oap here x match angler and have fished that peg on medley a fair few times over the years and caught all sorts off it.never seen a perch like that come from that area before but bought back some memmories of times gone by for me and well done on the catch
Really enjoy how Daniel goes about his business. As well as a very humble man, refreshing in this day and age. As usual great video by drennan fab editing.
I can totally empathise with that pre-bite story! I also use a paternoster rig for my live baiting and I use small loafer myself, but let it sit flat on the surface. It means it doesnt take much to see some movement from the livebait, a little shart nudge causes a ripple. And then when it stands up you know you're close. When it dips hard that's your take. Mekes me excited just thinking about it!
I have been calling for Drennan to make a Perch Fishing video with bait and bobbers for ages and we are just starting to see a few now, I would like to see more bait fishing perch videos for sure... I enjoyed this... gotta love an andrew feilds bobber, I used my my own too!
Always look forward to a new Drennam upload and wasn’t disappointed and made me feel better when a great angler blanks just goes to show we are all human 👍 and wow what a fish sadly the good weather we all need seems many months away
Love that bobbing of the float when live baiting. I imagine the baitfish doesn't quite feel the same as I do, though, as it's anchored, unable to escape the approaching Pike or Perch!! 🤔😂
I recognise that large still water. I keep wanting to target the carp but never quite get the time needed these days but like the look of the south. I'll say hello next time I do a lap. Good luck 😎
i’ve only just come across your videos and i must say they’re really good 🙂,tight lines man PS i 🤔/know the reason why your ❤ flutters when you see a BIG 😳 perch in your 30/40/50s is it brings back that boyhood feeling of WOW look at that with a 10/12oz perch 🙂,i’ve mainly been a carp angler for 25+ years but recently i’ve started being an all rounder again,to the point of having to buy new kit lol and get the rust out 😁,happy days, also i’ll be off fly 🎣 fairly soon also🙂,something i haven’t done for 35 years 😁.
during my match angling days i once saw a winter league won on medley 7 or 8 pegs down from where you were with 51lb and the first 3 in the net went almost 20lb and all the decent ones were all spewing out munched up crayfish
At 2.19 i would have been very tempted to use that little guy as livebait might of done a better fish as we know they like smallee versions of themselfs
I love watching this channel, the presenter turns Angling into an art form. Excellent 👍
Hi Mark, Thank you for taking the time to comment. We are so pleased that you enjoyed watching! All the best
Thats because angling is an art form. It's hard to catch fish without knowing what you're doing.
I admire your passion for all the different species and how well you handle them 👏

Great video buddy and that lake where you have not had the big one is a super hard venue, but it has some dream fish in there. Tight lines

As a boy growing up in Scotland, I loved Perch fishing more than anything, just something about the fish appealed to me.
What a great fish....and from tricky father Thames ...well told story ..... inspiring!
Jumping in on someone else's hard work in locating these big perch, well done pal!
at least he was honest and not pretending it was all off his own back.
Lovely video! I have had some good success along that stretch in the past but failed this year, so it's good to see someone did well 👍

Daniel do you use barb’d or barbless hooks for the perch
Real beauty monster 😳👍
At 2.19 i would have been very tempted to use that little guy as livebait might of done a better fish as we know they like smallee versions of themselfs
I've had lots of 4 to 5lb on the same method from the thames and other rivers

You will be judged for torturing those Bleak.
In order to catch perch you must lick the pot
I enjoyed that until he said mega
For God's sake lose the music!!
loads of talking and very little fishing ,why .
He's telling a story you flippin' sausage.
Sorry, i like your Products and your films, but lifebaiting with vertebrates ist a No-Go!

Get a grip. They eat other fish and we put hooks in the fish.
If you're not vegan you don't have a leg to stand on
