This took me back many years. To early 1970's when I spend weekends with my dad in the darkroom.
Excellent! Fine! Thank you! Very interesting!
Harman Company must LOVE you the amount of EXPENSIVE PAPER you use !
Tell me about it Pete!
You are the best film shooting TH-camr out there. I am so glad I found your channel.
Thanks very much ❤️
Cool stuff!
This was really nice. I put in a darkroom back in 1980 when I came back to the states from a tour in Germany. I started out with a Durst, the model I don't remember. When I shut down my darkroom I was using a Durst M605. I loved the darkroom but my wife could not stand some of the chemicals. I have a collection of medium and large-format cameras now. And believe it or not, I have a pretty large cache of film to experiment with - B/W, color, and slide film. There is no excuse for me not to get a little creative. I can daylight process my film, scan the negatives, and have some fun. Thanks for the inspiration for this time of the year.
Hi Roger. Another fantastic video. And it is very emotional to know that you've been keeping your father's pair of glasses. And his photo is brilliant.
Thanks Muharrem
I love shooting still life! You’ve motivated me. Its raining today so Im going to load up the RB67
Nice work, Roger . That got me thinking a still life. Thanks. KB
Glad you enjoyed it Ken
Hey Roger, the shot at 10:00 is great 👍 👌 😀
Cheers Carmine!
A great tribute and brilliant photos!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video Roger, given me some good ideas for rainy days.
Glad to help
If its one of those radiators with the gap down the middle get a couple of cheap metal L-brackets (frame supports) and screw them down the center of the shelf then pop them down the gap. it might wobble but hopefully it won't tip.
Great idea Iain! Cheers
Killer work absolutely love it.
I do like that you find interest in the everyday. Motivates me to go out and shoot.
Beautiful as always ! Thanks Roger !!
Thanks again!
Nice to see your process right through. The result was very effective, sharp and punchy contrast. Perhaps I should pick up some macro tubes for my RB67 since they are quite inexpensive and open up more creative options
Your new name, Roger ' Andre Kertez ' Lowe. I love doing still life. More so now than ever before. It is just too much of an effort getting about on Saturday or Sunday, all that traffic, all those people.
Ha ha, I just haven't fancied it lately bright blue skys and cold. Mind you, we've had some great frosty mornings and I should plan a trip out early.
Like it!
Your passion for photography is contagious. It really cheers me up to see you go
Thanks Alex 😊
The final prints are beautiful!
Thanks Peter
Lovely mate, really enjoyed that one 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Ben
Wow! That last picture is superb! Perfect, thats the sort of photograghy that is timeless and classy. Up there with my all time favourite pictures ive seen!
Thanks Steve
I bought a couple of Tim's carriers for my Omega. Great stuff. I've noticed him in your comments section before. Small world of darkroom printing!
Yes Dane. There is a good community of film shooters all helping eachother out there. Still not been to my po box yet mate will do next week
Great project and great photos! I love your darkroom sessions still!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice Photo! Hope you went to dinner before 6 hours.
Loved it m8 🙂
Cheers Bud!
Beautiful photo! I really love that it has meaning. I really liked one of the ones where the watch is being magnified through the glasses. Those turned out well! Lovely video as always Roger! Gives me inspiration to hop in my darkroom soon!
(P.S. You're a gem, thanks for the shoutout!)
Thank you very much Tim
Looks great and looks like I'll have to order a few things from Bit by bit as well!
Tim has lots of handy 3D printed gear for darkroom
Thanks Phil¡¡
Lucky to have that old timey news paper. I think this would feel bit empty without it. 👍
Definitely Janna!!
Come on! extra underpants and 2 pairs of socks and good to go! Your DaRo works is my personal favorite part! cheers 👍📷
I love that you made the video be in B&W too. The final image is wonderful! ❤️ FYI the exposure needed the extra stop of light with the bellows extension because the image circle grew, dimming the image it rendered.
Thanks for the tip!
I love your darkroom videos since I am also a darkroom guy. But most of all I found quite touching the subject of your print. Started to think about me and my son. And me and my dad.
Thanks for sharing!
What a fun and inspirational video!!
I think you have got me to thinking about shooting some film indoors this weekend. I wonder if I can somehow set up my 6x17 view camera to do some semi-close up shots like this?
Worth a try!!
Wow!! Massive negs!!
Nice tribute. I lost most of the family heirlooms in a burglary, still got my Grans Clock which I’ll shoot soon when the new to me F100 arrives! Nice to had a record of the important stuff!
P.s. looks like your old man kept more hair than you! 😂😂
Ha ha he did too!! Sorry to hear the burglary. Such a Shame
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss Thanks Roger..was when we lived in Essex not on the Island thankfully! 👍👍
lovely result. However I'm concerned your dinner was cold....
It was!!
What lens were ypu using on the mamiya for this shoot. Awesome photos, great videos!
It was a Mamiya 90mm Anna
Nice. Is that a cold light enlarger...
No Sundar. A 75w screw in bulb inside.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss ... Oh! Nice...
I love my fujifilm 2B condenser enlarger ... bygone days..
How do you maintain the temperature of chemicals (particularly developer) in the open trays ?
They dip slightly during a session. I can tell when they do as it takes longer for the image to come through. I pour them into jugs and warm them back up in the microwave.
Hey Roger, what make of tripod is that you're using? Cheers
It's a Beschoi M284. Good tripod but wears a bit quick. Legs get a bit stuck but it's not very expensive
I thought you got yourself a 6x7 back for the RZ?
No, never did! If I had to it would be 6x6 back but they are costly
