I just got off the phone with Morgan Fuel and they informed me that they are certainly still shipping to Canada. The problem is with Hi Performance Distributors in that they have decided not to carry the Morgan line of fuels anymore. I did speak with a representative at Hi Performance and they said that they just shipped out their spring 2024 order to all the hobby shops in Canada. Hobby shops do not need to rely on Hi Performance Distributor in Canada, they can still order direct from Morgan Fuel. UPDATE - Just to confirm, Sidewinder and their entire Morgan Fuel line is not pulling out of Canada. The only problem is the hobby shops that get their inventory from Hi Performance Distributors in Abbotsford BC. In this case, your local hobby shops will need to order directly from either Morgan Fuel, or through Horizon Hobby.
That sucks big time man! I just pulled out almost 4 gallons of old fuel that I had stored, hopefully it's still good. I can't see any separation so I'm gonna try it again and see if it'll run or not. Hey brother so if the fuel has been stored air tight and out of sunlight it's usually good for several years maybe give it a good shake just in case it has separated and observe it for any kind of separation or cloudiness if it looks like a milkshake it's probably no longer good. KBN 💯

I dug out a gallon of VP 30% a year ago. It was over 12 ish years old. I dumped it down the road and lit it up. Lol. Ohhhh the smell. And it burnt bright white. It was hard to look at. I just my buddies back out after 20 years of storage. Getting ready to go again lol.
A guy made a post and I reposted it on my TH-cam walthin about the whole situation here and basically this high performance industry is placed that carries a fuel isn't going to be carrying it anymore but each hobby shop can order directly from Morgan fuel if they choose to. And I guess Morgan fuels didn't do some sort of legal paperwork stuff so they're having an issue right now where VP did have other paperwork in check so I think everything will be fine but I guess only time will tell.
I was told by a reliable source who works for VP fuel that there are some new regulations going into affect starting in July and that all the nitro fuel producers have to register their brand... as of about 3 weeks ago the only one to get their paperwork in to date has been VP. She told me that there will be quite a few that will no longer be able to sell their products in the US and Canada. This may be the start of it.
Well that sucks. Guess I’m gonna go buy a gallon today.. I like the vp stuff I’m running it in my truggy.. and looks like I have a hook up for it my local dirt bike shop says they can bring it in for me if I buy 6 gallons at a time. So I’ll sell off some when I get it 👍🏻👍🏻
During the pandemic period, I got nitrous from the drag car guys, bought Methanol, Klotz and Castor Oil and for a while I manufactured my own fuel... we have 3 manufacturers in Brazil, and little by little they started producing again and normalizing commerce.
John at Model Aviation Products in Manitoba will custom mix any fuel you want. He is the nicest person you would ever meet and a huge asset to the hobby. Hopefully this post doesnt get removed

Unfortunately this is true, passed by my local hobby shop in Toronto yesterday and my hobby guy happened to tell me the same thing as I was leaving the shop, said he has enough fuel in storage for this summers demand but will need to find a new supplier come next summer 2025.
Time to move to the Usa. Where I live in the North here. From my house within 30min drive There are 3 hobby stores and 4 tracks. We don’t even have car inspections.
Yeah if you're car is falling apart driving down the street then yeah you're probably gonna get a ticket to fix it it's not too bad like that here we don't have any emissions control services anymore which is nice but I would like to get a dual citizenship passport but that's the expense of it takes several years and a lot of applying to do that although I live only 30 minutes from the border it's a big pain in the ass and I'm still trying to get my passport back currently.
here in the NL we can only get 16% now but you see company's quit the rc fuel ,but other companys take over if there's money to be made somebody will always step in . so don't worry just be patience and search the web for the info👍😉

I’m in eu, poland to be exact, getting nitro fuel is hard here, most i can get is 25%, and its expensive, i think i somehow need to get pure nitromethane and do my own fuel
25% is good we run lots of it. It's about 75$ for 3.785L or 1 US gallon here in Vancouver Canada 100% nitro is very expensive and can be very difficult to get depending on where you live. When the hobby shop is out of stock we run 0% nitro about 21$ a gallon and we make it at home

Over here only 95% Nitro needs minimum paperwork. And yes it is super expensive. Anything below 40% is street-legal and cheap. Methanol is $ 2usd per kg/l. Also I don't get it why companies cut their revenue whenever its possible. Not a capitalist thing to do.
This is a real bummer. Remember some years ago when EU forbid higher than 12% nitro fuel (yes, the 16% labeled eu fuel is actually 12%). Fortunate the Swedish authorities made it easy for us to get a license so we can get real fuel) 👍. Hopefully, it works out for you in Canada as well so you can get proper fuel for your engines. And to be fair, the 16% labeled fuels in Sweden aren't that bad actually 🙂

It does have oils in it but not nearly enough or the right kind also that sort of petroleum product will not hold a catalytic reaction with the glow plug like with methanol. I ran VP 20 years ago. I just pulled my RC nitros out after 20 years. I put them away in 2004. I have 2 Sportwerks Mayhems I bought in 2004. Kids are gone time to play. I ran VP 30% back then. Nitro has dwindled. We are trying to bring it back
Fuel is gonna be available for a while but hobby shops are gonna have to start ordering directly from the manufacturer rather than high performance industries which carry the fuel here so whether or not they're gonna do that or not is a different story
What would be a good idea is to make your own fuel using the ingredients you came up with and sell it I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there who you pay good money for it considering that’s practically the only option
@@thebug4046 you have a very popular TH-cam channel I’m sure that could be a good way to promote it and as a matter of fact I would buy it your formula never seems to disappoint I think with maybe a few tweaks the fuel could be at a similar preformance with other nitro fuels while being more cost efficient and easier to obtain

I know France has restrictions on there fuel and are only allowed to sell up to 20% now maybe something like that will happen where the faze out 25/30%

Yep it's a pretty sad time I can tell you that much and they will ship here but the border fees are so expensive it's not worth it
canada just became that much more gay, VP is great they supply most other companies with nitro methane anyway

I guess the company called high performance industries is no longer carrying it but I apparently understand that hobby shops can order it directly from horizon whether or not they're going to do that as a different story.
