taken care of at RBI.
Many unsolicited credit cards are sent and rogues and rowdies are sent to recover the amount misused on the card.
Unsolicited message is sent that loan is sanctioned or credit card is issued .
RBI should levy stiff penalty on such banks to stop this type of activities.

I had filed a PIL in Hon'ble Rajsthan High Court and later also escalated to Hon'ble Supreme Court. I had highlighted more than 100 such cases of fraud done by Icici Prudential to poor farmers, widows, senior citizens and students etc. But they wanted that only victims must come forward and therefore the PIL got dismissed.

Fully agree. I was also conned by the ICICI Life agent . He was introduced to me by the branch manager. But when I had some queries about the policy , the same branch manager washed his hands off. Ditto is the case with ICICI wealth managment. All of them out to swindle you.
The same kind of thing happened to me in ICICI. The person who came to open my salary account, next day he called saying we need to fill your form again as there has been an issue with the last form. Letter on I noticed that he actually opened my demat account by lying. I noticed it after the money deduction. I closed my account but unnecessary lose money😢

Same happened to me. My mother went alone to open an FD and the bank employee got her an insurance policy. She was clueless. Next day when I came to know about it, I called that guy and threatened to first log complaint and then log an FIR. It worked, the policy was terminated and I got my money back. So we need to be aware, don't believe blindly.

thats the result of years of transacting digitally, not really knowing the service provider personally, resignation to one's fate that the law wont help, and of course the affluence. we have seen much more money in our accounts than our parents but it all came comparatively easily, and we didnt realize the value of money when we have it. when we lost it, its digital so maybe the loss isnt sinking in quickly enough. and then the victims just have some hope left of getting help from somewhere.
Credit card payment also , ICICI is creating nuisance. My due date is 2nd of every month. Being a big amount, I paid 90 percent of the total amount on 2nd of the month and balance on the 6th of the same month (i.e. after 4 days of the due date) . But ICICI CHARGED INTEREST on whole amount due on that month. When contacted customer care, they said it's our rule that, when not paid full amount, then interest will b 18:34 CHARGED on the whole amount

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate situation. Suggest three things: 1. that you should declare all the ICICI parties' Full Names, Phones, Email IDs, and branch locations where this happened. The idea is not to shame them (as they may be doing their job as directed) but if these names are the same for others then you are helping to build a strong case against ICICI and others. 2. Bring this to the attention of the Finance Ministry of India. 3. Engage a reputed High Court Attorney on a contingent basis and let ICICI pay you the entire loss, a big share for all your sufferings, and a huge penalty. Then give an update here so others can follow suit and that will teach ICICI a lesson and other bankers to be prudent about their offerings and not play with people's livelihood.

As a Relationship manager with ___ bank I can confirm that we are told to LIE to customers to put their money into best commission generating products for bank. We are given bonus to reach target. Bank does not care if product is not suited for customer's risk tolerance & invstmnt objective. We are told to just get customers signature on forms by hook or crook

The same thing happened with my father by axis Bank. He is a farmer who wants the bank to take a kcc card and then they sell one long term max life insurance policy without informing. We complained online also that only auto generated replies are coming some time getting calls also from bank side and only one answer we are looking at your complaint now more than 5 years over nothing is no solution. They sells policy to a non working person a farmer with without any proof and my father has BP and sugar without any medical they issue the policy to.They told him he is singing a kcc form.

My Sister joined as a banking professional in ABC bank( not disclosing actual name ) . She was unable to face the pressure being exterted by the marketing heads to reach indidvidual targets of bank account openings and selling insurance policies. she got fed up of try selling something that isn't the interest or requirement of the customer and finally resinged it. It is one of the worst job experiences as per her. Feel sorry for the loss of the family. Hope they recover their amount . I would suggest to understand the product completely before investing hard earned money. Even if there is a small dout and confusion just leave it.

Absolutely Right. Same fraud happened with by friends sister. She was sold Life Ins without mentioning the same. But he recorded the employee saying she sold Life INS instead of FD. and employee had to refund everything to my friend and canceled the policy within a month.

This is common practice now. Agents are sitting inside bank and bank employees are redirecting customers to them. Always look for ID card and ask for details in written.

Always go to your bank and do transactions. Use your nearby bank.
Do banking with bankers, not through agents. Most of the salaried class person do at the most four transactios in a month. ATMs are their for daily cash requirements. Cash deposit machines are there. Use standing instructions. Randomly check your statement of account.
I was also offered the same scheme by ICICI bank staff. They missell the Insurance as a Fixed Deposit. I strongly complained at ICICI regarding such mis selling.

By seeing this video and I checked my policy ICICI Prudential, it goes into negative and when I call to customer support they simply said as per market it is going negative. My concern is if my premium goes to negative so why should continue. After 10 yrs also they can say the same thing and our hard earned money will be lost. So I will stop investing in ICICI prudential and better go with LIC plans as this is trusted as per my experience. Thanks for this video for making me aware of.

Why no Pre Issuance Verification call process was adhered to? Why Icici Prudential did not called for ITR/income proof related documents of the customer to verify if he or she would be able to continue premium payment for all these policies or not.

Govt can take action because the persons have signed the agreement without reading terms and themselves responsible.
My sincere advice.. keep 70 percent amont in POST OFFICE or PSB banks in FD. Some 30 percent invest in MF . Safe and more returns.
