When Simon left the show, I stopped watching it because it just wasn't the same without him. They tried to get other people to judge like Simon but Simon is IRREPLACEABLE! He's one of a kind. I always found his brutal honesty and harsh criticism to be very entertaining and the reactions people gave him for it. He was never afraid to be the bad guy. It's the best motivation a singer or wannabe singer could have. That's a good quality in a judge. It's also a good quality for running a business or coaching a professional sports team. I have only seen 2 other people that judge like Simon Cowell; Judge Judy and the Angry Video Game Nerd.

He pretty much made AGT & BGT so yeah he's qualified lol. just had to say something haha. Sorry that was crappy. Anyways, I think if they would've kept the three of them it still would be a show with MAJOR ratings. but Im kinda glad they stopped because it just wasn't like the beginning. xoxoxo
It was like a romantic movie simon walked out with a big smile on his face going straight to Paula and Paula just turned her head to look back, then the magic happened they laugh and have a warm, full of love reunion. 😻
Simon actually has shut down rumors of it getting the boot, the real reason it ended was because he was crazy busy producing AGT, judging and producing on BGT, judging and again producing (as the creator) on X Factor UK, and I think he also Co Produced American Idol. He said it was way too hard for him to do everything. Also, The Voice played a big part in the cancelling by cheating in some ways. I loved that show though, and maybe since Idol ended, it'll come back... I hope anyways! I loved Simon and Demi together!
These were the BEST American Idol judges! I didn't even watch this last season so I had no idea that they came back at the end. I did like Keith, Jennifer, and Harry but Simon, Paula and, Randy were the absolute best. They were so funny together and made the show really entertaining. When Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey became judges I completely lost interest in the show. All they did was argue, it was so annoying.
