The right whoops are way more tame than the left. We saw that in a previous episode when they switched lanes on a race and the guy smoked him in a run it back.
tank top or shirtless isnt so bad in this soil type, but no boots is not something I would ever take the risk on (helmet being the most important obviously)
The butcher is into style, he makes clothing and you can be sure he's always wearing black and white clothing, with vans. Shorts and Sneakers are common in the cali dyna/sportster scene. Dudes use their bike as transportation, it's hot, and its uncomfortable to wear riding boots all day when your only on the bike 10% of the day. As a dirtbike rider, I always wear mx boots. on my dyna, it's 50/50. Often just vest, helmet, gloves.
It’s so weird hearing the sound of a Harley Davidson v twin fighting for traction on an off-road surface. I’m digging the off-road ‘this vs that’ series! Pun intended. I’m hoping to see some more blower action!
The sportster engines may be Harley's smallest but they put in work. The thing i was surprised at was how much more powerful the bikes felt. I've ridden a sportster, Street bob, and a street glide. They all just make so much power. For example, I could start my street bob off in 4th gear and it would pull me without so much as a wump wump of hesitation. They may not rev high or fast but the engine WILL spin.
whoever had the idea to do these off-road this vs that vids is a genius! these are amazing to watch especially with the drone camera takes. I felt like I was in the race
3:10 Nah he's right. Iron Sportster (The one he's using for his build, you can see the Air Cooled Pushrod) and it is 550lbs. The NEW LIQUID COOLED ONE Sportster S (2022-onwards) is 485-502lbs (depending on addons).
With the amount of air they get in the jumps, I think adding a ruler about where they hit the peak in the air would be a nice touch. Love this, keep them coming!!
Watching the last drone shot and just seeing the body of the truck float over the whoops with the suspension and tires just a swangin' was awesome!!! 13:17
Mark killed it on a modded street bike ! That's pretty damned impressive. Those whoops gotta have a timing to them for a clean run for smaller vehicles. I'm waiting to see someone hit the first and clear two or more at a time
Between these two dudes, Wilkey, and that monster truck guy, this vs that offroad is my favorite hoonigan series. Some of the peeps on tarmac get so bitter so quick. Offroad homies are where it's at.
Zac and Gary are the PERFECT combination for advertisement 🤣🤣🤣 also: that was easily the BEST race i've ever seen on the Hoonigan channel, next to the Hoonicorn vs Audi RS3 drag race.
never thought dude would let off before the whoops keep that front tire up. its a v twin on off road suspension the rear wheel never leaves the ground. manual through never would have lost
Keep it up brother ain’t stopping me from checking these PPV out, it’s easy to steam to a platform but when your the platform it’ll have its hiccups, don’t let that stop the PPV!
Laying in a hospital bed currently with 3 broken limbs all needing pins and plates, be careful y’all bikes are no joke! Ride safe and look both ways brothers!🤟🏻❤️🩹
Love the look of the bike....in CA, back in the early 80s I had a 76 snortster that enjoyed a few deliberate offroad excursions. Was coming from a dirtbike background so it was a better fit than the heavy cruisers.
In road racing we want our vehicles to be as light as possible to get a higher power to weight ratio. In offroad truck racing that weight is an asset. The weight of the vehicle helps to keep it stable and smooth over undulating terrain. Instead of bouncing the trucks suspension works with the weight to make it smooth and predictable.
werd up to the drone pilot, skills. The biker is got some balls to run that in a tang and the truck and driver are great. That motor setup is amazing and the suspension spared no expense. nice vid
the way that truck suspension takes the whoops is a thing of real beauty
The right whoops are way more tame than the left. We saw that in a previous episode when they switched lanes on a race and the guy smoked him in a run it back.
That truck runs across them like a rock skipping across a pond.
Came here to say the same thing, beautiful
Never thought I'd see a dude scrubbing a sportster off motocross jumps lol. He killed it.
a sportster built like that is actually not that uncommon had a customer who had on of these but from the 90s
Mark's been doing it for years! Look up old footage from before he blew his knee. Makes Evel look tame.
@@atragerlspezi9500 There was one on Chicago Craigslist for literally a decade, he wanted 15 grand for it lmao
right? that bike is insane
883 is the only Harley I would ever buy. Most are so chunky... I don't like weight.
Hopefully a nicely used 2 or 3 years old
more bikes please!!!
I'd like to see how a 450cc dirt bike would fare against that truck.
Agreeed! More bikes
More Bikes Please!
@@brazoon1 you spelled 500cc 2 stroke wrong
@@brazoon1”fade” is definitely exaggeration
I love watching the suspension on race trucks articulate through the whoops
Me too. I hit rewind so many times JUST to watch just that.😂😂😂
Gary nailed the suspension dance lol
@@VGMO17lmao he absolutely did. Perfect imitation. Gary is a national treasure
***gnarticulate***
Mark is one crazy dude , going full send with sneakers and a tank top , no protective gear only a helmet😮💪
That's what I'm saying.. very brave lol
And I'm sure the helmet was a requirement to run
tank top or shirtless isnt so bad in this soil type, but no boots is not something I would ever take the risk on (helmet being the most important obviously)
i think its dumb and unnecessairy. who you want to impress except for the hospital invoice?
The butcher is into style, he makes clothing and you can be sure he's always wearing black and white clothing, with vans. Shorts and Sneakers are common in the cali dyna/sportster scene. This was like a mx vs atv unleashed vehicle race on a mini Redbull straight rhythm track. This is the best episode of this vs that off-road so far!
That last drone shot was epic. Every race should have that kind of shot.
Prerunners are just so sick 🔥🔥
This has got to be the best series y'all've made in a minute, really loving the offroad action. Completely different strats than the asphalt
It’s so weird hearing the sound of a Harley Davidson v twin fighting for traction on an off-road surface. I’m digging the off-road ‘this vs that’ series! Pun intended. I’m hoping to see some more blower action!
If you like this check out the guy that hill climbs a Harley - it’s obscene. 😮
You should look up literal decades of flat track tracing.
The sportster engines may be Harley's smallest but they put in work. The thing i was surprised at was how much more powerful the bikes felt. I've ridden a sportster, Street bob, and a street glide. That last FPV drone shot was clean and epic . Shed some love to that pilot.
Gary took that shot like a champ from that wheel bounce lol 😂 I know he felt that.
Him casually checking that all his teeth are in place during the ad sent me.
MX vs ATV in real life is exactly what I need more of in my life
whoever had the idea to do these off-road this vs that vids is a genius! these are amazing to watch especially with the drone camera takes. I felt like I was in the race
This race put a huge smile on my face

Gary's reaction to the Silverado in the whoops 😂I feel like this was the best TVT Off-Road so far! SO sick
The Harley with some more travel in the rear would be awesome. The whoops are rough with 3” of travel.
hey i was wrong but only 8 lbs off. not 208lbs haha. thanks for having me!!
Sportster began as a scrambler after all and was competitive for many years in desert racing in the "desert sled" era.
Damn I didn’t know girls used to race bikes in the dirt
@@badabing2302 damn Almost like the sportster is harleys longest produced model

Catch me flat footing the heaviest dirtbike known to man
I thought there was no way the truck was going to catch that bike but, that Truck hooks up!!! Wow! What a match up! Well done Hoonigan's !!!
The crew really hit it out of the park with this series! Thanks for keeping it rolling boys!!
So happy to finally see more two wheel content on Hoonigan, and the Butcher himself made it even better! We need a Hoonigan 2-wheel division!
That man is FAST on that bike!
With the amount of air they get in the jumps, I think adding a ruler about where they hit the peak in the air would be a nice touch. Love this, keep them coming!!
been watching rusty butcher for awhile stoked to see him on the show
Watching the last drone shot and just seeing the body of the truck float over the whoops with the suspension and tires just a swangin' was awesome!!! 13:17
Mark killed it on a modded street bike !
That's pretty damned impressive.
Those whoops gotta have a timing to them for a clean run for smaller vehicles. I'm waiting to see someone hit the first and clear two or more at a time
We absolutely need more bikes
This new series is a breath of fresh air. Awesome races, cool people and wild match ups.
These are awesome! Never stop making these!
This is the most controversial race I've ever seen 4 wheels VS 2 wheels, which is better honestly both freaking love this series.
That truck suspension.... Chef's kiss!
Between these two dudes, Wilkey, and that monster truck guy, this vs that offroad is my favorite hoonigan series. Some of the peeps on tarmac get so bitter so quick. Offroad homies are where it's at.
Now since there's bikes in this aswell I would love to see Josh Hill on the Varg compete against some insane 4-wheeler in this series.
Varg with Josh Hill would destroy the truck.
Probably the best off-road match yet as of 11-28!
THE BEST VERSION OF THIS VS. THAT.
4:38 "We don't ride teenage wheels."
Least accurate description of fuel wheels I have heard in my life.
He launched that truck on the 3rd race, HOLY $H!T
Mark is a baaaad maaaan! More bikes please!!!
RIP to Mark's ankles. Dude out here doing this in skate shoes.
😂😂
I might be the only one but I appreciate the audio work to extract decent sound from the drone shots.
Man, I think this is the best episode of the off-road series yet. Both guys giving maximum effort with such different machines. Awesome!
What a crazy set of runs we NEED MORE BIKES bikes are sick please bring more
The drone chasing them is awesome, best way to watch. Makes you feel like your part of the race.
“7! Yeah wow… that’s good enough for me”. Quality cut.
Some dirt bike races would be dope at that track! But also, give us that pre-runner vs a ford pre-runner, PLEASE 😉
That Fuel commercial was GOLDEN!
Mark: Hero. Truck whoops: Mesmerizing. Off-Road Series: Mint.
Alex kowaliuk here the dude on the Harley is a legend super sketchy dangerous.hell yeah
Can we get more content than just “This vs that”? You’ve beaten the life of this concept a long time ago, & now it’s all this channel has to offer
That race was nuts more please
Zac and Gary are the PERFECT combination for advertisement 🤣🤣🤣 also: that was easily the BEST race i've ever seen on the Hoonigan channel, next to the Hoonicorn vs Audi RS3 drag race.
never thought dude would let off before the whoops keep that front tire up. its a v twin on off road suspension the rear wheel never leaves the ground. manual through never would have lost
Looking more and more like MotorStorm and I’m here for it
The Silverado inspires me to finish my project truck!!!
One of the best races so far !!!
First off... this is insane...
2nd, that ad read was 🔥
Bro that Silvy just GLIDED over those humps! The suspension just ate em. Gotta love trophy trucks dude
That truck is DIALED!
Fantastic race.
That drone operator is awesome... he was flippin rippin that thang!
Build n Battle & This vs That off-road - best Hoonigan shows 💯 🤙
Sick race! Dude on bike was booking it, Kenny’s truck was dancing. super close race.
Gary bouncing that tire, talking about teenage tires sent me 💀💀💀
Does this remind anyone of MX Unleashed racing that trophy truck 🔥
That was the most simple scientific description I've ever heard... Please
continue to make similar videos...
What a race! Also, who would've thought the guy w the Harley converted to an off road bike is the chillest
...the acceleration of the old harley is amazing- but the whoops are a killer...respect for the rider !
Easily the best race yet. That was so fun to watch
I was sure that the rider wouldn't even be close enough to get a whiff of the truck's exhaust. Well, hell! Turned out to be a fantastic set of races!!
I know this is mostly a car channel but i love seeing bike stuff too.
Keep it up brother ain’t stopping me from checking these PPV out, it’s easy to steam to a platform but when your the platform it’ll have its hiccups, don’t let that stop the PPV!
That Sportster is killer! I freaking love it!
Dude that Harley is so awesome, and you can tell the dude whoops on the bike too and has fun.
One of the best races yet
I've raced alongside with Mark "Rusty Butcher", that dude is fast af with that machine. The reason why I modified my Triumph scrambler! fun times
Beautiful..., just beautiful...i rooted for the Harley but the Silverado came on top. Both amazing machines and again a beautiful race
Please keep this series going
yo these edits got me in stitches 😂
hoonigan editors never miss but this mfer had their red bull today
That truck is seriously fast.. impressive.. more bikes 👍
Suspension is EVERYTHING in offroad
The truck was ruthless on the whoopty doos!
This is my favorite series keep it going!
Laying in a hospital bed currently with 3 broken limbs all needing pins and plates, be careful y’all bikes are no joke! Ride safe and look both ways brothers!🤟🏻❤️🩹
Get an AMA pro to hit that track! Sending those tables to the moon
Gary’s one of my favorite dudes!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 It’s like 10 minutes in, though, you’re begging for mercy from laughing so hard your side hurts.
Love the look of the bike....in CA, back in the early 80s I had a 76 snortster that enjoyed a few deliberate offroad excursions. Was coming from a dirtbike background so it was a better fit than the heavy cruisers.
This is the best. Thanks for some crazy content.
Bikes are sick! Some hang time on the third rip!! Now I want a damn off road sportser..
In road racing we want our vehicles to be as light as possible to get a higher power to weight ratio. In offroad truck racing that weight is an asset. The weight of the vehicle helps to keep it stable and smooth over undulating terrain. Instead of bouncing the trucks suspension works with the weight to make it smooth and predictable.
the only thing better than the video is the drum and bass tunes
More motorbikes please! 🏍
This was the best race yet! Such a great match up! Super close!
Nothing like watching that truck go over the whoops. So smooth
That ad though... Classic
A slo-mo camera at the last section would be sick. Just imagine all those crazy suspension shots in slow-mo 🤯 Keep it up Hoonigans 🍺🍺🍺
HANNAH’S BACK!!!
YEAH BUD!! I had my doubts about the truck winning but dang fricken rocket ship over those whoops!!! Good race boys!!!

That prerunner through those whoops though… 😮
