I just got an answer from the Army Painter regarding the grains in the Nuclear Sunrise paint: "I'm very sorry to hear of the faulty Speedpaint! We have had a couple reports of this issue. It seems to be an environmental factor that we didn't experience in our testing" They will make a money refund for the faulty paint, but i don't want the money, just a replacement bottle. since i cant buy a new one. i need the paint not the money :-)
I recently received my own 2.0 set, and completed a customers entire Wood Elf army in less than a week using these new paints. Not exactly my usual painting style, but my customer was delighted, and I was very impressed with how some of these paints dry and shade themselves as the do so :-) I tried them over a discount shop rattle can grey primer for some Nurgle minis I had in my ever-growing pile of shame, and the effects were truly eye-opening, making the figures look so much more diseased and Nurgleicious (That's my term for Nurgle figures that end up looking truly stomach turning :-D), and I got an entire box of Pox Bearers done in less than a third of my usual painting time, so I am pretty delighted with this set. I hadn't done the white paint followed by the paint colour on the tops of the bottles, so thank you for showing that, as I can now do it myself, and see the different shades for what they dry as, and sort them into dark to light shades for myself. Honestly, after 50 years in the hobby, I still learn something new every day, which is what keeps this hobby fresh and exciting for me :-D
Pre-ordered the Speedpaint Mega Set 2.0 a while back from their webpage and got it delivered last Thursday (2 days before the store release date), all paints are the old labels (no "2.0" and no color description in the lower right corner of the label.) I think it might have been an early pre-order that had some extras, I got a mixing palette and a Speedpaint brush in the box too.
Oh and I mention this on another comment but I got 2 brushes with mine and the palette (one a basecoat brush and the other a fine silver brush). Did everyone get 2 brushes?
Yes, when working with speedpaint you prime with a bright color, and then you get 3 coates in one stroke. Shadow, midtone and highlight. No need for washes. If you want to try them. Buy a couple of brown, green and blue. An see if it will work for you😀

The idea with the colored dot on the bottlecaps is brilliant 👌
I did my whole caps in the colors. lol. Might have overdone it.
I like your review format very much!
These look great! I got my set last week as well. Love them!

I only got the brush. Maybe contact AP their support is very good
Mine's the same. Do the new ones have 2.0 on them? I was wondering that as there's no clear way to tell them apart.

@@olebrogger I'm sure it's just older labels, I guess they produced a bunch of bottles before they updated them.
Just hit sub! Good job.
Hi, I am new to the colouring. So we just need to prime the miniature, then use this Speedpaint and that's all? No need to wash afterwards?

@@olebrogger thank you!!
Reactivation and glossy look really angered me with the gen 1. These do look more impressive
