@Ytilorpok_kom You Poles are awesome. Catholicism is still strong there, as far as I can see, and that gives us all hope. Stay strong, Poland; you're an example for the whole world.
As a Pole, I feel ashamed that I never knew about this song... but it's never too late! I can't even express what I feel when I listen to it... great love and sentiment to my roots for sure. Today I am showing Poland and Polish culture to my international friends, this song will most definitely be included
@Andrew Yeah, that's the nominative case, I see. But no, "Urod" is not what I had in mind when I head it, for some reason I reformulated the Polish word in my head to Russian as "Urodstvo" but without the suffix. This word in Russian means just the opposite of beauty (ugliness). I find it funny how some similar terms in different languages can be so confusing. But I like Polish, I'm considering choosing it as the third language to learn.
@Andrew Yeah, but that's also similar to a Russian word "zavod", which mean a factory. Still not a 100% match, but these 2 terms already have some kind of connection. And "zovut" in Russian means "they call" or "go by [insert a name]". Dzięki!
@Andrew in Romanian, the word is closely similar to "Urâto" which means "Ugly". I guess it should be obvious since we do have a fair amount of slavic words like "da", "a iubi" (to love), "ciocan" (hammer) and , of course, everyones favourite, "ura".
Imagine a language in which you can perfectly sing despite not understanding a thing of it, but the way it's written makes it impossible to read the lyrics without studying the damn language
The key is to remember that some of the consonant pairs that make a specific sound when together (ch, rz, cz, sz etc.), all letters are pronounced only 1 way (no different ways of saying "a" like in English) and the fact that the accent is usually the strongest in the second-to-last syllable of the word with some exceptions.

Greetings from serbia
I'm russian and "urodo urodo" in russian like "jerk jerk" .
Same here in Croatian, why is Polish such a weird Slavic language ? From the writing to the meaning of words ?
@@kristijanEX I dont know
Polish is like French of slavic languages.
Love Poland from Serbia 💪💪
Help I can't stop hitting the repeat button 😅
you need more subs

I Love The Melody :0
Ilove this song😊
Greetings from Brasil!! This song is amazing!!
Ok this is kinda dark backstory 😭😭✋ still amazing love slavic languages!
Wszystko polskyje mój braty❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Day 1 : find the song by mistake
Day 2 : enjoying the rhythm of it
Day 3 : let's read the lyrics
Day 4 : *urodo, urodo , gdybym ja cię miałą✨️*
Day 5: Abruptly moved to Poland; married a Polish woman from the countryside that doesn't speak a single vowel of English and got "Kurwa" tattooed on my chest in medieval polish script
In Polish, "urodo" seems to mean "beauty". In Russian, "urod" means "ugly". Languages are weird.
Because Russians are not Slavs. In all Slavic languages "uroda" and "wroda" are beauty, only Russians distorted everything
@@chladoslauwhat are they?
@@chladoslau i dont think uroda means beauty in any of the south slavic languages. Dont see why youre so angry.

@@lubelskawies8134 Witajcie, polscy przyjaciele Słowianie. Mimo, że się waśnimy, nie przeszkadza mi to, Ukraince z Rosji, w słuchaniu słowiańskich piosenek. Bardzo piękne teksty! Słowianie, łączcie się. Przykro mi, że wielu zapomniało, co znaczy jedność i sąsiedztwo.
Прекрасная народная музыка, друзья!
0:42 I know that droga in polish is daughter or whatever, but in mexico droga is drug (wmpth)
